Hello all, (warning this post is really long )

If you're thinking of avoiding Chicago POE, that's a good decision . If you want to use Chicago, have all the documents in the world and pray hard

Arrived at Chicago POE at about 4pm few days ago. Queue wasn't so bad or maybe it moved fast

When I got towards the front, a uniformed lady asked ; pregnant? (I was almost like are you blind?) , I said yes and she said queue here. I was the only one waiting for that CBP. She passed a family without issues , so my hopes went up

Me: childbirth and vacation
CBP: did you tell them at the embassy you'd be having a baby
Me: yes
CBP: how far along are you
Me: told her
CBP: so why did the plane fly you that far along
Me: my doctor certified me fit to fly
CBP: traveling alone ?
Me: yes
CBP: how about your husband
Me: he's joining me later
CBP: what happened to all the hospitals in Nigeria , you want citizen baby (frowning her face)
Me: Goof healthcare bla bla (totally ignored my answer)
CBP: finger prints and picture ....
Stand over there I need you to go for another inspection

I stood looking very random with no one attending to me . I stood there for like 10 minutes , then she came out of her station and said follow me

Took me into one area, just before entering there , she and another guy said turn off your phone now and put in your bag

Sat down and then officers kept coming out to call people
I was called maybe after 20mins or so

Went into a small room with a lady

Why are you here
Me: To give birth (skipped vacation this time)
How far along are you
Me: told her
Have you contacted any doctor
Me: yes
Can you show me proof of that
Me: yes, brought out my envelope and was trying to fish out doc corr and she said please hand the entire envelope
She starts ,
Envelope had : doc corr , statements of accounts ,receipt of part payments , letter from my office that I'm on Mat leave and how much my total annual is , invitation letter from my hosts , copy of my marriage certificate , Naija hospital medical report, my marriage cert copy....

She reads all line by line, Then she asks at some point , how much cash do you have.
Me: 4K
She asks to see it and she counts it

Then she says I feel you can pay for normal delivery but not a CS section, I said check my statements well and I still receive my salary while I'm away since my leave is approved.

She asks me my account balance and I told her for both accounts,

Then she sees my phone that I brought out while trying to get the envelope and said can I have the phone, turn it on and unlock please

She took it and told me to you back to the waiting area

After like 20mins she came out and gave me my passport , stamped B2 till April 2016.

The guy that told me to put off my phone at the entrance took my passport and said , who stays at this addres (the one on my landing card), i told him.
Are they aware of your birthing plan, I said yes. Another officer came to distract him and he handed me my passport.

I ran o. Picked my bag, wasn't opened at agriculture .

Interview:

called at window 7.

VO: good morning with a big smile
Me: good morning
VO: what are you going to the U.S. for
Me: to have my baby and spend sometime with my uncle (vacation just couldn't come out of my mouth, who goes vacationing with a big tummy)
VO: I see you were denied recently, what has changed
Me: really can't rem what I said, just mumbled something and that the other guy just won't check anything
VO: where will you be staying
Me: my uncle at ** address
VO: what do you do
Me: xyz at ***company
VO: what does your husband do
Me: xyz at *** company
VO: have you contacted a doctor
Me: yes
VO: can I see a proof of that?
Me: put my doctors corr and part payment receipt
VO: what's your total cost for this trip
Me: told her and showed budget sheet
VO: how do you intend to fund this trip,
Me: my savings, I still get my salary while I'm away and my husband will support too
VO: you can have these documents back; you visa has been approved, pick up......
VO: beckons to me, turns off microphone, please pay all your bills and keep proof

Sorry I suggested him o. Thought you were just looking for Dr contact for visa purposes ( visa you've been applying for since April ). I never said he should take your delivery. I shan't be so forward next time. Peace

You can leave the DS 160 as it is if you have submitted. Withdrawing it will mean rescheduling your appointment and that might affect your travel plans. Get another hospital in another state and go with their correspondence. If asked why you filled one state and going to another, say you will be spending some time at your relative's before heading to the other state for childbirth and might go back to your relative's when you are done. That you were unable to get a hospital with an all inclusive maternity package for people without insurance at your relative's location. As you will need this to know what you are up against and not get slammed with unexpected bills. No biggie.

Issue now is I have applied with his house address on my DS160. So can I use correspondence from another doctor in another city for visa interview or can I change my DS160 details after I have an interview date.

I'm in a super mood so i'll chime in so your time is not wasted, & can make alternative arrangements.
1.If you had taken some time to read through, you'd have observed that its been long established that chicago OBGYNS & HOSPITALS do not respond to either emails or accept patient responsibility in absentia....
Look for another location to get hospital & Dr, when you get to chicago, you can then walk into either.
2..This is a PSA; Do not go in through chicago POE, it is a straight F***ed up POE, go in through JFK...

Please i plan to stay with my uncle in Chicago. I've tried to contact advocate sub urban hospital and Ingalls but can't seem to get a doctors letter or appointment .
Can anyone help with Chicago details
