Farouq94: I do not sell currently. I have been breeding mine for a while now so they have acclimated to the environment.
Thats true, buying from the market is very risky. If you are not buying from a single flock/farmer, I do not advise buying 20 at the same time.
If your only option is the open market, there are still ways to select the best breeds, then isolate and medicate them accordingly before letting them free-range or mix with your other poultry, Pls explain the ways to select the best breeds and then isolate/medicate them accordingly. Thanks |

Dailyparrot: Lekki of recent has become a terrible place to work.
Even on weekends, the traffic there is terrible. The Lekki-Epe Expressway is fast becoming so bad with lots of potholes. I took a friend to Ibeju Lekki for a burial ceremony and I couldn't believe my eyes when we were returning back. The road up to Ajah Underbridge was something else.
When it rains, there's no part of Lekki that's good to go. I just see this Lekki as nothing but a bubble. People paying millions for misery.
If nothing is done on Lekki roads with the way flood is washing away the tars, taking trips to Lekki will soon be likened to taking trips to Ijegun where you will be faced with multiple challenges: mad traffic and extremely bad roads.
Sincerely, I avoid Lekki trips lately. The only benefit is the big money it gives cause its a long trip. Once you end that trip, you either find your way back to the Mainland or face the traffic throughout your movement there. What is causing the traffic there is the increased in vehicular movement to the free trade zone/dangote refinery and those new real estate springing up in those places plus pot holes..besides the worst is yet to come...by the time companies start relocating to those areas fully even the triple lane being constructed from FTZ won't be able to handle the traffic....and we all know we don't have any preventive maintenance culture in this part of the world...smh for that area in the nearest future except something urgent is done. |

Farouq94: 20 eggs later, three chickens went broody. Unfortunately thats one of the disadvantages of leaving the clutch of eggs. The natural instinct of the chicken to brood kicks in. Mind you, these eggs were not laid at the same time so some embryo’s had already formed whilst some eggs were still fresh.
I had to take everything away and put them in the incubator because the eggs not hatching at the same time means the chicken is going to abandon the nest as soon as the first batch hatches.
More chickens started laying today and this time we don’t leave the eggs in their nest so I expect much more eggs. Pls. I need local chickens in bulk.., I don't want to buy front the market cos they said the ones from the market are always afflicted with different diseases....what is your source or can I get like 20 local chickens from you for a start? |

Farouq94: I mixed 25kg of Layer mash, 25kg maize bran, 5kg rice bran, 5kg wheat bran, millet and sorghum grain 5kg. Everything mixed together has an estimated 13.4% crude protein.
You can always look around and see the feed ingredients you have close to you that is cheap and nutritious to the chicken and mix it in, thats what I did. Thanks |

Farouq94: Feed has been mixed and the chickens love it. I did a mix of layer mash, maize offal, rice bran, wheat bran, millet and guinea corn.
An approximate cost of N13,000 was spent for 65kg of feed. There are still ways to cut this down but because they have been free-ranging for a long time with no supplemental feed, I want them to bulk up fast before I reduce the crude protein to maintenance level. With a total of 17 chickens, we’ll see how long the feed lasts. Pls give us breakdown of the food u mix together and in what proportions too... |

organicfoods: No not poison, when you feed them the right nutrients, they will reward you. The secret is digesting Amino Acid using organic acids from fruits for the birds. With this supplement they build up weight quickly from the little feed they eat. All the supplements are produced through fermentation processes. Pls give breakdown of the food u gave them to grow so fast |

ReadaDream: If truly, the mystery man is Cheerful, then your submission is the only logical reason why he'll take up rental.
Myself as an example, recently I've been looking out for rental deal, I almost contacted Ghost1994 for his Nissan, but location made me not to.
What is my reason for looking at renting again? I want to drop my current car with my wife to use for running around, we have a baby and I'm not comfortable with her going out in public transport with the baby, so we've been ordering rides and omo, our riders they try. Last week, I spent about 21k on ride from Sangotedo to Ikorodu and back.
So if you see me renting tomorrow, one might think probably something is wrong.
As far as I know, cheerful is just start a family too, who knows? He might have dropped the corolla with his wife.... I support your motion...taking up rental even if you have your own car is not a bad idea and is not the end of life....anybody can take up rental even if you own a car and different reasons could warrant that...best known to the person concerned...anybody can get hit by life provided u dust up, pick up yourself n keep moving....the sky is the starting point...of anything happens to anyone here, we should nt rejoice in the unfortunate incident, but sympathize with the person n continue with life cos life can happen to anybody...pls no offense intended to anybody....peace |
