Politics › We Signed To Impeach Jonathan In Anger Apc-rep by maslong(op): 9:18pm On Dec 07, 2014 |
The Chairman, House Committee on Communications, Oyetunde Ojo, has allayed fears over possible impeachment of President Goodluck Jonathan by the National Assembly. Speaking with journalists in Aramoko-Ekiti on Sunday, he said members of the House of Representatives, who recently signed the president’s impeachment notice, did so in anger. Oyetunde, who has emerged a consensus candidate for the Ekiti Central 11 Federal Constituency for the All Progressives Congress, said, “To be honest with you, although we were recalled to the House that day because of the emergency situation in the North-East, we have only sat once since the recess. The impeachment notice was signed in anger by us. “You remember that we were tear-gassed that day, the issue has gone beyond the House only. It now concerns us about the survival of our democracy. “To the best of my knowledge, I do not think there is a serious level of impeachment of the president now, until we resume at the House and hold next session.” Ojo expressed gratitude to the APC members in Ekiti West, Ijero and Efon Local Government Areas, for choosing him as their sole candidate, saying their decision was in recognition of his landmark achievement during the first four years. Moneysage: If people frowned at PETERICHY's political posts but keep mute about religious posts, it's either they are in hibernation mode or they are truly religious (as you suggest).
But strictly speaking, it's not our religiosity that is our bane; it's our failure to transfer the teachings of our religion into National life.
Anyway, who are mine sef...na how to Profit From Prices be my main concern. Have a pleasant month, NSEMPA.

Claims Aregbesola’s inauguration costs N700m PEOPLES Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate in the last Osun State governorship election, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has urged people in the state, especially his supporters not to be despaired by today’s swearing-in of Governor Rauf Aregbesola for a second term in office; just as he assured them that he would triumph at the election tribunal where he had appealed against Aregbesola’s re-election. Senator Omisore in a statement also urged the people of Osun not to be carried away by the event of today, which he described as “pyrrhic, un-sustainable and a celebration of fraud that the tribunal would sooner than later expose.” Omisore stated that today’s event was only being celebrated by “a handful of fun and gluttonous pleasure seekers who would not stop at anything to bleed the state’s treasury to a comatose in order to satisfy their appetite for their owambe jamboree at any time.” Read more @ http://www.theguardianmobile.com/readNewsItem1.php?nid=37051 |

Politics › Re: Which Will Be More Bearable/Tolerable: Buhari's Defeat or Jonathan's Defeat? by maslong(m): 4:24pm On Nov 24, 2014 |
Trailblazer1: What will be the aftermath of the 2015 presidential elections?
After seeing the video of Gov. Shema of katsina state charging his followers to 'CRUSH' and 'KILL' opponents. Comparing it to the aftermath of the 2011 election, where about 800 innocent citizens were slaughtered by some heartless jihadist to appease themselves for Buhari's defeat in the election and a continuous onslaught since then, which has left so much casualties in the north.
MEND are on the other side threatening that nobody will unseat Jonathan.
Considering the precarious security situation of the nation at this point, the only formula for peace in Nigeria will be the Victory of Gen. Buhari.
The defeat of Jonathan will not raise so much dust, but another defeat of Buhari may not be bearable for Nigeria. For the sake of peace, let's vote Buhari.
What do you think will happen if Jonathan wins Buhari again? Which will be more bearable: buhari's defeat or Jonathan's defeat? . |
