Omo_Tier1: There is no need to spread fear on here. Qatar Airways Airbus planes are few years old and Qatar Airways have one of the best safety records you can think of. FYI, the A330 is a very robust Aircraft, only rival by the B777.My friend which one is spreading fear again. What has being the best airline got to do with something I witnessed? I am talking abt an experience I had on board a Qatar airways flight from Dubai enroute Doha, february 18th to be precise. Plane cldnt land on first approach and we almost overshot the runway during the second attempt. It appears you are a Qatar airways employee, the incident must have been recorded by the pilot, simply check your company records for the mentioned date and stop blabbing already haba. |
Thank God it was averted. Had a similar experience on same plane sometime in february. The NCAA shld thoroughly inspect that plane to ensure its air-worthy. Also worthy of mention is the fact that the man in d synagogue asked his congregation to pray against an imminent disaster. His supporters wld have given him d glory were this not averted. Thank God we have been spared all that trash! |
This rumour is totally baseless. Not a chance of it happening. Not in a million years! Rumour rating=1/10. |

DStv’s SuperSport is delighted to confirm that it has acquired the Nigerian rights to the Barclays Premier League for the next three seasons 2010/11 to 2012/13. The arrangement includes 380 Barclays Premier League matches, plus the Premier League’s 24-hour content service in high definition. This seven-day-a-week service launches on August 13 and will be broadcast across the whole of sub-Saharan Africa, including Nigeria. The Premier League has traditionally enjoyed outstanding viewership ratings on SuperSport and this commercial arrangement is expected to amplify the league’s popularity. The Barclays Premier League is the biggest continuous annual sporting event in the world, followed by more than 2.5 billion fans and broadcast to more than 500 million homes. “Nigeria will be one of the very first countries to receive the 24-hour content service,” said Imtiaz Patel, CEO of SuperSport. “We are delighted to lead the way with our partners at the Premier League and associates in Nigeria.” Commenting on the news, chairman of MultiChoice Nigeria, Adewunmi Ogunsanya, said: “We are happy to welcome back the English Premier League onto the DStv platform in Nigeria, to stand alongside the other exciting international soccer coverage we already provide to our subscribers here. “However, our focus remains firmly on showcasing homegrown talent from the Nigerian Premier League and we will continue our investments in this regard. “As a Nigerian business that is committed to providing our growing subscriber community across Nigeria with the world’s best channels and programming, we are pleased that SuperSport were able to take up the opportunity when it presented itself, to ensure that fans of this league will not miss any action from it.” Premier League chief executive, Richard Scudamore, added: “We are pleased to extend our partnership with SuperSport into Nigeria and are confident they will continue to deliver a premium product that will showcase the Barclays Premier League to our many fans in the territory.” This sounds like a piece of good news for me but begs the question, what becomes of HiTv's EPL rights ![]() |

Your analogy with chelsea ruined the thread. Secondly, i see no connection between the vices you mentioned and the ASUU strike. You were apparently bored and waited all day only for your team to get raped effortlessly. chelseabmw:And that includes you i reckon. |
sherry lo:Here's the correct link, http://www.tribune.com.ng/25092009/news/sports1.html St. Edwin:Could you explain which of them you are referring to as the children, cos from what i can make out, there isnt much age difference (if any) btw our dear flying eagles players and the super eagles. |
sherry lo:Lukman Haruna has since been replaced by Odion Ighalo as the team captain. http://www.tribune.com.ng/25092009/news/sports1.htmld |

Emerging from her melodramatic behavior past week, Mrs. Adebayo a.k.a Mama returned to Ado-Ekiti yesterday. Today she swung into action, repeated her macabre dance and imposed Engr. Segun Oni as governor of Ekiti state. Official results obtained by our correspondent in Ado-Ekiti (collation center) shows PDP in both wards. Our checks revealed that in Oye 1, the Action Congress (AC) had 569 votes while People Democratic Party (PDP) tally was 628 votes. In Oye 2, AC scored 261 votes, while PDP registered 611 votes. Thus sum total votes cast for AC is 830, while PDP was 1,239.However, the registered voters in the two wards in Oye Local Government Area is 18,000. The re-run election which commenced at 8am, was held under tight security, and witnessed very low voters turn out. Most polling centers visited by our team at 3.30p.m, had rounded up. However, movement was restricted as Ekiti state remained under curfew till 6pm.But,hours after the elections were concluded at the wards, the INEC office in Ado-Ekiti was besieged by party faithfuls, consequently resulting in a melee that temporarily prevented Mrs. Ayoka Adebayo from officially releasing the result. Nevertheless, when she eventually did, she threw the entire Ekiti state into a sticky situation as she returned the deposed governor Segun Oni. I feel compelled to contribute. I must admit I am quite surprised at how difficult people are making these things appear. I recently got my National Birth Certificate from the NPC office in Yenagoa(Bayelsa State) where I used to reside (I am originally from Anambra state). Process was pretty straightforward. I got the court affidavit in less than 30 mins for #200.00. (You can give the typists or whoever some tips to make the process faster). Same day I submitted the application at the NPC office, and was asked to return the following week because some Ogas were not on seat. I dont remember exactly how much I paid for the certificate but with a #500.00 tip, I was able to get it in the next day. I reckon it might be a little bit more difficult in Lagos, but it should not take up to one week, plus you do not need to travel to your place of birth to obtain it. I hope I have answered your questions. Just be careful with people who claim they are agents as you do not need them. All da best. Cheers! |
Not many would argue the fact that Ronaldo was awesome last year. He matured very much as a footballer and from a midfield position became top scorer in the premier league. He's got incredible skills, pace, shot, good with both feet, aerial threat, infact the complete footballer. Messi's been incredible too lately, but Ronaldo won the premier league, champions league and world club cup in the period under review. By this achievement, he has made history by becoming the first British based player to win the award. Congrats to Ronaldo and Manchester United! |
Wether he attends a church or a mosque is not important, as long as Lagosians are the better for it. |
