Unbelievable! How can someone be this evil? Thinking he could fool people in the Name of God. Look at the young man sef. He'll soon start pleading for forgiveness. Thank God he was exposed. |
A coalition of pressure and socio-political groups in the South-East on the banner of the Eastern Consultative Assembly, ECA, has made the restructuring of the country, a major condition for backing any candidate or political party in the 2019 general elections. Rising from a meeting in Enugu, the Enugu State Capital, leaders of the groups, who lamented the killings of Igbo people in many parts of the country and refusal of the Federal Government to punish the culprits, said Nigeria cannot afford to continue with the unitary system of government. Held at the residence of Chief Mrs. Maria Okwor, the meeting had in attendance leaders of the Clergy, Christian Association, CAN, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, town unions, students groups, women associations, youth organizations and traders unions. Also present at the meeting were relatives of Ndubisi Uzoma, who was beheaded by Fulani herdsmen, last week, in Abuja and Pastor Mike Agbahime, who decried the release of Dauda and co who murdered his 74 year old wife, Bridget, in Kano last June. In a communique by Mrs. Maria Okwor and secretary of ECA, Evang. Elliot Ugochukwu- Uko, the ECA said ”the continued pretence by the central government that the loss of faith in unitary Nigeria as shown by various agitations for secession can be resolved through force of arms is childish and actually paints government as unserious and insincere about the need to save Nigeria’s future. Every adult in Nigeria, knows Nigeria’s survival is hinged only on a sincere restructuring of the polity along the lines of regional autonomy, anchored on true fiscal federalism according to the 1963 constitution. Continuous delay in restructuring Nigeria only deepens the acrimony, distrusts and fears presently ruling the land.” The leaders also tasked the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubabakar 111, who is visiting Enugu, today, on the killings of Igbo in the North and menace of Fulani herdsmen. They said: ”As a new awareness slowly but certainly emerges from the ashes of these trying period, we warn our leaders without followers that their 46 years old self-centred agenda and mindless exploitation of the masses’ helplessness has abruptly come to an end, as they have to key in to the people’s demand of political restructuring of Nigeria, if they want to truly lead the people. ”No politician who is not in support of restructuring Nigeria will receive votes in Igbo land, from ward elections, through state and National legislative elections to governorship and presidential elections. Our people will only vote for freedom from eternal slavery henceforth.” It condemned the release of Dauda Ahmed and co, who were charged for the murder of 74 year old Bridget Agbahime in Kano on June 2 2016, and urge both the Kano state government and the Federal government to re-arrest and retry the five murderers and bring to justice the killers of Mrs Agbahime as earlier promised by President Muhammadu Buhari. The ECA also condemned the non arrest and prosecution of Fulani Herdsmen who beheaded and carted away the head of citizen Ndubisi Uzoma in Iddo, airport road Abuja last week over incessant altercations with Fulani herdsmen due to the destruction of his farms. It stated that the continuous refusal by government to set up a Judicial commission of enquiry as demanded by the Senate, Amnesty International and others, over the extra-judicial killings of Igbo youths especially on February 9, 2016 at National High School Aba and St Edmonds Catholic Church Nkpor on May 30, 2016 has earned the secessionist groups more sympathy and painted government as the villain. ”The current government strategy of ‘we have enough ammunition to deal with you people’ exemplified by military operations named after all kinds of reptiles, is clearly not working. Identifying and addressing the issues that has led millions of young people to lose faith in Nigeria remains the only solution to resolving these agitations. Military solution only exacerbates it,” it added. www.vanguardngr.com/2016/12/2019-no-restructuring-no-vote-south-east-igbo-groups/ |

ENUGU—Pastor Mike Agbahime, husband of Bridget Agbahime, the Igbo woman who was killed in Kano by suspected Islamic youths, has cried out that his life is now in danger, following an allegation that the killers of his wife are now after his life so as to cover the matter from further prosecution. The suspected killers of Bridget Agbahime led by one Dauda were recently set free by a Kano State magistrate court. Pastor Agbahime in a press conference organized by an Igbo group, Eastern Consultative Assembly, ECA, in Enugu yesterday, alleged that the plot to kill him was because he is a principal witness to the murder. He was present at the scene of the murder and knows the suspects one on one. Agbahime said: “After the burial of my wife in Imo state, I went back to Kano and I was told they want to kill me since I was the principal witness. I confirmed the plot before I left Kano. “I want justice done in the matter. They killed my wife in my presence, yet the court presumed them innocent. The south east governors, the Senators, and interest groups should rise up to get the culprits re-arrested and tried. “I know Dauda and all those that killed my wife but now, they are telling me they are not guilty. Based on what law did they pronounce him innocent? “The suspects confessed and Dauda mentioned those that participated in the killing but up till now, they have not been arrested since police has finished investigation. “On that day, the group of boys chanting Alla kubahu overtook that shopping plaza, climbed upstairs, pulled down the iron with which they killed my wife.” Secretary of the Eastern Consultative Forum, Elliot Ukoh warned that it was the failure of successive governments in matters as that of Bridget that brought about agitation for self determination in Eastern Nigeria. “Failure to bring the suspects to book justifies IPOB. It is one the reasons there is agitation for Biafra,” said Ukoh. www.vanguardngr.com/2016/12/life-danger-husband-igbo-woman-killed-kano-cries/ |
Last Saturday was a sobering day for me. I had intended it to be a joyous one, as I joined other notable Igbo sons and daughters, and several non-Igbo guests of theirs to celebrate the transfer of the mantle of leadership of Aka Ikenga – that deeply intellectual pan-Igbo socio-political and cultural pressure group. The mantle of leadership was changing from one prominent Igbo son, Chief Goddy Uwazuruike (SAN) to another prominent son, Barr. Charles Odunukwe (Okemmiri), who happens to be a brother from another mother. Now, the history of the 28-year-old Aka Ikenga (as summarised by Gentleman Oscar Ndiwe) or the pledge by Odunukwe in his brief acceptance remark on behalf of the new executive committee, or what former governor Peter Obi told the gathering, or the wake-up call from Prof. Pat Utomi, etc. are topics for another day. But like I said earlier, it was a sobering experience for me – made more so by a leaflet shared at the Colonnades Hotel poolside venue by the Oganiru Igbo Development Initiative (OGADI). It was titled “BEFORE YOU TRAVEL FOR CHRISTMAS… We wish to remind you about the following”. And it went on to enumerate the pitiable lot of Ndigbo in Nigeria. Mind you, it did not focus on the fact that the South-east has the worst federal roads in the country, nor on the lopsided appointments of the President Muhammmadu Buhari regime. No! Its focus was on the way the Nigeria state unleashes its security, military and para-military agencies on the people and region of the South East zone, with almost every new policy seemingly aimed at reminding Ndigbo that they are a conquered people. For instance, it reminded Ndigbo: “Over 100 police check points, other security agencies and state revenue agents are mounted and waiting for you on the road from South West, North Central, North East and North West, as you travel to the South East for Christmas.” So, it further added: “Please, check your vehicle particulars and make sure they are genuine and up to date.” Painfully, that your particulars are genuine and up to date is no guarantee that the federal agents would not stop, detain, brutalise you and confiscate your vehicles. Despite that the proactive new Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, has dismantled check points and warned that policemen should not ask motorists for particulars, it would not stop anything. And if you think you know the IGP, I’m sorry for you. Before you make that all-important call, the criminal policemen would have either extorted or robbed you – and if you’re unlucky, even kill you and drive off without a trace. After the police, you’ll have to face the customs, especially now that they have banned importation of rice and vehicles through land borders. Even though the most viable smuggling routes are not found in Lagos and Ogun states, those are the places where the Customs men (and women) would be concentrating on. What that means is that every bag of rice or vehicle headed eastward this season stands confiscated as contraband, until proven otherwise. In fact, even if it’s only one bag of rice you’re carrying, so long as the security agent you’re unfortunate to run into has need for it, then it automatically becomes contraband. You’ll not only lose it, but may also need to ‘settle’, to avoid being arrested as well. And the cars, even if you’ve used your car for the last 10 years in Nigeria (or even if you just bought it, mint-fresh, from Coscharis, Elizade, Globe Motors, Dana or Honda Place, it would still be considered smuggled in. I had a terrible experience in Benin City recently with my official car, which is barely one year old. The documents the Customs men asked for were documents nobody has ever asked me of in my over 20 years of owning a car. And you know what? As stupid as it sounded, they had statutes that backed them up. No wonder a policeman jocularly told me, a few years ago, to find him “something” or he would detain me, claiming there were, at least, 46 items he could demand for, “if I wanted to prove that I knew the law” and that he was sure there would be one that I wouldn’t have. Don’t ask me if I paid! And that is not saying anything about the VIOs. Once those ones stop you, you automatically get a receipt. And it is whatever they say is your offence that it is. They are also free to charge you any fine. Luckily, those ones, at least, in Lagos, do not take bribe. They ask you to go pay into a bank account. That is the new form of state robbery that has emerged, as state governors look to shore up their internally generated revenues, from the same hapless citizens whose collective wealth they have looted. And in this season of recession! It appears these governments are determined to try people’s patience! Now, juxtapose these harrowing experiences with the lot of traders, who have to move their wares from the Lagos ports, for instance, eastward regularly. You then don’t need a professor to tell you why nothing works in the South East. Why goods are so expensive. Why the youths are so restive. Why Nnamdi Kanu is a hero. Why nothing outside of IPOB and Biafra makes meaning to the army of employable but unemployed youths. We already know that the hope of a seaport in Onitsha is a pipe dream. We know that the South East was wickedly excluded from our initial national gas master-plan, but must the Federal Government unleash its agents to make sure that even the distributive trade, where the south easterners find real succour does not also thrive? How far to the edge do we really want to push a people? And yet, we still do not even want them to cry out! Haba! My elementary knowledge of European history tells me that one of the major reasons the country called United Netherlands could not see the light of day was that Belgian manufacturers could not share the same interest as sea- faring, trading Dutch men. They went their separate ways. Today, however, the sane world has found a way to protect local manufacturers while not strangulating import-minded traders; why is Nigeria’s case different? Why is the trader so abhorred? Why must he be forced to use a seaport that is reputed to charge some of the most exorbitant fares on the face of the earth, when there are alternative land borders? Why can’t Nigeria arrest and deal with Customs men, who, for selfish reasons, fail to collect the right duties at the borders, after taking bribes? Why must the Igbo, who have the least chance of ever making it into the Nigerian Customs employ now be made to pay for the rot of the Nigerian system? Whatever good we see with traders in the town, must have passed through some officers at the ports, right? Or do the customs men collect bribe at the border, and then come into town to hound the same people who settled them at the border posts? Chasing with the hunt and running with the hound? But like the OGADI leaflet said: “Avoid the purchase of contraband goods and fake vehicle clearance documents from agents and third parties to avoid seizures or creating opportunities for extortion on the highway by over 100 Customs patrol checkpoint teams on our road to the East.” But, I dare add, in a country that manufactures nothing, where industries have either folded up or relocated to Ghana and China, just what is not a contraband? May god save us. …And lest we forget Virtually a quarter of the used cars that come into the country come with tinted glasses. That is another oil block for the policemen. Although, there are procedures for getting a permit for your tinted glass, try getting one and see how very ‘easy’ it is. Somebody called me from Aba, Abia State, a few months back, to narrate his ordeal. Those in Aba would have to travel to Umuahia the state capital to get the permit. They could spend the whole day there and still come back empty handed. They would have to lodge in that town for two to three days before they can be processed. And while that is on, they dare not drive the car. www.sunnewsonline.com/before-we-travel-for-christmas/ |
Deep-rooted resentment among the various ethnic nationalities in Nigeria, particularly by the Igbo against the others, dating back to the Nigerian civil war, has been identified as one of the reasons for the country’s unity challenges and stunted growth. Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Odein Ajumogobia made the remark at the public presentation of a book, The Land of My Birth by Abraham Nnadi, held in Lagos. While speaking at the event, Ajumogobia observed that the book examined the undercurrent of ethnic tensions, which still exertsprofound negative impact on national unity but stressed that Nigerians have chosen to ignore them. Describing the book as a historical novel set after the civil war, Ajumogobia said the book reflects on the war, village and communal lives of the Igbo people during this period. He observed that the book’s treatment of issues such as the blockage the eastern seaports that resulted in widespread starvation in the East, and the 20 pound account balance for all account holders of Igbo extraction after the war highlighted the author’s grasp of issues and his power of observation in very great details. “These are some of the things people may not consider to be politically correct, but they are issues we ought to think about, and reflect on in terms of when we talk about Nigeria’s unity and bringing us together as a people,” Ajumogobia said, adding that Nigerians have to face these facts and reconcile before the country can move forward. Nnadi explained that as a result of the war, owning a building was consider essential for the average Igbo man, even if it was the most simple of structures. He attributed this thinking to the perpetual fear of another pogrom and civil war in the country. Nnadi, however, observed that the present generation’s single-minded pursuit of money without principles or moral is giving the Igbo nation an image many are not proud of. He said the search for heroes among the survival of the war has given birth to young men and women who, in the process of making money, have allow money to rule them. “This is a painful harvest, “ he said.At the event, Sir Emeka Nwokedi and the Lagos City Chorale rendered several melodious songs to the delight of guests such as former Vice President, Cmdr. Ebitu Ukiwe, Admiral. Ndubuisi Kanu and Prof. Pat Utomi, Prof. Anya Anya, Dr. Alex Otti, Major Gen. Adewumi Ajibade, Onyeka Onwenu and Chief Ferdinand Agwu. www.guardian.ng/art/resentment-lies-at-the-heart-of-nigerian-unity-challenges/

Biafran warlord and Secretary-General of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, world- wide, Col Joe Achuzia, has revealed where the word ‘Biafra’ orgininated from. The civil war hero said he was proud to be addressed as “a Biafran” as that reflected his true identity. According to him, “You see people tend to forget the paradox about the Igbo. The word Igbo is not a tribal identity, it is linguistic identity. It is a language of a people collectively residing in the eastern region that used to be known as Southern Sudan. From the 14th, 15th, 16th century, the area was known as Southern Sudan. That is where the people known as Biafrans lived, hence the Bight of Biafra. “There would never have been a Bight of Biafra if there were no inhabitants occupying the mainland. I’m not here pleading a cause for Biafra. No, I’m only taking you to historical antecedents.” Asked why he joined the fight for the secession of Biafra from Nigeria between 1967 to 1970, the elder statesman said, “No, we fought for survival. Biafra never fought or did not attempt to break away from the Lugardian set up known as Nigeria. No! We, from the south east fought to prevent us from being exterminated in an effort to push us out of the federation. That we remembered out past, the thought came to our succour because when a people are under pressure of extermination, history comes to their assistance.” “How did our forefathers survive under the pressure that we had at the time from colonial masters? How did they survive? They survived by recollecting who they were and pulled together, hence the mark on our faces. Those marks differentiate the people who are Biafrans. Each community has a peculiar mark even though nowadays, we don’t do it anymore but it is engraved in our heart. “And that is why we resolved that we cannot fight individually as Nigeria wanted us then. We had to fight collectively as Biafrans. Biafra wasn’t coined to break up Nigeria, no”, he told Vanguard. www.dailypost.ng/2016/12/10/igbo-warlord-achuzia-reveals-origin-biafra/

If something is not done to curb all this relentless display of raw foolishness, then the future may not be so wonderful. Folks might actually start agitating for their "right" to walk around naked. |
Awka —GOVERNOR Willie Obiano said yesterday that his administration has no issues with the groups agitating for the actualization of Republic of Biafra, insisting that the concern of the state government was to make Anambra State conducive for investors. Speaking through his commissioner for information and communications strategy, Ogbuefi Tony Nnacheta at a news conference in Awka, Obiano also denied the allegation that he instigated the military exercise code- named Operation Python Dance to diminish the struggle of the pro-Biafra agitators. The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, had, in a statement by its Spokesperson, Mr. Emma Powerful, said his group would hold the South East governors responsible if anything happened to anybody in the zone because, according to him, the Federal Government and the Nigeria Army could not have deployed weapons in all the parts of South East without the consent of the state governors. But Obiano said yesterday: “It is incorrect for some persons to suggest that Anambra State is at war or loggerheads with any sect, persons or organizations on account of the ongoing military training exercise. Rather, the officers and men of the Nigerian Army are enjoined to discharge their duties with courtesy, thereby earning the respect of our people in the entire Southeast. “We are informed that an elaborate civil – military cooperation line of operation has been planned during the exercise. The Anambra State government will at all times ensure that the rights and comfort of our people, which are non-negotiable, are respected by all and sundry. “The on-going exercise by the Nigerian Army in the South East is being misinterpreted by some persons as an exercise designed to inconvenience the Igbo and in particular Anambra people. Exercise Python Dance is a routine military exercise by the Nigerian Army in the South East of Nigeria and not only in Anambra state. “Similar exercises had also taken place in other geopolitical zones of the country without any incident or controversy.” www.vanguardngr.com/2016/12/weve-no-issues-pro-biafra-agitators-obiano/

Pythons are a group of non-venomous snakes that ambush and constrict their prey to death, then swallow them whole. True, python is a dangerous reptilian creature. It belongs to the specie of divinely cursed animals. It hates man so much it does not waste its precious time to bite him. Rather it ambushes and constricts its prey to death, then swallows them whole. Just as the Nigerian state is wont, using its coercive and most repressive instrument, the Nigerian Army. In furtherance of its endemic hatred for the Igbo, the Nigerian Army has engaged the fearsome python in a bizarre dance east of the Niger. The army began this weird dance with pythons late last month in an exercise in the five South East states, code-named ‘Exercise Python Dance’, ostensibly “to checkmate anticipated rising wave of crimes usually prevalent during the Yuletide.” Naturally, there has been apprehension in Igbo land as regards the true intention of the exercise, especially when the army threatened that it would not hesitate to apply the ‘Rule of Engagement’ to deploy troops and appropriately deal with pro-Biafra agitators. It is not only the Igbo that are worried but all human rights organisations have condemned this latest maneuvering against harmless, armless Igbo youths, exercising their constitutional rights to demand self-determination. Ironically, this is coming after the recent damning report of Amnesty International, AI, which revealed continued mass massacre of innocent Igbo across the Nigerian state. The AI report, entitled: Bullets were raining everywhere”: Deadly repression of Pro- Biafra activists, exposed extrajudicial killing and torture of the Igbo by Nigerian security forces, resulting in the death of about 150 pro-Biafra protesters in the last one year. Instead of extricating itself from such unflattering report after its initial lame denial of the atrocious act, even as Biafra claim the estimated victims was too conservative, the Nigerian Army has brashly moved to entrench or continue Nigeria’s customary pogrom against the Igbo, who have become sport for the Nigerian authorities. President Muhammadu Buhari just told a delegation of some South East leaders that the Biafran youths should forget Biafra because it is impossible to breakup Nigeria. Much as I do not subscribe to the president’s insincere reasons and promises, I think he is right somehow. It is my humble submission that most Igbo do not actually wish for a dismembered Nigeria. Rather, they dream of a Nigeria where the Igbo will be accorded their pride of place as one leg of the tripod on which Nigeria stands and live as equal stakeholders with full dignity. It is unfortunate how people play politics with just everything, including the collective destiny of an entire race. Those people that occupy front rows in mosques and churches have simply refused to acknowledge Nigeria’s sin against the Igbo. They have remained obstinate in perpetuating this evil and claim or pretend not to notice but as Dame Patience Jonathan would say, ‘there is God o’. However, the Igbo need a new strategy. We cannot continue to call out unarmed youths to march on the streets against Nigerian soldiers, who relish mauling them to death. We cannot continue to preach hatred of others whereas we clamour to be loved. Seriously, we are all agreed that Biafra is alive and can never die but in the present circumstances, we should not be talking about an independent state of Biafra. My reasons are many but most importantly, as an apostle of homeward integration, the Igbo will be worse off for it if the independent state of Biafra materialises today. How do we intend to run such a state when majority of Igbo investments are offshore? Over the years, the Igbo had developed their host communities more than the indigenes. Many have assimilated the cultures of other lands and neglected or forgotten their own. Now, even such things as traditional marriages are conducted outside their homesteads in other lands. Also, the Igbo now have a stupid arrangement, called Eze Ndigbo in the Diaspora. Arrant nonsense! Have you seen Oba of Yoruba in Onitsha? Or Emir of Hausa-Fulani in Aba? How can we seriously be claiming a Biafran state that will wither at the birth table? There is confusion everywhere. Today it is Nnamdi Kanu? Who really is this young man, who came from nowhere to dislodge his fathers from IPOB, a group they laboured to form? What, truly, is his agenda? If I were President Buhari, I would have since ordered Kanu’s release from detention, as keeping him in jail has enabled him to achieve his feigned heroism. Before it was Ralph Uwazurike but now, one Uchenna Madu claims to have driven Uwazurike out MASSOB, a movement Uwazurike founded and used to reignite the Biafra agitation. Even the Nnamdi Kanu he made Director of Radio Biafra betrayed him. This subterfuge, blackmail, sabotage and selfishness can never give us Biafra. Even though Uwazurike may not be perfect (nobody is), his non violence template stands a better chance of getting us to Biafra overtime. It is suicidal to incite youths to confront armed soldiers, because as they say, only a fool would dare a man with a gun. Let the Igbo heal themselves before the talk of Biafra. Nigerian armed forces kill the Igbo with glee and nothing happens because there is no strong voice to speak for us. Sadly, we scuttle the efforts of those that should speak for us. That is how we have ended up with political minions in the National Assembly. Judge it yourself: Apart from Ikeoha, Ekweremadu, how distinguished are those people in the senate? How honourable are those in the House of Representatives? Are they the best Igbo can afford? What is their impact? How did they get there? Even the governors, what manner of governance is ongoing in Igbo land, tragicomic or downright comic? And we want Biafra? Where will we get the leaders in Biafra land? We have to be careful about this matter. Let us invest at home. Let us stop developing other lands. Let us recreate Nnewi in every town in Igbo land. Let us love one another and eschew all evil, including kidnapping and armed robbery that drive away interested investors. Let wicked relations repent and all witch doctors abandon their shrines and run to God as new creatures. We can then talk about Biafra or even not at all because economic prosperity and freedom is higher than any other right. After all, Buhari wanted power at all cost and got; yet all he does is making a singsong of how corrupt the Jonathan and gang he supplanted were. Both Buhari and the power he inherited had receded so fast people are now asking that their corruption be brought back. It is certain that with economic freedom, nobody would be talking about recession. Nevertheless, the Nigerian Army can dance with the python for as long as it desires. Though it may ambush and constrict the Igbo to death, it can never swallow the Igbo whole. The Igbo never slump; we die standing, on our feet. www.nigeriatoday.ng/2016/12/when-python-goes-dancing/ |

Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra/ Biafra television, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu has vowed never to betray Biafrans or abandon the fight for Biafra State. He said he would continue to reject materials allegedly offered him to renounce Biafra struggle until victory for Biafrans was achieved. Kanu who spoke through his lawyer, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejioffor said his prosecutors and persecutors have come with many strategies to trick him to sign off his quest for Biafra and regain his freedom which he rejected because of his love for the freedom of his people. “I have been battling with forces of darkness both physically and spiritually since I was arrested. They came with many strategies just to trick me into signing off my quest for Biafra and gain my personal freedom. Little did they know that I am more intelligent and determined; I refused all their offers because the freedom of my people, Biafrans, is paramount to me and their freedom is the freedom of Nnamdi Kanu. The pains and agony of all Biafrans are the pains and agony of Kanu.” “Prominent leaders, countries in the world and those who don’t have the videos of the killed Biafrans in their possession should go to YouTube and watch the heinous crime committed by the Nigeria Government and her security agencies against peaceful members of IPOB during peaceful rallies and demonstrations in all the Biafra cities of Aba, Onitsha, Owerri, Igweocha (Port Harcourt), Calabar, Uyo, Asaba, Enugu, Bayelsa and other numerous cities. “The senseless killing of Biafrans is the senseless killing of Nnamdi Kanu. The cry of the Biafran youths is the cry of Nnamdi Kanu. The joblessness of Biafrans after university is the joblessness of Nnamdi Kanu. The impoverishment and subjugation of all Biafrans is the impoverishment and subjugation of Nnamdi Kanu. The child abuses of Biafran children by the Hausa/Fulani cattle headers is that of Nnamdi Kanu,” he stated. “The illegal detention of Biafrans in several prisons both overseas and Nigeria is that of Nnamdi Kanu. The sexual harassment of our young ladies while seeking for jobs after graduation is that of Nnamdi Kanu. The rapping and killing of our mothers and sister in our farmland by the Hausa/Fulani cattle headers is also that of Nnamdi Kanu. The untimely death of Biafrans due to bad road situations in Biafra Land is that of Nnamdi Kanu.” Kanu continues: “The cries of our parents living in the riverine areas they call South/ South due to the environmental damage caused by Shell in our land is also that of Nnamdi Kanu. The seizure of goods and sleepless nights and pains of all the Biafrans importers in the hands of the Hausa/Fulani, Yoruba customs and Police is that of Nnamdi Kanu. “The stress that Biafrans pass through while traveling for 8 hours to Lagos and Abuja International Airports before they gain access to travel abroad which in most cases take many lives in the process while traveling is that of Nnamdi Kanu. The heartbrake of Biafran business men and women, importers and petty traders in Lagos State due to intentional fire outbreaks caused by haters of Biafrans, in their business places in Lagos and another part of Nigeria is that of Nnamdi Kanu,” he declared. “The cry of the Biafran families that lose their children in Malaysia, Indonesia, China, and India and other parts of the world due to immigration and police intimidation is that of Nnamdi Kanu. The death of Bafrans, those trying to cross Sahara Desert and Mediterranean Sea to Europe in search of greener pastures is that of Nnamdi Kanu. “The fake promises of all the politicians in our villages and towns in (Biafran land) who promise and deceive our parents during election but always failing them after being voted into power and all these problems that affect all Biafrans are the problems of Nnamdi Kanu too,” the IPOB leader noted. “I want to say, thank you, thank you to our mother from, Akwa-Ibom, Cross Rivers, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Abia states. I am grateful for all our mothers because you gave birth to these great men and women of honour, those sons and daughters that always protest for my release under the Sun and rain. My thanks to all the fathers too who allowed their children to join (IPOB meetings) across Biafra Land,” Kanu applauded. www.naija247news.com/2016/11/biafra-republic-will-be-my-last-words-on-earth-nnamdi-kanu-vows/

Former Chief Security Officer, CSO, to ex- Military Head of State, late Gen Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al- Mustapha, has advised the Igbo race to be united in order to achieve their purpose. Mustapha made the appeal yesterday at this year’s Odumegwu Ojukwu’s memorial service in Owerri, Imo State. Noting that Ojukwu was a committed military leader, the former CSO said the Igbo race has all it takes to lead the world. According to Mustapha, “In the absence of unity of purpose, Ndigbo will end up wasting their time and achieving practically nothing. “We equally feel the pains of Ndigbo. There are palpable traces of poverty in every street in this land”. www.dailypost.ng/2016/11/27/igbo-can-achieve-biafra-unity-al-mustapha/
