IjeBos: I'm not sure you understand what refute is. He was setting the stage so he could be popular enough to be President. There has been a lot of scholarship done on Putin's rise to power. Of course there can't be any hard facts on it as it's Russia and Putin will probably have you killed. Like all those people just deciding to jump out of windows or fall down stairs recently. Here is one article https://www.rferl.org/a/putin-russia-president-1999-chechnya-apartment-bombings/30097551.html and another https://www.wilsoncenter.org/publication/foiled-attack-or-failed-exercise-look-ryazan-1999
Again you seem to be a paid shill or and unpaid one. If you were in court and was asked to provide an evidence to backup your claim, and you said the emboldened, my friend you'll be jailed for defamation. I read those articles yesterday including others concerning this claim and there was no evidence whatsoever to backup that claim. Next time you quote me make sure you come with high sense of factuality. I hope you learnt something. |

IjeBos: I started this off explaining you to why it was pointless discussing anything with you. You have a myopic view of the world, either by the fact that you're paid to be or that you're insulated. Everything that doesn't align with your views are Fake News and Disinformation. Yet the one credible party happens to be the Russian leader who used to head the KGB (Russian Intelligence Service). Go figure. There are plenty of your type on this forum.
I asked you where you live to understand what guides and influences your views. There's an expression that goes, "You are the some of your environment and experiences". You don't want to share that environment so we can understand what shapes your viewpoint and what biases you may or may not have.
So, I'll continue to post contrary information to your misinformation when I see fit. You should try to diversify your view points or learn how to evaluate the biases of the things you read. You seriously think am a gullible fellow. I'll continue to school you on this thread till you're lettered enough to know you don't use an alleged claim as facts in a political deliberation. What are your facts that Putin killed his own people to get into power? You can't change the topic of discourse to my personal life, after making a claim that Putin killed his own people to get into power. We where talking about politics not where i live, you can't escape this. Come to think of it, Putin was already made prime minister of the Russian federation before the the incident that occured in Moscow (1999). Who was Putin fighting against? Was he fighting against his own people, after been made the prime minister? My friend you need to set yourself loose from the chains of the MSM. After refuting your claim that Putin killed his own people to get into power, instead of you to come up with definite fact to backup your claims, you resort to calling me a paid Russian propagandist and getting to know where am from. Let me make something clear to you. Where an individual lives does not matter. When you've a proper formal and informal education and have had a requisite level of experience, it's like moving from darkness to light. |

Getting in better shape should be encouraged.
There's no health benefits of being overweight, infact being overweight is a predisposing factor to many health hazards.
All these laws are not in anyway beneficial health-wise.
But for those fat-shaming, the law will surely deal with them. |

He believes that it is necessary to create attractive mechanisms for this.
The presidential decree notes that in 2022, “under the influence of changed socio-economic conditions”, the migration outflow increased.
That is why it is important to take “additional measures to ensure that fewer Russians go abroad,” the document says. Those measures should be put in place, ASAP. |

IjeBos: You have a habit of making pronunciations without any actual evidence and then backtracking when you get called out on it. I asked you to name the the US journalist arrested in the US for reporting who still remains in Jail. You still haven't. Your links of course doesn't back up your propaganda because it doesn't exist. Trump (who loves Putin and many believed was at the minimum a useful idiot for Putin) and his autocratic tending administration arrested Journalists. There was a national outcry. I believe the charges were eventually dropped.
I asked where you live as you don't seem to have a reference point for what an independent judiciary looks like. The fact that you think Russia is the standard is amazing to me but not surprising. It's consistent with all the other propaganda you seem to inhale and regurgitate. The issue is that, you simply can't comprehend. Read what i initially wrote, I'll definitely understand. |

IjeBos: Not sure what you are talking about. It's sounds like propaganda. If it is not you can list the names of all those still in jail. But reread what you wrote. Trump is like Putin. And if what you wrote is accurate (which I doubt) they were released because in the US the courts are independent and the 1st amendment (freedom of the press) is held sacrosanct. As I said journalists embed with Soldiers. That's why I have so much respect for them. They will literally be on TV 5 feet away from bullets or bombs going off reporting "I am in ___ and a bullet just whizzed by me". They are nutz. Of course they would be in Russia taking a risk for their craft.
Wow. Went through the normal process of the judiciary system? Lol. Russian Judicial system? AHahahahha God you have fallen down the Russian propaganda rabbit hole.
More propaganda. No such map was shown on US TV. You seem to watch a lot of Russian propaganda and seem incapable of separating reality from that propaganda. IjeBos: You seem like you don't. Putin came to power by bombing his own people and making it look like it was separatists that did it. As I said if he can bomb, kill and lie to his own people to gain power, he'll do worse to those who aren't. So, I discount whatever "truth" he's trying to tell me.
You are making the argument that every president makes decisions based on what's good for their country but then are ignoring the economic/territorial interests Russia is seeking from it's advancement in Ukraine and other old Soviet block countries. And you are repeating an asinine reason as in "cleansing a country of Natzis" that aren't attacking you or anyone is reason enough to kill 100'000's of your citizens, have millions other flee, lift the mirage that your military is capable and throw your country into economy turmoil. Go back and look at the economic reasons why Russia would want Ukraine and maybe you'll start to understand the truth. It's the same economic reasons that Western countries would rather have Ukraine align with the West.
The difference between you and I. 1.) I'm a US citizen. So with the understanding that countries do some things that aren't n the interest of other nations to propel their own interests, being a US citizen those things generally serve me. Whether I agree with them or not. You aren't a Russian citizen (well I assume you aren't). So the things they do in disservice to other nations doesn't serve you. Yet you are here supporting those actions, Why? 2.) I understand that the US has a sordid history abroad, but the values they speak to at home (outside of Trump), is one of democracy, freedom and justice. It's not a perfect country but everyday it moves closer to those ideals. What ideals does Russia hold? What ideals does Russia guarantee it's own citizens? You live in a country (I assume you live in Nigeria) strangled by the same things Russia stands for (corruption, an oligarchy and citizens struggling for basics) and somehow this is the country you think should have some moral imperative over the world? I'll pass. If you say Putin came into Power by bombing and killing his own people, and not through votes, please provide an evidence. When people use the word allegedly without concrete evidence, but continue with what was alleged, equates illiteracy. Before the terror attack of 1999 in Moscow, Putin at that time was already made a prime minister and the successor or Yeltsin If truly Putin came into Power like you said the west will surely parade it to every eyes on earth. Mind you, just like the u.s, Russia classify's alot of documents, and incidents since the days of it empire, this is nothing new of the modern day Russia, where you can't see deep into their government because they're protecting themselves from their enemy the u.s (CIA). Your second point on what's Russia interest in kiev can simply translate to: 1. National security: Russia simply can't sit back and allow the u.s to stage nuclear weapons in kiev, just like in 1962 were the u.s simply can't allow the Soviet union to stage nuke in Cuba. 2. Protecting it nationals: For 8 years the government of kiev have been publicly carrying out ethics cleansing on this modern day, in a very barbaric way, committing mass genocide which was widely criticized by the msm until self interest changed the narratives. We remember what happened in 9/11 and how the u.s responded. 3. Denazification: We can remember vividly what happened in WW2 when some part of Ukraine under the leadership of Stefan Banderá, fought alone side the Nazï against Russia, which led to the death of over 27 million. A man who was supposed to be hated is now being celebrated, called a hero, streets where even named after him, statue where erected for him. Today he's been worshipped, tell me are these not enough signs of Nazïsm in Ukraine? Except for some folks who don't understand or see things in the military perspective, but those who do, regard the Russia ground forces as the best in Urban combat because of the little civilian casualties recorded in this war. Today Wagner poses even bigger threats to the west, we can see that in the way they reacts. Talking about economic gains from this war in Ukraine, you should take a look at Ukraine resources maps and tell me if the stupidity of Ukraine is not costing them their economic prosperity. Waiting for me to tell you if am a u.s citizen or disproving me to tell you if i am, is a no no for me. As an experienced user of the internet, especially in a faceless forum like NL, telling you who i am, where i am, where I'm from or what i do is a big NO from me. The second emboldened sound like one chubby kid in the neighborhood who feel entitled to every good thing without working from it If only you knew what the policy outside home have done to the u.s you won't make this statement. You can boldly call the u.s an empire but you forgot to understand how empires are made, formed or build. Empires of built on the sweat and blood of another nation. If you feel my support for Russia is evil, then you should know I'm a man who hates absolute power, forceful monopoly, and hegemony, if any nation have this characteristics then you're welcome to a multipolar world and de-dollarization. The third emboldened is why you need to look deep on the saying: "Your true character is revealed not by what you do in the comfort of your home, but by how you carry yourself and act outside its walls." - Ralph Waldo Emerson"True authenticity is not confined to the walls of your home. Carry the essence of who you are wherever you go, and let your actions shine as a testament to your unwavering character." - Mahatma GandhiI can go on and on. Look, am not an hater of the u.s, it is undoubtedly one of the best countries in the world if not even the best. "America cannot be a beacon of democracy within its borders while projecting authoritarianism beyond them. Consistency in values and principles is the cornerstone of a nation's integrity." - Martin Luther King Jr.
JFK'S cousin who's running for the presidency 2024 made a similar remark. It takes only a morally right people to teach others about immorality. You talk about oligarchs as if the u.s don't have. If truly you want an answer to those questions about Russia, take a trip to Russia to see for yourself, you don't have to rely on what the MSM tells you about Russia. In every form of reporting they try to demonize Russia, you don't need to rely on demonized statements to pass judgement. |

Honestly, you seem quite naïve. I'm not sure why anyone would choose to trust a man like Putin unless it's where they live. Do your research. You should start with how Putin took power in Russia. Then how Russia's economy works. Then the history of Ukraine. In fact research Ukraine's culture. Watch Zelensky's sitcom (Man of the People). It's illuminative. You may understand why Putin is so upset. Then research the people around Putin and their beliefs. He believes the Soviet Union shouldn't have broken apart. Putin wants the dominance of the old Soviet Union. And part of that is the land and wealth of Ukraine, it's ports, it's grain and oil. If you feel you know the answers to all these questions and I don't, then I'll call this debate a comedic one. I don't trust anyone including Putin, same way I don't trust any president, because every president in earth wants what's good for her country and that's the reason why politics is based on interest and not emotions. Every: war, diplomacy, soft power, hard power, are all because of interest nothing more. I leave those questions for you to answer, except for the rulership of Stalin if you think Russia is evil, wait till you hear what your lovely west did to the world. |

I think Jornalists are some of the bravest people in the world. Especially war correspondents who literally put themselves in a war to give us first hand accounts. I don't live in Russia and neither do you(I assume) and I. So, I value the experiences those people there share. You call it propoganda.
Re: Bush and Obama, It's called diplomacy. It's easy to extend a hand and hope Putin takes it moves toward you when you have the biggest military behind you.
Explain why Putin wants to attack Moldova? Are there Natzis there as well. Watch Russian news if you can. It's what they talk about. And as everyone knows Russian news says what Putin wants them to. Did you just talked about a u.s journalist under arrest in Russia for espionage? This is exactly what the media wants you to believe. Now listen. let me take you back a bit. Over the course of Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, six media workers were arrested and now face the potential of up to 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine. Among them was a Russian Alex Rubinstein of RT America. He was arrested along with other u.s citizens for documenting the Washington riot. But because of justice they were not convicted. There's one popular journalist that I'm forgetting his name, still in u.s prison as we speak. In a time of hostility between the u.s and Russia, why will a u.s citizen go deep inside Russia to report if not that he has other plans. Mind you, he was not immediately arrested and convicted, he passed through the normal process of the judiciary system. And the funny part is that, he's not the only u.s journalist in Russia, but there's a reason he was picked out by the FSB for espionage. Your second question really show your level of intelligence, why will Russia invade Moldova. Moldova is home to tons of Russia's ammunitions in the area called Transnistria. Any undiplomatic way to taking control of transnistria by the Moldovans will simply lead to military approach from the Russians, is as simple as that. I don't know why you see things the way you do. If you're more worried about a military map Lukashenko show on TV but you see nothing wrong with the map showing how they'll divide Russia on America television, that my friend is called hypocrisy at it's peak. |

Really hilarious. People like IjeBos regurgitates what the msm publishes without any form of ruminative processes. About censorship of informations, anyone here that lives in the west, (especially: u.s, Canada, Australia, UK) can testify they can't use all Russia's Media networks including on the web and on TV because of censorship. The government branded all Russia's news outlet as propaganda, and this is exactly what Russia is doing to u.s media in Russia. a tit-for-tat move. We can testify of how the u.s has used the msm to destroy nations either through war or coup d'etat. The second claim where he talked about restoring the Soviet union is uproarious. Why do Putin need the Soviet union back. Putin is a man who wants what's better for his country Russia. Past u.s presidents never talked this bad about Putin while they were in power except for Biden. Bill Clinton's remark on Putin "Yeltsin had picked a successor who had the skills and capacity... to manage Russia's turbulent political and economic life better than (the ailing) Yeltsin now could." George W. Bush on Putin looked him in the eye to "get a sense of his soul." "He's a man deeply committed to his country," Barack Obama on Putin "I don't have a bad personal relationship with Putin," "When we have conversations they're candid, they're blunt... and constructive. I know the press likes to focus on body language and he's got that kind of slouch, looking like the bored kid in the back of the classroom..." Donald trump on Putin "I like Putin, he likes me," Trump insisted, telling the journalist Bob Woodward the "tougher and meaner" strongmen leaders were, "the better I get along with them." Now tell me IjeBos: Are you more informed than these men? Where are your evidence that Putin wants the Soviet union back? |
