Goodmorning everyone, Please is it compulsory to attach one's payslips along with stamped bank statements as POF for a French Visa? I was told that it is absolutely necessary to include payslips but i do not know how true this info is. Can a bank statement suffice in the absence of payslips? Thank you |
Ok, thank you. Other citizenship is Senegalese. Also, if i have just 5 months validity left on my Nigerian passport, can i still reapply for a Uk visa while renewing the passport? Thank you. Tutu82: |
Yes i stated my other nationality and inputted my passport's information. You can use your other passport as long as it was acquired legitimately. In your previous application, did you state your other nationality?[/quote] |
Goodmorning all, I applied for a UK tourist visa last year which was refused, i have worked on the issues raised for the refusal and now i want to reapply but i would like to use my other passport because i have dual nationality, i used my Nigerian passport previously. Although i was born here, i live and work here, but i am wondering if that's even possible to use a different passport to reapply or i should just use my Nigerian passport like i did the first time. Please i need advice. I know there are so many questions here that need answers, please don't skip mine. Thanks a lot ![]() |
Hello guys, Please can i reapply for a tourist visa with 5 months validity remaining on my passport? Thank you very much |
I had no idea i could use 3 months bank statement when my salary was delayed a few months ago which eventually led to a refusal (i was paid the money owed after i had submitted my documents and sadly i didn't write a cover letter) Currently, i am trying to build my account. The real issue is that the organization i work for gets money semi annually for payment of salaries and sometimes delay happens (African factor)due to reasons above my pay grade, this usually happens beginning of the year and mid year and honestly if i were to wait for consistent payment for 6 months straight before reapplying, i may have to wait a long time. So my questions are: - Can i use a 5months bank statement when reapplying? - If salary is delayed and eventually paid, will i need to indicate it on the cover letter and explain in detail what caused the delay and add my bank statement as proof? - My salary account is a dorm account, is there a need to provide my Naira accounts? I only use them for my daily expenses. - Will i need to provide a new introduction letter from my company or will my employment contract/certificate suffice? - If i were to withdraw a sizable amount from my account to fund a holiday trip, would that be a red flag? - Can i still add my land papers acquired 2 years ago? I didn't include it in my former application. My biggest challenge honestly is the salary thing, i don't know how to work around it. P.S - I am not in a hurry to go to the UK, I am only trying to get as much information as possible so i won't make the same mistake as before. Thank you for your time Best |

Congrats... Did you accompany your bank statement with a payslip? Can a stamped 5 or 6 months bank statement suffice without payslip? pufframmy: |
Wow this is concerning o.. Emergencies can happen that will make one withdraw multiple times from their account.. tintall: |
Good morning all, Can one take passport photos for the US visa in any photo studio? I'm asking because of the specifications stated. Thank you |
Good day house, I have a question pls. Can multiple withdrawals from an account hurt one's chances of obtaining a UK visa? You might quote a particular amount as monthly expense but end up making multiple withdrawals in a month due to emergencies. Also, can one's monthly expense figure increase due to the high cos of living compared to the figure quoted previously on the application form which got a refusal? Will the difference not be an issue while reapplying? Thank you. |
Hello house, I would like to attend a seminar in the US in October. What are the chances of getting an interview date before that time? I would like to be advised before i proceed. Thank you. |
Thank you for your kind words. Tbh I built up my account up until that point, evidently a lot could have been avoided and hopefully there won't be any more payment delays. Cashmadam: |
Thank you Giselle. I can see where I got it wrong. Tbh there was no rush to visit the UK, just some decisions that weren't well thought of led to that. giselle237: |
Good evening all Happy Ramadan, I just got a refusal letter. I did my biometrics on the 23rd of March. I think the first mistake I made was to use the black market rate to calculate my salary, I get paid in USD and at the time I applied I didn't know about Oanda or Nairaland and I noticed the Eco's conversion was in Pounds and slightly higher than what I earn. I hope this wouldn't be seen as deceit from my side. The main reason for my refusal as stated was that there was no inflow of cash from December to March. I agree that there was some payment delay from December to February (3 months). I didn't know how long it was going to take and I had sufficient funds to cover my trip, an invitation letter from a friend who is a British national, he agreed to accommodate me during my 2 weeks stay so we decided that I put in my application instead of waiting for my outstanding salary. I did state I'd be spending 1.1m( 2,123 £)on the trip Payment for March only was made right before I printed my bank statement and went for my biometrics, I honestly thought that would suffice. Exactly a month after my biometrics I was paid for the months owed. (Too little too late). Please I just want to know how to proceed, how soon should I reapply? Should I also state that I used the black market rate of that day which resulted to a slightly higher salary as calculated by the Eco which was different from what was captured on my statement. How should I prove that the deposit that came in really was for the outstanding salary? Lastly, is it advisable to use the tourism route this time with a shorter stay (maybe 9 days) given my friend and I aren't on good terms and he's not giving another invitation letter. Please how do you advise I handle this? Where do you think I went wrong please? I'm stuck. Thank you |
