Thank you for your replies so far. I got married to a US Citizen in August. My wife Filed the I-i30 on September 24th. USCIS sent a NOA stating our petition is processing, also saying She should signup online to create an account on the USCIS site. My question is while we are waiting the petition been approved. Will I be granted a visitors visa to go visit for like 3weeks and come back? And how long will it most likely take to get approved? Thank you as I await your response.Any advice will be much appreciated.
Think of it like this: You want to leave the country on a permanent basis so your wife filed the I-130 form. Now you say you want to visit her and come back. How do you convince the visa officer that you intend to come back and not elope, seeing as your previous petition hasn't been approved?

Seems like a daunting task if you ask me.

PS I totally understand how you feel because I'm wearing the same shoes. You can send a mail to marvinoigiangbe@gmail.com let's rub minds.

Thank you!!!. Sure it will. Just be confident and speak clearly, as long as your relationship is a genuine one you have nothing to be afraid off. Also go with as much evidence as you can gather, most likely they won't ask for it but still go with it anyways. I found that having all those documents and stuff that proved my relationship helped to boost my confidence on that day. IP= International passport, PP= Passport Photograph
Please what state did your spouse file from?
Can I contact you?

Good morning Gurus.
I'm new to this thread. Here's my story.
I'm a nigerian doctor. I met this beautiful girl online November last year. She's US citizen from Florida.
We got married on her second visit to Nigeria last week.

I have gone through the USCIS website on how to get an immigrant visa, but I'd like to get further information on what I'm supposed to do in a step wise manner so I don't make mistakes.

How long does the process take? What documents should I provide?

Please help!

Morning Drs. & aspiring Drs. How was your night? I'm an aspiring medical student of OAU. Actually, I feel the passion to study medicine & I know, by God's grace, I'm in already. Nonetheless, I have heard various things about this course. I'm not moved. I just want our "Ogaas" in the thread to shed more light on what the course is & what it means to study medicine in Nigeria. What's the least duration a medical student is expected to read for daily? I hear the reading never stops. Lol! Is it really as hard as people say it is? I would be glad if I get answers from great intellectuals like you. Thanks & God bless.
Well, first of I'm a 500 level student of AAU. Medicine in Nigeria is tough, really tough. Yes there's gonna be a lot of reading (trust me, it's no joke), but determination is key. Duration will depend on the school. It's 6 years in most federal schools(UNILORIN, UNN, NAU, OAU, UNILAG etc), it could be 6 and half in some others, then mostly 7 in state schools.
When you eventually get admitted, seek advice from seniors, pray, keep your head up, work hard. You'll be good. I hope this helps.
