Politics / Predictions For 2020 Obaseki Loses Re-election,lawan Gets Impeached As Wike Deca by MassesEyes(f): 2:40pm On Dec 26, 2019
Predictions for 2020 Obaseki loses re-election, Lawan gets Impeached as Wike decamps to APC Amidst Buhari's impeachment scare

As the year comes to an end predictions for the year 2020 has started rolling in. Perhaps this would be the most detailed predictions so far as it is not only explosive but also contains details on how it would come to pass.

So sit back and grab your pen, so while you digest the predictions pen down some points for future reference.

See my 2020 predictions by Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah.

The year 2020 would begin with the resignation of Donald Trump as America's president. This bold decision would shock the world.

January would be a month of mourning for Nigeria as one past head of state would die. The causes of the death or who the particular past leader maybe is still very hazy.

In February the feud between the presidency and Tinubu will deepen and come to the full public glare. There would be a massive clampdown on Tinubu's loyalist with Prof Osinbajo taking sides with the cabal against Tinubu. It is perceived that among-st the successors to Buhari Prof Osinbajo ranks first option on the list.

There was a deliberate effort earlier made to implicate the VP and then pave way for a prosecution which would ultimately lead to his ouster.

Osinbajo this holiday will secure his trust with the cabal and join forces with them. The cabal is gradually realizing that Osibanjo might just be the perfect candidate for the job.

Also, next year would see to the resignation of Goodluck Jonathan from the PDP and then subsequently decamp to the APC.

My fourth prediction is the great crossover from PDP to APC by Goodluck Jonathan.

Jonathan's crossover to the APC would be the biggest event of the first quarter of 2020.

Buhari would celebrate the crossover and personally receive GEJ in an elaborate ceremony at Eagle Square.

The Senate President, Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan would be impeached. Lawan would be the first casualty of the bitter feud between Tinubu's camp and the presidency.

The successor to Lawan is still hazy as many factors would determine his emergence. The Tinubu's camp with a factional camp of the cabal led by Boss Mustapha is fingered as the masterminds of the impeachment against the senate president. Their choice is a key factor in the replacement of the Senate President.

It is alleged that Tinubu and Boss Mustapha's presidency is on the pipeline for

2023.

My sixth prediction is the impeachment threat against Buhari by the new Senate leadership. The new senate leadership in an effort to stamp its authority would serve Buhari an impeachment notice.

This would be the biggest political unrest in the second quarter of the year 2020. Buhari would survive the impeachment plot.

Read Also Buhari is 87 and not 77- Internet user reveals shocking details that get everyone debating
The year 2020 would see to the dethronement of Emir Sanusi.

This decision is long expected as all peace moves in reconciliation with Emir Sanusi and Ganduje the Kano state Governor has proved abortive.

My eight prediction for the year is the loss of Godwin Obaseki in seeking reelection in Edo 2020 elections.

The embattled Governor who would be contesting under the platform of PDP was beaten with a landslide by the APC candidate.

If the defeat would sound like a shocker to your ears then wait till you hear his opponent who would squarely defeat Obaseki in the main elections.

Against all odds and forgotten permutation Engineer, Chris Ogiemwonyi would emerge as the APC candidate.

Oshiomhole would placate Ize-Iyamu and have him step down for Ogiemwonyi.

This brings us to prediction number nine.

Wike dumps PDP for APC.

The Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike would dump the PDP and join the ruling APC. In a bid to position himself for the presidency in 2023 Nyesom Wike would dump the PDP. Wike who currently controls the politics of Rivers State would be a big fish for the ruling party. Wike's entrance would see to the almost total control of south-south by APC. With Edo, Rivers and Bayelsa on the side of APC then a south-south presidency in 2023 is feasible. Especially with a new agitation for the south to complete the remaining tenure of GEJ.

GEJ would also be a major contender for the 2023 presidency.

Wike's decampment would be the icing that would end the year 2020.

The last prediction is the retirement of Atiku. With the looming crisis set to hit PDP in 2020 after the exit of Wike and likely exit of Tambuwwal back to APC, Atiku Abubarkar finally called it quits with politics.

Atiku will make this announcement in a well-attended world press conference.

So now you have heard about my top 10 predictions for 2020 let me hear your views.

The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, on Tuesday, disqualified the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Bayelsa State, Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo.

The court, in a judgement by Justice Inyang Ekwo, invalidated Degi-Eremienyo’s participation in the governorship election scheduled for Saturday, November 16, after it found him guilty of supplying false information to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The judgement followed a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1101/2019 which the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, instituted before the court.

Cited as defendants in the matter were Bayelsa APC governorship candidate, David Lyon, Degi-Eremienyo and INEC.

The court said it was satisfied that the APC deputy governorship candidate gave false information in the form CF0001 he submitted to INEC to contest the election.

It held that all the documents containing his educational qualifications bore different names.

Politics / EDO 2020: Oshiomhole, Obaseki Rift Deepens, Divides APC, by MassesEyes(f): 9:12am On Sep 27, 2019
Benin- City - Ahead of the 2020 governorship election in Edo State, the cold war between Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Godwin Obaseki, Edo State governor, is getting intense as key leaders of the party in the state are divided over the duo.

According to the Group, Any Body, but Godwin Obaseki 2020 findings, though Oshiomhole and Obaseki have always denied the existence of any rift, many leaders of the party in the state at the weekend confirmed that there was now a no-love-lost relationship between Oshiomhole, the two time Edo governor and Obaseki, whom he installed as his successor in the last election.
Sources said though Obaseki waged war against key leaders of the party who served as Oshiomhole’s foot soldiers in 2016 to secure victory for APC, he has recently made a U-turn by wooing them back to his side, a development which has infuriated Oshiomhole, the ex-labour leader.

The cold war between Oshiomhole and Obaseki began shortly after the 2016 governorship election in the state as the governor, upon assumption of office, barred many of Oshiomhole’s foot soldiers from receiving the same privileges they used to enjoy under Oshiomhole’s administration.

Obaseki, who will likely seek a second term, wanted to have his loyalists and members of his political group, especially at the state House of Assembly, who would help him actualise his ambition and consolidate his grip but Oshiomhole was not disposed to that as he also wanted his loyalists in the state Assembly.

This led to the party holding two primary elections in the state after the one conducted by the state executive was cancelled by the national body of the party.

One of our sources, who served as commissioner under Oshiomhole in his second term, said many of the loyalists on Obaseki’s side have been granting interviews recently lambasting Oshiomhole for his “alleged highhandedness and asking him to stop distracting Obaseki from performing his role as the democratically elected governor of the state”.

Speaking with the group media, a loyalist of Oshiomhole, who confirmed the rift, said in recent times, Obaseki has sponsored some of Oshiomhole’s loyalists abroad and also offered contracts to many of them.

“There is no denying the fact that all is not well between the two. While Obaseki is trying to assert his authority and take charge of the affairs of the party, Oshiomhole is using his influence as the party’s national chairman to counter all his moves.

“In recent times, Obaseki has succeeded in wooing some of Oshiomhole’s loyalists to his side. One of them is Chief Charles Idahosa, a former political adviser to Oshiomhole. When Obaseki came in, he waged war against many of these leaders.

“One of them was Idahosa. If you recall, at a time, Idahosa made a public announcement that he is suspending his political activities. It took the intervention of Oshiomhole to make him rescind that decision.

“Now Obaseki has succeeded in wooing Idahosa to his side. He even sponsored him abroad recently, aside other largesse. He (Idahosa) in turn has been speaking ill of Oshiomhole,” he said.

When contacted, Anselm Ojezua, Edo State chairman of APC, said though he was not aware of any crisis between Oshiomhole and Obaseki, some party members in the state were wishing for that in order to benefit from it.

“I am not aware that there is a rift between the governor and the national chairman, but I know that some of our party members may actually wish that to happen so that they can benefit from it,” he said.
The South South Chairman Com Kelly O said its time for the party to forge ahead and leave Obaseki alone to finish is first term and leave.
He further said Edo state has capable hands to take over and leadership and to better the lives of Edo People.

Politics / Roads To Be Urgently Fixed By The Federal Government To Ease Transportation Acro by MassesEyes(f): 7:53am On Sep 26, 2019
The minister of works and housing, Babatunde Fashola, has listed eight roads to be urgently fixed by the federal government to ease transportation across the country.

Fashola, who spoke in his office in Abuja when he met with officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), said the projects include:

1. Suleja-Bida-Lapai-Lambata;

2. Oyo–Ogbomosho-Ilorin;

3. Jebba-Mokwa-Tegina;

4. Benin-Sapele-Warri;

5. Benin-Auchi-Okenne;

6. Enugu-Onitsha;

7. Awka-Amansea and

8. Odukpani-Itu roads.

The minister said the government was already concluding arrangements to get the roads fixed as well as maintain others to ease transportation of petroleum products, a demand the officials of the NNPC had made.

Re-assess over 20-year-old roads - Governor Okowa tells FG
He said while the Suleja-Lambata-Minna road was in a fairly good condition, work was ongoing on the Bida-Lapai-Lambata roads.

A statement by Stephen Kilebi, director of press in the ministry, quoted Fashola as explaining that the Bida–Minna road belongs to Niger state and is in a fairly good condition while the Suleja–Lambata–Minna road belongs to the federal government and being handled under SUKUK funding.

Fashola said his ministry had commenced discussions with the contractors handling the various road projects for the commencement of repair and rehabilitation works once the rains are over.

He further explained that funding has also been a challenge, adding that the Federal Government would endeavour to meet its financial obligations to the contractors handling the various road projects to ensure that they returned to the sites.

Fashola noted that the Oyo-Ogbomosho-Ilorin road is on-going but challenged by the current weather situation and funding while the old alignment of the Oyo-Ogbomosho route is receiving palliative attention.

APC governors adopt uniform policy initiatives to address education, security challenges
Fashola said this at a two-day interactive session with the Francis Uduyok-headed ad-hoc committee on abandoned federal government projects (works) from 1999 till date.
Politics / Pressure Mounts On Osinbajo To Resign..... by MassesEyes(f): 9:31am On Sep 19, 2019
Lagos – There is intense pressure on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to resign his position with immediate effect, Daily Independent has exclusively gathered.

Sources close to the vice president said since the latest developments in the presidency started, he has received calls from his mentors and loyalists within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to quit his position if he realises “the current developments in the presidency are attempts to humiliate him”.

“Since these developments started, a lot of concerned Nigerians have expressed their concern that the vice president should resign in order to avoid further humiliation. I think that is the intention of those behind the plot too. They want to frustrate him into quitting but I don’t think he (Osinbajo) will do that, at least not for now”, a credible source in the presidency said.

Trouble began last month when the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, issued a memo to Babatunde Fowler, chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), requesting him to account for significant variances in the budgeted collections and actual collections by the agency.

Though Fowler, who is a long standing associate of Osinbajo, replied the memo, many believed it was attempt by the presidency not to renew his term.

Also, President Muhammadu Buhari directed his new ministers to channel all requests for meetings with him through his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. Many Nigerians kicked against the move, saying that should have been delegated to Osinbajo, who is the number two man in the government.

On Monday, President Buhari dissolved the Economic Management Team (EMT) headed by Osinbajo and raised another, the Economic Advisory Council (EAC).

The new EAC, which reports directly to the president, will be chaired by an economist, Prof. Doyin Salami.

While Osinbajo has no role in the new economic team, it was also gathered that he may no longer be in charge of the Social Investment Programmes (SIPs) of the current administration, as the TraderMoni and other SIPs will now be handled by the new Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.

Another presidency source also confirmed that the staff of the vice president will be reduced in the days ahead “in a cost cutting measure”.

A lot of political analysts have said the latest move is targeted at whittling Osinbajo’s powers ahead of the 2023 presidential election as the cabal in the presidency is scheming towards retaining power in the North after President Buhari may have completed his eight years rule.

However, the presidency has kept mum on the issue and efforts made to speak with media aides of the president and some leaders of the APC proved abortive as they declined to speak on the matter.

Speaking on the latest developments, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), said the setting up of the Economic Advisory team will not in any way reduce Osinbajo’s powers.

“Honestly, I don’t see the development in that light. There should be an independent Economic Management team who are economic advisers to the president, it has always been like that. What Osinbajo is doing, his job under the constitution, is chairman of National Economic Council which involves all the governors of the states.

“This new one that was established is to ensure that there is no lacuna. This one is a policy-framing body, they frame policy and recommend to the government. I think that will not affect Osinbajo’s day-to-day responsibilities as head of the Nigerian Economic Council which has a lot of work on implementing policies at the federal and state level.

“My view is that this new group will strengthen Nigeria’s economic power house and capacity to meet our national challenges. It does not remove anything from Osinbajo. He still retains all his constitutional authorities as the chairman of his economic body”, Sagay said.

On his part, Junaid Mohammed, a Second Republic lawmaker, said while there is no rift between Osinbajo and Buhari, loyalists of the vice president should desist from raising false alarm where there is none.

“Osinbajo has performed for the country and for Buhari because of the president’s physical infirmity since he became president. Osinbajo could not have carried out those roles without the permission and authority of the president, his boss. If there is anything wrong in the course of doing his job, it is the responsibility of the president and not the media to call him to order.

“If the two most important people in the country have a problem between themselves which I don’t believe they have, it is the duty of the party to resolve any issues they have. But of course, I am aware that some people who claim to be close to Osinbajo are busy raising false alarm which does not exists,” he said.
Politics / Oshiomhole Adams unveil the truth On Obaseki Godwin & He's Evil Assembly by MassesEyes(f): 8:21am On Sep 18, 2019
Oshiomhole speaks on difference with Night Inauguration

I heard people talk about Oshiomhole’s faction and Godwin’s faction. The truth is that I don’t have any faction. We founded the party from ACN, to APC. It hurts when people can’t make a distinction between policy positions and unhealthy debate about options in dealing with specific issues.

Let me start with the issue of the inauguration of the Edo State House of Assembly. I was governor when PDP had 16 members and we, while in ACN then, had eight members. But we had to learn how to live with the reality that the parliament was in the hands of opposition, so all we needed to do was to cultivate ways and means of playing up what united us as a people and getting the opposition to recognize that we were all elected even from different political parties for a purpose, namely the sustainable development of Edo state. And we managed that until the people favored us with majority. Right now in Edo, we are obviously far more fortunate that all the 24 members of the House belong to APC. So, no matter the differences about preferred Speaker, I don’t think this was enough for us to breach all the rules, regulations, customs and traditions that were well entrenched as regards the simple straight forward matter of proclaiming a House of Assembly. When I see Nigerians taking side on it, I just pity people who can’t make a difference between your personal affection or love for someone and dealing with issues of principles and law.

Now, I remain convinced that it is not in the interest of our democracy for nine members of an elected parliament to seek to secretly inaugurate a House at 9:30pm, which I understand the Supreme Court in another judgment has described as nocturnal hours, so that a particular person can emerge as a Speaker and in the process you exclude 15 members elect.

Nine persons cannot elect the Speaker or Deputy Speaker on behalf of 24 members. Number two, it is also the tradition and the law that when you are elected by your various constituencies, the day of your inauguration is not a state secret to be shared by those who are favored. The proclamation must be published stating time and date. If there is any Nigerian who has followed inaugurations in the 36 states and the FCT, it is a settled fact that proclamation letter must be communicated by the clerk to all the members-elect so that they can go there that day with their families and loved ones.

Now to try and do that at 9:30pm, even if it was done by my biological son, God will give me the courage to tell my son that this institution is governed by law. Parliament is an autonomous arm of government, delete it and there will be no democracy. So, we pointed out what I thought would be obvious to every Nigerian that first, four members out of the nine, who are already in the minority, have said they were invited for an informal conversation with the deputy governor, from where they were bundled into a waiting vehicle and were driven to the House of Assembly.

They were then forced to take oath of office against their wish. One of them was wearing a short. These are facts, the people have spoken, they are still alive, they are still protesting. Then somebody said that because I am the National chairman of the party, I ought to turn the other way. If it is wrong in Bauchi to have secret inauguration, how can it be accommodated in Edo state. For me, these are the issues. And it is shameful that in this case, all the 24 are APC members. As a former governor who had the privilege of presiding over Edo state for eight years, I will tell you that there is little or nothing the executive can do in the final analysis. I was there at Government House Benin, not too far away from Anthony Enahoro’s building, the seat of the parliament when I heard that the parliament met and decided to change their leadership, and there was nothing I could do about it. It was their privilege to do. So, the issue is not between me and the governor; anybody who suggests that is just being mischievous.

It is about what is right and what is wrong
Chairman of Anybody but Godwin Obaseki 2020 Com Kelly said the Governor of Edo state has done more harm to the party since he's inception to the position.

Politics / Zamfara Governor Sacks Emir And The Village Head...... by MassesEyes(f): 9:38pm On Aug 11, 2019
Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara State has approved the removal of the Emir of Maru, Alhaji Abubakar Cika and the district head of Kanoma Alhaji Lawal Ahmad.

In a statement signed by the state Deputy governor, Barrister Mahdi Aliyu Gusau, governor Mutawalle approved, on Friday, the deposition of the Emir and the district head with immediate effect.

The duo were suspended last June following protests by their subjects amid allegations of connivance with armed bandits and cattle rustlers in the state.

Consequently, a high powered committee, headed by the former Inspector general of Police MD Abubakar, was constituted to investigate their involvement in armed banditry and cattle rustling.

The committee, after discreet investigation, found them wanting and finally recommended the removal of the emir and the district head.

The affected district head is also under Maru emirate council.
Politics / Apc Crisis: Pres. Buhari Hands Down Marching Orders To Oshiomhole, Nwc. by MassesEyes(f): 7:54pm On Aug 07, 2019
....charges NWC to resolve crisis within the party or resign.

Apparently dissatisfied with the preponderance of crisis across the various state chapters of the ruling party, the President of Nigeria and the National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari has handed down a 21 days ultimatum to the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to resolve all lingering issues across all the chapters of the party in the country or tender their resignation.

This according to reliable sources within the presidency was the reason why an impromptu meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party was summoned for 12 noon today at the National Secretariat of the party.

It was gathered that the President was no longer comfortable with the numerous crisis within the party especially with the legislative logjam in Edo State and the forthcoming elections in Kogi State and other intra party issues which is threatening to tear the internal fabrics of the party across the country.

In a private conversation with some leaders of the party including Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El Rufai some days ago, the President was said to have expressed worries over the way the party is being run and the way the NWC has been handling issues within the party and expressed his frustrations that instead of the National leadership of the party under the stewardship of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to suggest and recommend people oriented policies and programmes in line with the next level agenda of his administration, it has instead chosen to be embroiled in one form of crisis to another and shared the same sentiment as Senator Rochas Okorocha who described the crisis bedeviling the party as a by product of leadership failure on the part of the party national chairman and his NWC.

He also stated that the prevailing crisis in Oshiomhole's home state Edo, must be nipped in the bud as he can't afford to lose the only APC controlled state in the South South geo political zone to the opposition as well as Kogi state which is gearing up for its governorship election in November.

It was however resolved that an emergency meeting of the party leadership and the National Working Committee of the party be convened to issue a stern warning to the National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and members of the NWC to sit up or be booted out as the party seems to be derailing from its core principles due to various clandestine and overt personal interests which could cause a serious implosion within the party if not properly addressed.

As at press time, the meeting was still ongoing at the National secretariat of the party.

Lagos – Chief Ayiri Emami, the Ologbotsere (traditional Prime Minister) of Warri Kingdom on Friday urged elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark to stop interfering in the politics of Edo State saying he is shocked by the comments he made on the political crisis rocking the state.

It will be recalled that Clark had faulted the ultimatum the two chambers of the National Assembly to the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, to issue a fresh proclamation on the inauguration of the state House of Assembly or risk a take over of the Assembly.

He said the directive from the federal lawmakers was unconstitutional.

However speaking with journalists on Friday evening, Ayiri, who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) described Clark’s statement as unfortunate.

Accusing the former Minister of Information of taking sides, Ayiri said Clark should have advised Obaseki to comply with the laws of the land rather than encouraging him to continue his illegality on the inauguration of the Edo State House of Assembly.

” When I read what Chief Clark said, I felt very disappointed because he is an elder statesman and he should know the laws more than many of us”.

” In 2015 I recall that Chief Clark never supported Governor Obaseki so if Obaseki is trying to be very ungrateful to people that brought him to power, I think as a father, Chief Clark should have advised him better, not to cause chaos in Edo state because Edo and Delta are still the same”.

“I expected him to call Obaseki and advise him as a father but he did not do that, rather he took side immediately. Let me tell you, there is nothing about Edo state that we don’t know, the National Assembly has it as a duty to intervene in any state Assembly that has crisis”.

” So, for anybody to fault that move is unfortunate and that Is why I am shocked with the comment made by Chief EK Clark”.

“All of us knew how Obaseki became governor of Edo state, he was never a politician. It was Oshiomhole who made him governor against all odds. Oshiomhole offended many people loyal to him just because he wanted to make Obaseki governor”.

“So it is unfortunate that today, the governor sees himself as a thin god, exhibiting so much disrespect for the man that made him governor. That is ingratitude of the highest order and it is not good for him as a governor”.

“Even comedians are now using Obaseki to crack jokes, he has become a laughing stock in the eyes of the public and that is not good”.

“There is an adage in Itsekiri which says you must remember the good of yesterday. Whatever Obaseki is doing he must sleep and reflect the good time he had with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. A couple of times I had an opportunity to sit with Comrade and he kept telling me that ‘Ayiri, you know how I laboured to bring Obaseki so I cannot support pulling that house down’. So I don’t see Comrade fighting Obaseki but Obaseki is juts fighting himself”.

“It is unfortunate that the governor has allowed some politicians take advantage of this crisis so as to make money from him. They are hailing him and before he will realise what he is doing he is already in a big mess. So Chief EK Clark should concentrate on Delta state where he caused so much problem for people and leave Edo alone because he does not know how Obaseki became governor” he said.
In addition the chairman of Any Body,But Gidwinobaseki 2020 said he believe so much on the national chairman, and the government of Edo state should respect the laws of the land.
Chairman also said he will be dropping the profile of those already adopted in their last meeting for the position of the Governorship.he thanks president buhari for he's diligent in making sure APC get stronger every day.
Politics / EDO 2020..Address Me Directly, Oshiomhole Replies Oyegun.as Oshoomole speaks hot by MassesEyes(f): 12:03pm On Jul 24, 2019
......in Benin city
National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, responding to the latest ‘war of words’ between him and former party chairman Chief John Oyegun, said that though he does not want to join issues with his predecessor, he would have preferred him to address him directly.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Simon Ebegbulem, the party leader said: “I have no comment. Chief Oyegun is a respected leader of the party and an elder statesman.”

“Comrade Oshiomhole has so much respect for him. If he really want to address Oshiomhole he can come out openly to address the man who succeeded him in office and not one Morphy,” the statement read.
The south south chairman of Anybody but, Obaseki Group led by Comrade Kelly said Oyegun those not even right to speak out, that he Oyegunj was a big mistake to Edo people, that Oyegun was just a chairman without influence, that he was weak to the extent he lost his polling unit to PST Ize Iyamu' wife, and he admonished Oyegun to stop talking, when men like Oshiomolie is talking.
He advice's the national chairman to look inward and pick a more credible candidates from those who contested before.
E.g

Dr Prof Ebegue F.Amadasun, who was the former Chairman Hospital Management Board, who elevated the hospital to a very high level.
He is one of those who worked hard for Gov Adams government.

Hon.Egberanmwen Odubu, who is the former deputy Governor also is one of the individual who believe can able to move Edo state to the next level.

And many others who contested in the last primaries of the party.

We believe so much in the national Chairman of the party and with the right decision Edo will move forward
Politics / Bbnaija 2019: Islamic Group, MURIC Calls For Cancellation Of Promiscuous Show by MassesEyes(f): 8:47pm On Jul 12, 2019
The Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, has attacked the government of President Muhammadu Buhari for allowing the Big Brother Naija reality TV show go on. The Islamic group labeled the show being aired on national television as ‘immoral, dangerous and Bohemian.’

BB Naija, is currently making waves in Nigeria featuring some romantic scenes among the housemates.

According to the statement released through Daily Post by Professor Ishaq Akintola on Friday, the show drags everyone into a world of nudity, shamelessness and open promiscuity.

The statement added, “We are being forcibly dragged to a world of nudity, shamelessness and open promiscuity. Inmates of BBNaija kiss, romance and engage in sex openly. BBNaija is Bohemian, anti-social, crude and immoral. It constitutes a potent danger to every home. BBNaija is Satanic. It is unacceptable.

“Where are our norms and values? Is it part of African culture to engage in sex in the open? Where are the authorities? Is the Ministry of Information and Culture sleeping? Is the National Orientation Agency on sabbatical? Who will protect our children from this despicable onslaught? Who did this to Nigeria?

“This reality show is dragging our children into a life of moral debauchery. It is robbing them of the last vestiges of honour. It is deleting the word ‘shame’ from their vocabulary. BB Naija has alienated our youth from the elders. A yawning lacuna now exists between the young and the old. Irreversible social crisis looms.

“We must see those who woo our young ones with humongous amounts of money, big cars, and palatial buildings as those bent on destroying the industry, diligence and integrity, particularly among the youth. Nothing destroys a nation faster than materialism. The daughters of Jezebel are here already. Unless the authorities move with the speed of lightning, human dignity in Nigeria is going, going, going!

“Or do we not realize that for every single BB Naija inmate who wins a big amount of money and a car, more than 50 million young people are misled? Qur’an 30:41 says, ‘Evil has appeared on both land and sea as a result of the handiworks of men…’ The Bible in Ephesians 4:19 was also describing these people when it says, ‘Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.’

“Already, the desperate quest for wealth, by all means, has gripped Nigerian youth like hay fever. It has railroaded them into Yahoo Yahoo, ritual killings and a museum mentality for the collection of female panties. Where exactly are we going?

“This development calls for serious concern and we are deeply concerned because we are the Muslim Rights Concern. Our hearts bleed in MURIC. This is the kind of evil that Muslim and Christian leaders should unite to fight with all their strength instead of dissipating their energy on a phantom Islamisation, a mirage called Fulanisation, Maradonic religiousity and gymnastic spirituality.

“We can put an end to this anomaly called BB Naija if Christians and Muslims bury the hatchet and come together to fight evil. Home is home. Moral debauchery knows no religion. The destructive influence of television shows like BB Naija penetrates both Christian and Muslim homes.

“Ditto for the custodians of our culture and tradition. Our traditional rulers ignore a program like this which has all the potentials to diminish the dignity of our culture. They are fighting over who should be chairman of the Council of traditional rulers. They want to be the King of kings and rivals of the Supreme Creator. Who placed a curse on Nigeria?

“Homo sapiens may not respect a single snake when they see one. But can anyone wait to see what follows if the cobra leads and it is faithfully followed by the python, the black mamba, rattlesnake, garter snake, and the anaconda? So what do you think will happen if our traditional rulers from the East, West and North march on Aso Rock to demand the immediate halt of this horrible show?

“To cap the edifice, MURIC calls for an immediate and total ban on this satanic television show. We charge the Ministry of Information and Culture to move swiftly against BB Naija before moral debauchery becomes Nigeria’s middle name. Nigerian youth must be protected from themselves and the time to do so is now. We invite the National Assembly to intervene immediately and we appeal to traditional rulers to add their voices to this campaign.”

The show which kickstarted its fourth edition in Lagos, Nigeria.

Politics / Edo 2020..Gov.obaseki Promise To Deal With House Of Reps Committee at the Rally by MassesEyes(f): 6:04pm On Jul 12, 2019
The crisis in Edo state is getting worst as the day goes by, ......the problem of edo house of Assembly is between Obaseki Vs Nigerian Constitution* kindly leave Oshiomole out of it.

Is it Oshiomole that has caused Obaseki to circumvent the good intentions of the Constitution?

The proclamation of the State assembly is a *Constitutional requirement* and therefore a *Public document* that must be given *wide and general* dispersal. It is not a personal consideration of Obaseki & his acolytes to turn a public event into a secret & shameful ceremony.

Therefore be advised that this is *Obaseki Vs Nigerian Constitution* until he is prevailed upon to do the right & honorable thing.
At a rally to waste the tax payers money, the governor when giving hes speech said those who think there can control Edo state from Abuja is joking and that the so called national assembly committee set up to investigate the Edo state house of assembly crisis will be dealt with if there come to Benin city.
The chairman Anybody, But Godwin Obaseki 2020 Edo south Com.Kelly Osama said he is disappointed with the Gov.Obaseki led administration, that he keeps drawing the state backward with he's fake agenda instead of focusing on the development strides of the past administration.
He also said the Governor is fighting those who sacrificed all to make him a Governor.
He said Com.Adams Oshiomole had to dropped distinguished and capable hands like Odubu, Dr Ebegue Amadasun, Ogiewonyi, and others to support him and now is fighting him and insulting him.he said Gov Obaseki who promised Edo people 200,jobs should come out and tell Edo people who he has employed, that even the roads he claim he is doing where all scam, that Edo people experience hell this raining season as erosion took over all the major roads in town.
He further encourage the national chairman of the party not to relent in bringing Edo state glory back by getting the right person to take Edo to the next level.
The group chairman said the the national chairman should look at those people who worked with him closely and did very well in their various duties like he's deputy Hon.Egberanwen Odubu, Dr Prof Ebegue Amadasun who was the chairman of Edo state hospital management board, whose tenure brought a new leaf to the hospital management in Edo state.he also suggest that Gen Charles is another born that the national chairman should also look at to lead Edo state.

He appeal to the NEC of the party to so the needful so as APC will still remain in power in Edo state that every Edo born is gradually getting fed up with the scam Edo state governor Obaseki.
Politics / Itse Sagay To Ahmad Lawan, "Senators’ Monthly Pay Is N15m" by MassesEyes(f): 4:16am On Jun 27, 2019
Lawan lied, Senator’s monthly take home pay is N15m – Sagay

*Sagay faults Lawan, says senators earn N15m monthly

The Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), has asked the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, to stop misleading Nigerians, adding that senators earned N15m monthly and not N750,000 as claimed by Lawan.

Lawan had on Tuesday said there was no such thing as “jumbo pay,” adding that he earns N750,000 as salary.

Speaking with our correspondent on Wednesday, however, Sagay said Nigerians were more interested in how much senators take home monthly in salaries and allowances.

He said Lawan was only speaking half-truth because everyone knew that the bulk of the money earned by senators was embedded in their allowances.

Sagay said, “I respect and like him (Lawan), but what he has done is to give half-truth. He is telling us the actual salary without mentioning anything about the allowances.

“That is where the jumbo pay comes in, when you talk of building, furniture, domestic this or that, 15 items and those items alone bring everything up to N13.5m a month. So, simply mentioning the bare salary, which brings it to over N14m, is not sufficient.

“So, technically, he is right. That is their salary. But what is his income, take-home pay, at the end of the month? It is about N15m and we are not including many other things we need talk about now.”

Sagay said presiding officers of the National Assembly earned more than ordinary members.

The PACAC chairman, who was the first to expose the jumbo pay of federal lawmakers, said he was still trying to ascertain the allowances of principal officers.

He said, “What I have not been able to do is give details of what the leadership earns. There is the leadership aspect that I hadn’t revealed – the excess that the Senate President and Deputy Senate President, leader of the house; the same thing applying to the House (of Representatives).

“What they get – the current ones – that I have not been able to release. I had the details of the previous house. They were mindboggling; we are talking of one person getting up to N280m a year in allowances for his position. But I don’t know what they had during the Saraki era or what the present group is going to do.”

Politics / Edo 2020 More Revelations On G.obaseki Fraudulent Acts by MassesEyes(f): 8:29am On Jun 08, 2019
Exposed! Godwin Obaseki in Multi-Billion Dollar Modular Refinery Fraud & Abuse of Office: (Chronic debtor and international fraudster Mike Osime fingered in Deal) - Efosa igbinovia

These are not the best of times for the great people of Edo State as their governor, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki is embroiled in another fraud of monumental proportion.

According to reliable sources quoted last week, Governor Obaseki entered a fraudulent deal with his good friend Mike Osime- chairman of ICMG Securities (and one of Nigeria greatest corporate fraudster), who brought the idea of a 5,000bpd modular refinery to be located in Ikpoba Okha local government area to Obaseki.

Mike Osime presented a series of fake investors under the name of “Peiyang Chemical Company” and “Sinopec Oil”. After much media parade, the MOU governor in his usual nature, enter another MOU to build the refinery that was meant to contribute to the phantom 200,000 jobs promise.

This MOU came after no less than 5 travels, which the state governor spent tax payer money to sponsor no fewer than 15 people (including the entire family of Mike Osime) to China for state visits each time.

Immediately after this MOU and despite several warnings from his commissioners and advisers (especially EDSOGPADEC, Joseph Ughioke, Commissioner for Minerals and Agric Special Adviser, Joe Okogie who warned the governor against using public funds for a private business), Obaseki is said to have ignore this warnings and ordered two transfers to be made immediately.

The first amount in the sum of 480 million Naira was transferred via state voucher in 2018, while another some of 590 million was transferred a few weeks later. So far, more than 1.2 billion naira has be given to Mike Osime, with no single evidence of any refinery or any work anywhere in Edo State.

Diverting state funds for a private refinery project owned by his friend, serial debtor and fraudster Mike Osime have connived with the Governor to raise more fund from state treasury for this illusion of a refinery. This is the same Mike Osime who was owing banks trillions of Naira as one of Nigeria’s biggest debtors suddenly got a new lease of life from his friend and counterpart- Governor Godwin Obaseki (who owns 45% of the refinery).

Up to today, no single grass has been cut on the land not to talk of any activity for building the refinery. In fact, there is no single proposal, no company profile of the company and yet more than 1 billion in the state that is poor has been given to his friend. The government have swept the matter under the carpet and the people of Edo who’s tax was taken to commit this fraud are still suffering but not smiling any more.

The posturing of anti-corrpution by Godwin Obaseki has descended to the theatre of the absurd with the brazen impunity displayed by this governor without recourse to anyone or institution of goverment.

On April 17, 2017, EFCC officials armed with information invited the governors aids for questioning and many pleaded ignorance. An unimpeachable source hinted that the EFCC is only waiting for Godwin Obaseki tenure to end next year in 2020 to pick him up for questioning.

It is a tragic incident when custodian of the people’s trust abuse it with wanton disregard for the poor and suffering masses.

We hereby call on Mr. President, President Muhammadu Buhari who claims to be a staunch supporter of anti-corruption to ensure the full investigation of this matter so that all corrupt persons no matter how highly placed are made to face the law. Only when this is done will it serve as a warning and deterrent to other people.
The Group Anybody, But Godwin Obaseki also call on the dynamic chairman of the party Com. Adams Oshiomole not to be moved by the G.Obaseki led sponsored impeachment on him using his deputy's as key man yo fight him out, that who God has blessed no man can cause.
The group also appeal to the Party leader that ahead of the state government Election the party should choose amongst experience men and women the party has produced e.g

Rt Hon. Odubu who is the former deputy Governor of the state.who also contested a former house of reps, who has also indicated interest to contest against the failed Godwin Obaseki Administration.

Chris Ogiewonyi who was once managers in both the downstream sectors of NNPC and also a former contestant.who several forums said he will still contest again, because he believes the dreams he has for every Edo state citizens must come to reality.

Dr Prof F.Ebegue Amadasun who is one of the foremost and distinguished medical consultant in Edo state,he was also the former chairman Edo state Hospital Management Board, who in his tenure the prestigious new blocks was added to the central hospital, he was also a contestant before, but not yet indicated strong interest if he will be running again.but the group believe he is one dynamic astute leader who can pilot the affairs of the state and give Edo people hope for a better tomorrow.

Gen.Charles Ariavberie one of the finest Edo state born military man,who has distinguished himself in his spheres of influence is also in the race, he believe he has a mandate to fulfil to edo people hence he is going to contest again.

Hon.Samson Momorin he is one of the new men in the race,he is the coordinator the masses eyes. He has been in the fore front challenging this government on their various promises to Edo people which the government has failed to fulfil.
He made his intention known in a media broadcast early this year that he will be contesting for the seat of the number 1 citizen of the state to bring the desired change Edo people want.

Hon Saturday Uwelikwe he is a new man to the game,he is the former Nddc commissioner of Edo state. He believe that the government of the day has failed his people, that the promises made during election after 3 and half years none have materilized
He made his intention known to the party after a meeting with the local government exco of the party and encourage them to tell those who is not hear
That everyone must put hands on deck to support him in this bid.

The group believes with these great men the mantle of leadership should not be difficult to change and that the arrogance display by G.Obaseki, suiabu, ogie and others is enough,
That if the national party wants to retain this state as APC then Obaseki must go.

*Protesters storm Edo Assembly over Eletricity Theft Bill, pelts Speaker's image with tomatoes*

... Chris Okaeben distances self from the Bill, says it didn't follow due process
.......As group call on Com.Adams Oshiomolie and APC National Excos not to support Godwin Obaseki 2nd term bid.

Angry protesters were at the Edo state Assembly complex in Benin, today, Thursday, to demonstrate their rejection of a bill passed by the Assembly on Electricity Theft.

The protesters, who accused the Speaker and the Majority Leader, Hon Roland Asoro of collusion and a grand conspiracy to keep the state in darkness, pelted the Speaker's image with tomatoes, oranges, waste and other reductive things to show their disgust at his leadership and conduct.

The Bill for a law to provide for Electricity theft and other related offences, as shown in the picture attached, was sponsored by Hon. Roland Asoro, the Majority Leader of the House.

Our sources say the Bill was introduced by Roland Asoro with support from the Governor, Godwin Obaseki, who is trying to secure a re-emergence for Roland as the Majority Leader in the next Assembly, against the wishes of the party leaders of his Senatorial District.

The Bill would have been immediately given assent by Godwin Obaseki since it managed to scale the legislative process. However, seeing the negative reaction of the public, and in a bid to avoid compounding his already gigantic woes, Godwin Obaseki has denied links to the Bill and has directed the protection of Roland Asoro who doubles as his informant and puppet.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the House Committee on Power and Electricity, Chris Okaeben, has described the legislative process applied to the Bill as unprocedural. He says no public hearing was held, and this denied all interest groups and stakeholders involved a chance to make inputs and ensure it covers their interests.

Chris Okaeben also said, despite his position as Chairman of House Committee on Power and Electricity, and the Bill falling within his purview, he was never consulted by either the Speaker, Kabiru Adjoto, or Roland Asoro who sponsored the Bill. This, according to him, is part of the reasons they are facing serious problems as he would have advised appropriately if consulted.

It should be noted that Chris Okaeben has been unable to represent his people in the Assembly for over a month following threats to life by those empowered and motivated by the Governor's unconstitutional desire to evict him from the House.

The public anger the Bill generated has turned it into an orphan as its chief sponsor, Roland Asoro who acted under the instruction of Godwin Obaseki, is denying involvement.
Another group who was among the protester's AnyBody,But Godwin Obaseki 2020 said that this is sign that Edo people will suffer if this government get a 2nd term.
He also said its time for Edo people to wake up and fight for their rights that funke can not hold everyone ransom even if the Governor is with her.

Edo: Oshiomhole’s ally leaves Obaseki government*

Former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly and Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council of Tayo Akpata University of Education, Thomas Okosun, has exited Governor Godwin Obaseki-led government.

His resignation as chairman of the council was contained in a letter to governor.

The letter by Okosun, an ally of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, is regarded as political amid the rumored no lost love between the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Obaseki.

Okosun lamented alleged neglect of the university, which was set up by the former administration of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

He explained that his decision was to enable him focus on other “very important personal matters for now as the university, unfortunately, has not taken off as earlier envisaged”.

“Let me use this opportunity to thank Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who offered me the appointment and your humble self for allowing me to continue in office since you assumed office on November 12, 2016.”

Oshiomhole had upgraded the then College of Education to a university.

But the institution has not commenced activities since Obaseki became governor. And it shows that the battle is going to be though

Politics / Update On Presidential Tribunal:13 Pos Testify Against Inec And Apc, by MassesEyes(f): 1:41am On Apr 24, 2019
VICTORY IS CLOSER!

13 Presiding Officers (POs) in Borno and Yobe states have told the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja that they transmitted the results of the February 23 Presidential election in their various units and wards to the official server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The POs in their respective Witness Statement of Oath in support of the petition filed by the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), HE Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, challenging the election of President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC), stated that the election body had, during their training, instructed them on how to transmit the results to its server.

The submission of the POs was to lay credence to the petition of Atiku and PDP, wherein they alleged that the INEC pulled down the official results from its server and consequently replaced it with a doctored one to favour President Buhari. The position of the POs, however, contradicted the submission of INEC who had stated in its reply to the petition that results were not sent to its server.

According to one of the POs, “I was employed as an ad hoc staff and trained for three days by the 1st Respondent at the Government College, Maiduguri, Borno State to serve as a Presiding Officer (PO) at Waliri Polling Unit with Code 003, of Shehun Barna Ward, Borno State on the 23rd February, 2019 Presidential and National Assembly (Senate and House of Representatives) elections. ”

The training covered duties of all 1st Respondent’s ad-hoc staff at the polling units and the procedure for the conduct of election which includes accreditation, verification, authentication, collation and transmission of results as well as the use of Smart Card Reader (SCR), amongst others. “At the 1st Respondent training, we were specifically instructed that the use of the Smart Card Reader for accreditation, verification, authentication, collation and transmission of results is mandatory and that any election conducted without the use of the Smart Card Reader would be invalid.

“I took part in the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly (Senate and House of Representatives) elections of 23rd February, 2019 where I served as the Presiding Officer (PO) and I ensured the use of the Smart Card Reader for accreditation, verification, authentication, collation and transmission of votes in my polling unit. “At the end of voting, the information on the Smart Card Reader with the results inclusive, were collated by me in the presence of the party agents and other ad-hoc staff of the 1st Respondent after which my Assistant Presiding Officer (AP0-1) transmitted the result electronically in my presence to the 1st Respondent’s server, using the Smart Card Reader (SCR) and the code provided by the 1st Respondent.”

Furthermore, in the witness statements of the Presiding Officer of Daza Primary School Code 001,Daze Marte Ward of Borno State, who was coded as BU; the Presiding Officer of Mustapha Ali Bama, Code 036, Mafoni MCC Ward, who was coded IM; the Presiding Officer of Binkalion Code 003, Maisandari Damaturu ward Yobe, coded as AB and APO of Kafan Sarki Code 007, Yabir-Gujba of Yobe state, coded as AW; they all admitted that the results of the Presidential election were transmitted electronically to INEC’s server.

Politics / Buhari And Many Others Are Not Nigerian.... Sen.musa by MassesEyes(f): 8:53pm On Apr 22, 2019
Was Sani Abacha a Nigerian?
Answer: No. ABACHA WAS A SCHWA ARAB FROM CHAD. His wife is from Yemen.

Was Late Emir Ado Bayero a Nigerian? Answer: No. The late Emir's ancestors migrated to Kano from Sierra Leone, some of his cousins are Cameroonians today.

Was Late President Yar'adua a Nigerian? Answer is NO. The Yar'adua got their name from the Emir of Katsina of the grandfather's time who invited his marabout and Mallami from Maradi in Niger Republic to Katsina and jocularly called him YAR (child of) ADUA (prayer) in Hausa. This explains why the Yar'adua Quarters in Katsina the capital of Katsina State is a parcel of land behind the Emir of Katsina of the time gave him to build a house behind the Emir's Palace and the family enlarged. Anyone who knows Katsina town very well will confirm this. Same family produced Shehu Musa Yar'adua the late Deputy Head of State of the military era and of late the President Umar Yar'adua.

Now coming back home in Nigeria: was Abibatu.
Is Asiwaju AjiBola Ahmed Tinubu a Lagosian?
Answer: No. Tinubu was raised by Abibatu even a nickname was given to him as one of the popular boys Late Mama Abibatu Mogaji gave young Tinubu while she raised him as a foster Mom. The man AJIBOLA is from Iragbiji in Osun State.

Is Minister Babatunde Raji Fashola a Lagosian? Answer: No. The Fasholas hail from Ilesha in Osun State.

Is Governor Ambode a Lagosian? No. The Ambodes are from Ikale/ Okiti Pupa in Ondo State waterside.

We can count on and on.

So if APC is so petty as to be making such trivial response as to whether AAA is a Nigerian thereby trivialising this issue of election rigging and MANDATE THEFT then they should better start getting serious about the tribunal process.

Also President BUHARI has to prove his half paternity of being a Nigerien from Niger Republic by explaining how a Refinery licence issued by FRN in Abuja to the Presi Mouhamoudu of Niger Republic duly signed by BUHARI ended up in Mashi, near Daura in Katsina State the President's home town.

Politics / Edo 2020.. Godwin Obaseki May Not Get 2nd Term...comr.adams Oshiomole by MassesEyes(f): 6:46pm On Apr 13, 2019
Gov. Godwin Obaseki Seeks other Options as Efforts to Secure former Governor's and The Current National Chairman of the party Support for his 2nd tenure Fails...

It becoming more obvious that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the formar Governor of Edo state Com.Adams Aliu Oshiomole will not change his mind on his decision not to support Governor Godwin Obaseki second term of office ambition, the embattled governor is w

Looking at other options and believe will soon make his next move public,

Although Com.Adams Oshiomole has not spoken publicly about his reported opposition to Obaseki’s ambition, but the group known as Anybody,But Obaseki 2020 gathered that the distinguished national chairman is already penny names down of those who will likely take over from the Governor.

Its not also a news that among the current excos of this present government are also negotiating seriously for the Number one seat.many who have secretly launched their intention to take over Obaseki's job are

1. Hon Osarodion Ogie.. He is the current state sec to the present government and he was one of the major contestants in 2015 is still nurturing the ambition seriously.and it shows on his involvement in various union and youth elections in the state.e.g NUJ,NYCN EDO STATE, and many others.

2, Another new And likely contestant is the present Commissioner of Art and Culture

Hon Ero, he is a young and vibrant man who believes he has been able to change the phase of the state internationally and he is capable of leading the state to the next level.

3, Osaro Idah who is one of the major current exco of the state party is also weighing his weight to see how he can be featured among those who will pilot the state affairs.

4, General Charles the formal military man who have onces contested under opposition party Have also contested under the platform of APC In 2015 is also making serious move to replace the current Governor, and he seems to also have higher chance to get the ticket

5, Dr.Prof Ebegue Amadasun is professor of Medicine university of Benin who was also a contestant may also likely to pull a string but we believe he has been quiet for some time and has far gone back to class room may just decide to face his job only time will tell.

Others who is fully on ground and still negotiating seriously are Hon.Ogiewonwon,Dr Pius Odubu,Barr.Idahagbon, and others.

But must of the Governor's aides kept hope alive that a lot of discussions were still ongoing.

The options, according to his close aides, who spoke out during the week on condition of anonymity, are, stepping down or moving to another party. because without Com.Adams’s support, he has no other structure with which to fight; join another party as proposed by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

In the event that Com.Adams remains adamant and withholds support, aides said, the most viable option for Obaseki is to step down and go home.because he did not prepare for the prevailing circumstances,” said an aide, “therefore, he does not have alternative plan to respond to his dilemma.”

Brought in from political obscurity by Com.Adams Oshiomole and helped into office through the massive political machinery

The initial attempts he made, said his aides, were stoutly resisted by the political establishment.

“The few policy changes he has made and appointments he made were seen as a move by him to stand alone and assert his authority. This is what has brought him to the current sorry state,” said another aide.

Without a structure of his own, his close associates, according to sources, are advising him to step down and let go. “After all, he was in his quiet corner before he was asked to come and be governor. If they don’t want him again, why would he fight them? How will he do it anyway?” said a source.

The thinking, said another source, is that a soft landing could be arranged for Obaseki whereby he would be allowed to serve out his term and go home in peace without any further molestation, which could include removal from office since his traducers have control of the House of Assembly.

The other two options, said a close associate, could not be contemplated without serious complications and consequences.

According to him, “Yes, he could join another party, as being proposed by the PDP but that could be grievous as the APC dominated House of Assembly could move against him before the general election

But a few of his associates still hope that a miracle could still happen even when the signs are clear that Oshiomole risks internal revolt if he decides to back down and support him.

Also the group leader of ANYBODY,BUT GODWIN OBASEKI
2020 HON.UYI OSATO said the Governor is been accused of miss appropriation of government funds and that for almost 4years he can not point to a meaningful project he has done. And that the people are tired of his leadership style.he also said the Governor should come out and tell how many edo people has he giving job to,who are those handling the contracts, what he has used the security votes for.etc.

We will keep you updated as the matters unfold.

EDO STATE CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA CRISIS DEEPENS AS YOUTH DRAG EDO STATE GOVERNMENT TO COURT...

BENIN CITY; Members of the renowned National Youth Council of Nigeria in Edo state chapter have vowed to take the government of Godwin Obaseki to court for imposing on them an over aged candidate to lead the National Youth Council Of Nigeria, Edo state chapter.
Speaking to newsmen after a crucial meeting, group leaders made it known that the Government of Godwin Obaseki through the commissioner of Youth and Sports presented one Mr Osahon Obasuyi Davidson as the choice of the government to led the council, and that nobody could challenge the Government, on this note a kangaroo election was held on the 20th of November, 2018 under heavily harmed vigilantes and men of the Nigerian police.
The said election, however became bloody when the outgoing exco led by Com. Innocent Ajayi and members of his executive went to the venue of the illegal election been carried out by the state Government to let them know the decisions reached by management which is the highest decision making body in the organisation, which was to put a stop to the election as it was not been conducted under the provision of the constitution. The police men and the vigilante guards who were suppose to protect the lives of citizens and maintain law and order did the opposite as they said they where under strict instruction to kill moreso that their bullets had been paid for, attacked the young leaders with various weapons, inflicted injuries on the council leadership, arrested and detained them without proper treatment.
After the purported election held, the youths of Edo state took to the street to protest the injustice done by the Edo state government by imposing candidates who do not meet the constitutional requirements.
The Edo state Government also came to the youth house with heavily armed security men to inaugurate the alleged exco of the purported election in Edo state, speaking on the day of inauguration the commissioner of Youth made it known that whatever was happening was the actual mind of the state Government led by Gov. Godwin Obaseki and that nobody could challenge it.
It is however disappointing that Gov. Godwin Obaseki led Government which presented itself as very principled and ready to uphold the workings of the law allow its Government stoop so low to interfere in an election where it is suppose to play a supervisory role but now imposing an over aged candidate as chairman.
It's a known fact that the National Youth Council of Nigeria was created by an act of Parliament, and no Federal or state government has the rights to impose or forcefully conduct an election for the council.
On this note the youths of Edo state who are peaceful and law abiding have decided to challenge the election and Government's involvement in the process.
As peace loving youths of Edo state, we ask the judiciary which is the last hope of the common man to carefully look into our prayers before them and do the needful.
We also use this medium, to call on our youths to be patient as the youth house can not be hijacked by unknown men whose visions and missions are to carry out the bidding of those who sent them and not that of the entire youthful population.
National Youth Council of Nigeria is Apolitical and a training ground for young leaders and cannot be otherwise taken.
The group reassured the general public that they will keep maintaining the path of peace and will not rest until justice is gained.
