Alamkir: Nawao..... Una no even rate Iran at all. Firstly, what evidence does US needs to invade iran, when did they ever need evidence to invade any country, if US hasn't invaded Iran it's because they believe Iran is capable of standing up against them. Secondly, iam shocked that in this 2024 you still think US can easily invade iran like Iran is Yemen or something. Una go just dey say "US will pound to stone age" like its that easy I don't rate Iran because I understand their capacity and capabilities. Look, I'm gullible to think that iran can fight with the u.s in their turf and not suffer.
One on one with Israel that's understandable, but israel will never fight iran without the backing of the u.s in both equipment and manpower. Ordinary hamas, they waited for arms delivery from the u.s before they could began their campaign but you're thinking they'll fight israel alone?
Just before anything begins, the u.s have already sent carrier strike group to support Israel, what does that tell you.
I know that iran has some capabilities to defend itself, but some of you don't know how far the u.s can go to preserve their hegemony. No matter how powerful Iran is at the moment, they cannot fight the united states of america.

Obedience40: you should take time to read about the USA based sea air defence, "Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System" those destroyers ships are actually are actually air defences which were incorporated into ships as a sea leg of the USA missile defence program.
the USA navy carrier don't operate in shallow waters but deep inside the ocean, that means any drone attack launch from the land would have to travel a bit of a distance to strike attack it which gives the strke group time to react.
no Carrier group oprates in hostile water's, were it can be easily attacked, it nuclear reactors gives it unlimited range, in a war with a capable enemy like China, the USA carrier's would likely operates far from missiles range and use its aircraft to attack, the essence of a aircraft Carrier is to be able to fighter jets close enough to the battle ground.
I get your point's thou, a group of drones attacking a Carrier group would definitely score a point, the key for carriers is "deterrence" using it's jets and it's escorts long range missles to hit target before they get close. You still don't get it. I believe you're not myopic. I think you obviously lack the cognitive propensity to fathom the subject of discourse.
What Appleyard is saying, is in conjuction with what i told you yesterday. There's no defensive system that can score a 100% defensive rate when swarmed in close proximity with advance drones.
The reason for the introduction of EWS as a protective layer is to prevent the exhaustion of interceptor missle while simultaneously doing the interception, but this doesn't defect the obstacle of swarming itself.

Watcharena: was there any evidence when US invade Iraq ? C'mon let's not argue blindly and stick with facts.
Both of u.s will agree that the iraqi war cannot be compared to that of iran if it plays out. Iraq has no strategic patner Neither does it have any defensive or economic syndicate with anyone at that time. Infact, iraq has nobody nor interest in anyone.
But Iran on the other hand has alot at hand. From russia, china, allies, patners etc This is the main thing stopping the u.s to invade using IDF.

dvkot: how is a war in ME in Iran favor? You need to carefully understand geopolitics and not mix it with emotions, Netanyahu wants an excuse for USA to pound Iran to stone age, a serious war in the ME involving Israel against Iran will not be Israel war but rather USA. USA facilities may suffer but Iran will become second Gaza if not nuked, so tell me how this will favor Iran? After decades of sanctions they still manage to grow and they will just throw everything away one day to a war they know they can't win? C'mon they not that stupid. Until Iran has nukes it's not ready for any direct war with Israel.. better they keep doing what they do with the proxies. This is a very factual and realistic write-up.
This is obviously how things will play out. Many on this platform claiming an iran vs israel war will see israel destroyed don't know that iran will never rise again if they face off with israel without acquiring nukes, we all know that israel can't fight iran alone, hence a war with israel is a war with the u.s and the u.s will brutally execute that war turning iran to an inhabitable stone age scenerio. The 2 reasons, the u.s has not gone to war with this people is the lack of evidence to invade iran. Secondly is the reaction of other superpowers if the the u.s decide to invade with the IDF without genuine reasons.
I actually rushed to check the moniker hoping it was one of those dumb western folks parading this thread only to be disappointed that it was you. I know deep inside me that non of those slaves can put together such factual statement.

emmaodet: I don't know if a diesel-electric submarine operates differently from a diesel -electric ship but from my experience working on a Diesel -electric ship for about 4 years now, this is how it works compared to conventional diesel ship - The diesel -electric ship uses diesel to power it's generators which inturn powers it's electric motors that powers the propulsion and everything on ship while a conventional ship uses diesel to start it's main engines that power the propulsion engines while generators work by the side powering electrical equipment onboard. I doubt ships run on batteries alone for propulsion. Batteries are used to power critical equipment onboard that uses 220/440v and not heavy equipment or propulsion engines like propellers and rudders not steering gears Surface vessels and underwater vessels work quite differently.
With the absence of the internet, my little knowledge about engineering could still put up a point for this aurgument, but thank God for the internet. Diesel engines cannot work under water, because a diesel engine needs constant O2 which is of less supply in the depth of the ocean.
A diesel-electric submarine works completely on electric when fully submerged. This includes powering the circuit onboard and the propellers that moves the sub around. The only down side to this is the battery's inability to operate for long due to it limited capacity.
When the battery capacity is low, the submarine surface, turn on the diesel engine while getting enough O2, charge up the batteries and go back go to the depth of sea.
When a diesel submarine is underneath the sea, it become more steathier than a nuclear powered submarine.

Modified don't mind my language, what you posted here was just a Sub running on just batteries, no military sub used just electric power for now without it's diesels components.
what you posted is just an expert assessment of just a Sub using just electric power and that it would be more quieter than a nuclear sub or a diesel sub.
forgive my language. You keep shooting yourself on the foot, because you're playing russian roulette. I told you before not to put forward a debate you have zero knowledge about.
To set the records straight, a diesel-electric submarine uses electric for navigation, the diesel engine is only turned on when the battles are out of power and need to be recharged.
I hope you understand now.

Obedience40: Even a hybrid system, still won't be stealthier than a nuclear sub, you can look that up.
a nuclear powered sub gives you unlimited range, and survivability.
a good example is Australia cancelling it's electric diesel sub deal with France, in favour nuclear powered sub deal of the AKUS coalition with the UK and USA.
so funny we are talking Subs you are bringing cars into the mix, do car's used propulsion system to powdered it's engine, dose a v12 uses nuclear reactors??
we are talking the survivability of a Sub under the water man's is talking about an electric car😆😆😆
that reply wasn't for you dude, it was for the samurai. Now you've switched to survivability?, The example i gave regarding the introduction of cars was as a result of your outright cry of "stealthiness"
You think a diesel-electric submarine uses diesel engine as the main source of navigation? The diesel engine is primarily to recharge the batteries when low, more like a backup power.
hypothetically speaking, If those battries could last for 5months without recharge, the need for a nuclear powered submarines will drop, and the sea will become scarier because when the diesel engine is not operational, a hybrid submarines is more steather.
I don't need to argue with you again on this subject again, don't say i did not correct you.

some of USA navy subs are from the cold war era so the Soviet union would have nuclear subs
try and read well, comprehension issues seems prevalent in this thread. 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm talking about an Hybrid system and this on is talking about diesel.

Obedience40: the essence of a Sub is its ability to remain undetected, subs are detected by sonar and sonar work's by watching for sounds made by the subs, such sounds might be from the propellers, engine.
a nuclear sub makes less sound, have unlimited range and can submerge for a longer period a diesel sub can't do that.
I have learnt na, i wasn't aware of the Russian underwater drone in development "Poseidon". You're almost on the same page with me but still not able to comprehend this context.
There's a reason why nuclear submarines are for blue waters and diesel-electric subs are for brown waters. In their respective advantages, a diesel-electric sub is better, but lack the rage that a nuclear sub dominates. Ooh, you keep using diesel instead for the diesel-electric (hybrid)

Obedience40: have you read WHAT you wrote, all your analysis was based on "IF", there is no probability in warfare, the so called Russian drone is still in development stage, yet you are using a weapon that hasn't been produced yet. A system not even battle tested, to compete with a carrier group ideology that has stood the test of TIME, a naval battle system that for years stood, a blue water navy capabilities that navies like China are striving hard to attain.
that was how the S400 was hype as the next New thing in air defence technology, now it's a shooting gallery for cold war era ATACMS missiles. The word "IF" is where ideas are born.
I know many of you here don't comment your ideas only what others think are the subject matter. The explanation of how that weapon will work is well detailed for a 5years old to understand. Has it been created yet? Nobody knows Has it been used yet? No Is it feasible? Yes (highly)

The idea of as Sub is to remain undetected, how dose a diesel engine/electric sub more stealthier than a Sub powered by a nuclear propulsion system.
a diesels sub will emit more noise than a nuclear powered sub, thus can't be more stealthier, nuclear power Subs were developed to increase their undetectability
online naval war expert. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Yes. I modified it because i once typed this only for me to mistakenly click on something else and the whole write-up was deleted. I don't know if NL can work on this, it's frustrating.
Back to you. Diesel-electric submarines are more stealther than nuclear powered submarines.
Let not act as expert on this field. Diesel-electric subs are more stealther than nuclear sub, the only down size are it rage. Due to it being powered my batteries, they move more stealthy but when the batteries are out of power, the disadvantage in rage comes into play. The diesel engine will be turned on to charge up this batteries either by surfacing or using a snorkel, but this engine produces more noise than a nuclear powered submarine. The longest recorded time of a diesel electric submarine recorded underwater without the use of the diesel engine for charging is 14 days.
In this time frame, a diesel electric submarine is more stealther than a nuclear powered submarine. If not for this limitation, a diesel electric would've been way better than a nuclear powered submarine.
I hope you learnt something today? |

There are currently 2 Borei-class submarines underconstruction.
Putin signed a degree some years ago to increase and modernize the russian navy and i believe what they're doing is to build and commission every weapon on their inventory even of it is 2units yearly. That being said, russia has commissioned over a dozen diesel-electric submarines like the kilo-class submarines which are more stealther than nuclear submarines but their only downside is rage.
I pray one day you find redemption.

Appleyard: You can also fathom in drone technology. Imagine a swarm of drone targeted at a carrier strike group? Scores would definitely be recorded. The modern era will live in has changed due to the unprecedented leap in missile, drone, and AI technology. For example, sea-based drone boats are a menace to modern surface ships just as their air compatriots are difficult to intercept. It is only kids that still believe modern warfare is like what Rambo and Comando movies were where big ships and one man soldier can easily destroy a country. To be honest, hollywood served the purpose of it creation.
To brainwash folks like him. Modern warfare have changed because of drones, and carriers are a sitting dusk for missles. But with introduction of drones, carriers are now lying dusk if that's even a word. When most of us talk about drones in connection to carriers, they think of those ukrianian surface or underwater drones, but the real deal is something similar to russia's poseidon nuclear torpedo capable of carrying 2MT nuclear warhead. After being swanned by cheap underwater sea drones, if the real deal bypass enemy's defenses and manage to detonate underneath a carrier strike group it's game over.

Austria is also very similar to Germany in almost everything including holiday and ethics. I gave you the parameters inwhich you can get this similarities.
The way they dress The way they salut The way they get married Their religion What they like eating What language they speak Just to name a few. It's everything including physical and non physical attributes.
You can't expect writer to start listing all their cultural similarities. You can't be given meat, and still be shown how to eat it. Do some research.

A deep thinking requires that you ask in what way are these countries similar culturally? The definition of culture: 1. the ideas, customs, and social behaviour of a particular people or society. Another broad definition. 2. Culture refers to the cumulative deposit of knowledge, experience, beliefs, values, attitudes, meanings, hierarchies, religion, notions of time, roles, spatial relations, concepts of the universe, and material objects and possessions acquired by a group of people in the course of generations through individual and group striving.
This should give you a broad category in which all those countries mentioned on that list can fall into.

Appleyard: When kids believe in myth, reality becomes the baddest rude awakening bitchh.
In 2006 during a live-fire training exercise by the US Navy, a Chinese Kilo class submarine emerged from beneath behind the US carrier, simply bypassing thr entire US Carrier fleet and emerge on the surface undetected. When the US Navy command saw what happened, they were angry because they understood that if this was a hot war, the Chinese sub could simply hsve taken out the carrier and many of the fleet around it because they never saw it coming. It effectively busted the myth that you cannot reach or approach a US carrier group undetected.
One thing your irks don't know is that fleet carrier and strike groups are one of the most vulnerable military assets in a peer battle scenario. During WW2, for example, the US Japan lost more than 20 carrier ships to submarines and air strike attacks. The US lost more than 10 carrier ships also. And that was when missile tech is still in its infancy. Imagine now that you have hypersonic missiles, stealth missiles, and missles that even shoot flares while in flight to confuse enemy's detection assets.
Guy, while carrier ships offers global power projection and reach, they remain one of the fattest sitting dock targets for peers with 21st century rocket technology. Watch him come up with a lengthy write-up filled with gibberish explanations. In this era, the development of carriers has a lot of disadvantages than the advantages they provide. Any serious country will know that the development of advance submarines and hypersonic missiles is the utmost priority, because this is the true game changer in an all out war |
