We shall all experience the pains of the rejection, as lack of funds to execute the budget continues, so long the senate has no money to siphon courtesy of Buhari's anti corruption stance, the senate will continue to frustrate the executive at the detriment of the poor who are now hailing the senate, more sufferings on the way.

It's been a while since the 2016 budget have been signed what is really going on concerning this #500 billion social intervention fund, is this an indication that the ministry of Labour and productive was not prepared for this?
No sign of application, its been absolute silence every where.
Nigerians want to know, it takes one year for successful lists of applicants to surface, its getting to half of the year, will the beneficiaries of the scheme be paid in arrears?

Politics / Benue people Voted Ortom, and we are not regretting. by mashin(m): 4:34pm On May 07, 2016
I have read with displeasure a publication by dailypost, were her correspondent could gain the audience of three PDP sypathizers out of over four million Benue residents and then conclude that Benue residents regret voting the governor, this is not just laughable but an indication of how poor and lazy some journalist can be, i am Benue residents and can confirm that the residents have confidence in the governor, even yesterday our governor was on live phoning programme and 90% of the callers expressed confidence in the governor.
The issue of BSU school fees mention by mr Akor has been resolved and also reduced because our goverbor has listening ears.
Abubakar Tsav who a former Lagos police commisioner was quiet through out the 8 years of PDP mis-rule when salaries were owed for 7 months suddently found a voice in this new dispensation this is also questionable, how can you speak of governance when you spent 35 years in the police without a single recruitment from your ward.
Our governor just like other governors are faced a task of putting things right in the face dwindling oil prices. Without his budget he has enhance the graduation of medical students of BSU who could not graduate for 12 years under PDP, so many road construction on-going, evident below. We are happy with our governor, Benue is for APC, and APC is Benue.

When some one posted that he received salary on the 25th as promised by the president, hence he said Sai Baba, this is the comment that came from wailers ''is it not your right to receive salary as at when due why praise the president'' and i ask wailers why do you have to tell your dad thank you for paying your school fees? Or tell your mum thank you for giving you food? Is it not your right to be paid school fees and giving food? Buhari till 2023, i will still vote him again.

Politics / Youths Are Using New Tricks On Politicians. by mashin(m): 3:44pm On Apr 26, 2016
During 2015 election campaigns, youths in my ward, precisely our polling unit had two flags one for APC one for PDP, when a rich PDP politician is coming we fix the PDP flag, he gives us cash we share, when APC rich politician is coming we fix APC flag, we collect the cash and share, but truely we all belong to APC, and APC won our polling unit, i advice other youths to do same, that money they bring is part of our constituency allowances.
Politics / Bailout Funds Not Diverted In Benue State by mashin(m): 9:29pm On Apr 24, 2016
BAILOUT FUNDS NOT DIVERTED IN BENUE
Our attention has been drawn to the report by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, published in some of today's national dailies regarding the disbursement of the bailout funds given to states by the Federal Government in which the anti-graft agency alleged that part of the funds have been misappropriatedin Benue State.
It said, "In Benue State, the total debt accrued from staff salaries and emoluments amounted to N12, 503, 439, 787. 48. The state received N12, 503, 439, 787.48 as bailout fund and disbursed N10, 852, 536, 702.96 with a balance of N1, 650, 903, 084.52. Analysis of the documents submitted revealed a double payment of N37, 760, 000.00 in favour of the Office of the Deputy Governor. This double payment is presently being investigated, " ICPC stated.
We would not have bothered to respond at this point since ICPC has also admitted that it is still carrying out investigation and will surely arrive at the truth of the matter, but for the sake of other Nigerians and Benue people in particular, it is important that we put the records straight.
It is true that the Benue State Government received the said amount from the Federal Government to clear the backlog of wages of workers of the state and the funds were judiciously appropriated for the purpose they were obtained. The quoted amount of N37, 760, 000.00 is the statutory sum paid monthly to Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi which is owned by the Benue State Government.
What the ICPC describes as "double payment in favour of the office of the Deputy Governor" was actually two months' payment made to the football club through the office of the Deputy Governor as is usually the case over the years. The payment was for the months of March and April, 2015 as part of salaries owed officials and players of the team for which the bailout funds were sourced.
The Benue State Deputy Governor is the Chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club and his office where the bank account for Lobi Stars' funds is domiciled, handles all matters affecting the club including payment of salaries and allowances.
We wish to reiterate that the bailout funds given to Benue State have been transparently handled and the State Government has repeatedly informed the people of the state that the over N1 billion balance after the payment of the backlog of workers' salaries has not been diverted.
We acknowledge the role of the ICPC and other agencies in ensuring accountability in the polity and invite the commission to carryout further investigation to ascertain the veracity of our explanation.
The Ortom administration will continue to uphold transparency as its watchword in providing good governance for the people of Benue State.
