LETS WELCOME OUR NEW INNOSSON MOTORS,FULLY LOADED BUSES AND CARS ENUGU STATE GOVT JUST ORDERED 30 BRAND NEW INNOSON BUSES FOR GOVT OFFICIALS ETC SOON IT WILL SPREAD ALL OVER AFRICA SEE BELOW; Enugu’s Coal City Shuttle to take off with Innoson buses By Moses Akaigwe [igwemos@sunnewsonline] Friday, February 11, 2011 •Coal City Shuttle buses ready for take off Photo:Sun News Publishing More Stories on this Section The loudly popular cab scheme introduced by the Enugu State Government a couple of years ago with cars such as; Suzuki Alto and Nissan Sunny, is set to have a sequel in a highly innovative made-in-Nigeria buses. Christened Coal City Shuttle, the project will officially take off with an initial batch of no fewer than 30 purpose-built long buses from Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited (IVM) plant in Nnewi, Anambra State, as part of the plan to give Enugu a befitting mass transit system. Innoson has also produced for the state waste management authority, a fleet of refuse compactor trucks. Dropping these hints in a chat with Daily Sun Motoring, the Special Adviser to the Enugu State Govenor on Transportation, Prince Emeka Mamah, said Coal City Shuttle would not be just another transport scheme, but was designed to be innovative, efficiently managed and benefit from relevant modern technologies. Prince Mamah added: “Coal City Shuttle is a project embarked on by the Enugu State Government in accordance with a key item in Governor Sullivan Chime’s four-point agenda, which is to give commuters in the state and the Coal City in particular, the best transportation system. So, you can say it is part of the dividends of democracy for the people of Enugu State”. The Special Adviser disclosed that the shuttle would have been flagged off earlier, but for the insistence of those midwifing the project, on ensuring that relevant on-board and ground infrastructure, as well as supports services, are fully in place before the vehicles hit Enugu roads. For instance, close circuit television (CCTV) is being installed on each of the buses with the aim of monitoring daily operations of the vehicles and obviating gate-crashing and other criminal activities on the part of the passengers, as well as possible indiscipline and cheating by the crews. It was also learnt that turnstiles, automated mechanical devices that control entrance into halls, stadia, and other enclosed places, are being installed on the Innoson buses. The barrier will play the dual role of controlling the entry/exit of the ticket-bearing passengers, while at the same time counting them as they board. What Enugu residents and their visitors that will be patronizing the Coal City Shuttle will find very innovative is the cashless ticketing system. In conjunction with UBA, the government has engaged agents who, as is the case with telephone recharge cards, make the tickets available to resellers from whom the intending passengers are expected to purchase them before boarding the buses. Unlike the yellow Coal City Cabs which is being run on PPP (public, private, partnership) basis, the Coal City Shuttle is an entirely government scheme with the Enugu State Ministry of Transportation handling the procurement of the buses and employment of the on-board crews and supervisors. Fully air-conditioned and already painted dark red, the Innoson-built buses are expected to ply designated routes across the city, connecting major streets and the outskirts. Destinations will include Garki, Emene, Abakpa, New Market and Otukozala, among others. Commenting on the choice of locally made buses, Mamh, a prince of the Igwe James Mamah dynasty reputed for the remarkable success of Ifesinachi Industries Limited in luxury bus transportation, said the Sullivan Chime-led state government considered the obvious advantages the Innoson buses have over imported brands, provide reliable after-sales back-up. According to him, ensuring that the vehicles have hitch-free operations through a solid maintenance arrangement is key to the success of the new project. Contacted on the issue, the Chairman of Innoson Group of Companies Chief Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma, OON, stated that the buses are very strong, reliable and durable. He added that they would not have problems on Enugu roads, “because we are on ground with a very solid arrangement for after-sales service and replacement parts”. IVM, Chief Chukwuma, disclosed, had already established a service centre in Enugu with a plan for regular availability of parts. He said.: “You will see that the Innoson buses will do well. The performance of the buses will prove what we have been saying about the vehicles. They are good. Moreover, the type of workshop we have built in Enugu for Coal City Shuttle will be built for any other state or company anywhere in Nigeria that places a large order with Innoson for the buses or the refuse compactor trucks. Also reacting to the patronage of Innoson buses by Enugu State Government, NAMA, the association vehicle manufactures in Nigeria thumbed for Governor Chime, and urged other governors and decision makers at the federal level to take a cue from him. The Executive Director, Mr. Arthur Madueke, argued that sourcing vehicles locally impacts positively on employment, industrial growth and economic development generally. “Therefore, I wish to urge other governors, particularly Governor Obi of Anambra State where Innoson auto plant is located, to emulate the Enugu state example. Obi seems to be a progressive governor, but I do not know why after the commissioning of the plant last year by President Goodluck Jonathan, he has not embarked on any project that will take vehicles from the Nnewi plant”, Madueke remarked. As the Coal City Shuttle and the choice of Innoson buses continue to draw commendations for Governor Chime, the Special Adviser on Transportation is predicting that the scheme would be a huge success in view of the careful planning, innovations, quality of the buses and efficient management. He is hopeful that his experience in running Ifesinachi Industries Nig Limited will be a contributory factor to the envisaged success of the bus transport scheme. “We are hopeful that by the end of the year, the state government and Enugu state people will see the huge benefits of the investments in the Coal City Shuttle”, Mamah stated. |
How can a people eaten up with the gangarin of hatred against the innocent ever progress? How can a people stale with jealousy see the truth? How can a people sick with ignorance ever see the light? How can a people who embraced demonism and lies as exulted culture ever come to the knowledge of God? How can the temple of Idols save? Pity for the perverse Yoruba and fellow Nigerians, |
A nation by its historical antecedents that had repeatedly manifested its lack of oneness through virulent antagonisms and enmity that are ingrained in its ethnic and religious divisions can only choose to groan in the pain of its internal hostilities or free themselves from it. |
The number one thing?What is the basis of the agitation of the Hausa-Fulani community? The ultimate goal of the murderous agitation, which started long ago, is to dethrone the Berom traditional ruler and impose a Fulani Emir in Jos. That is their Jihadist objective.And none have been arrested or jailed some people i understand they might be still dreaming of one nigeria as they say, but its all day dreams,Wake up from low self esteem my friend, |
@alex101 Well said!!! |
Fellow Biafrans as you can all see, we are correct in pursuing Biafra actualization: first, we are correct in the eyes of God Himself; then, we are also correct in the eyes of Man—Humanity; we are correct even "in the eyes of Caesar"—representing the politics of the world-collective, the UN. |
Fellow Biafrans, Self Determination. If one is not working on Self Determination for our people of Biafra today, one is wasting time. As a matter of fact, "wasting time" would be considered a "blessing" when compared to the real consequences of not working on Self Determination for Biafra. Indeed, if "wasting time" was all of the consequences of not seeking Biafra Self Determination at this time, we should consider ourselves all very lucky. |
The Federation was predicated on the perpetual rule by one unit over the others. The Constitution itself contained provisions which negatived the fundamental freedoms which it purported to guarantee for the citizens. Thus were sown, by design or by default, the seeds of factionalism and hate, of struggle for power at the center, and of the worst types of political chicanery and abuse of power, |
We congratulate Biafrans all over the world who supported and observed.Sit-at-home call to express our grievance against the oppression suffered by our people in Nigeria and our determination to severe its influence from Biafra. Biafrans resist all Nigerian politicians, policy makers and executives in Biafra against its actualization and are resolved to resist their further destructive incursions into our lives and destiny. Revolutions move down to up. Biafra Lives. Our God must be praised. |

US-based Nigerian turns his rural community into city …Builds houses for widows, schools, magistrate court, police barracks, others From CHIDI NNADI, Enugu Wednesday, February 9, 2011 Justice Obidigwe cutting the tape. Inset: The building Photo: Sun News Publishing More Stories on This Section The natives of Umuchukwu in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State are indeed God’s own people as the name implies. The people have so much been blessed through one of their sons who lives in the United States of America, Dr Godwin Maduka, director of Las Vegas Pain Institute, USA, whose dream is to make his town look like one of the best cities in the world. Thus Maduka whose philanthropy in Umuchukwu knows no bound has turned the community around, putting in it modern facilities and amenities even as he is poised to do more. Recently, the multi-million naira Chief Magistrate Court and police barracks he built in Umuchukwu was commissioned. Prior to the building of the two projects, the US-based philanthropist had built an ultra-modern civic centre for the town. Similarly, he had built the Saint Judes’ pro-Cathedral for the Catholic Church; eight-floor tower for Grotto of the Blessed Virgin Mary; the Rev Father’s house; Trinity Hospital, and the present central market of the town. He had also donated acres of land and facilitated the MSP Monastery, built and furnished standard houses for over 20 widows and the less privileged in the town. Maduka had also built schools for his people and empowered them economically, just as he had provided scholarship awards to Umuchukwu people both at home and abroad from primary to university level. He is still providing for the upgrading of the Immaculate Conception International College in the town even as the provision of many other amenities for the community is ongoing. The Chief Magistrate Court and police barracks were commissioned by the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Engr Emeka Sibeudu, who represented Governor Peter Obi and the Chief Judge of the state respectively amid merry making and cultural display by the people. Commissioning the Chief Magistrate Court, the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Hon. Justice P.A.C. Obidigwe, said he was overwhelmed , describing it as marvelous. Praising the donor, he said that by the grace of the court, peace and tranquility would reign in Anambra State, Orumba South, and Umuchukwu in particular. He pointed out that the judiciary in Anambra State had so much been relieved of its burdens, saying that courts within the district would automatically be decongested as the court session would begin immediately all logistics were put in place. Those who accompanied Justice Obidigwe to the commissioning were Chief O. B. Onyali (SAN); J.I. Igu, chairman, Awka Bar Association; Magistrate Ogolo of Orumba South Magistrate district; and Chief Registrar, Chief M. N. Okonkwo. The learned men had earlier paid a courtesy call on the Igwe of Umuchukwu, HRH Igwe M.N. Ukaegbu at his palace, where the Igwe thanked them for coming even as he prayed that God continue to bless Dr Maduka the philantropist. Speaking, the Chairman, the commissioning ceremony, Sir Izu Nwankwo, a lawyer, praised Maduka for his kind heart towards his people. He pointed out that God has effectively used Maduka to richly transform Umuchukwu as he had put in place all goodies thereby making Umuchukwu an urban area within the shortest possible time. Nwankwo urged the Umuchukwu community to continue to appreciate what God has done for them through Dr Maduka as the sky is his limit in moving the town higher. Also Chief Onyali (SAN) thanked Maduka for building and handing over the court to the government, saying that by so doing he had elevated and magnified Umuchukwu. The secretary of Aguata Bar Association who was represented by S.U. Anyia praised the standard of the new Umuchukwu Chief Magistrate Court, saying that other courts in the area are dilapidating and thus the court at Umuchukwu had come at a good time in Anambra State. The Head of Orumba South Local Government Administration, Mr George E. Arinze also joined the lot who poured encomiums on Maduka at the occasion as he said that the US-based doctor is a special and wonderful person that cares for his people and urged Umuchukwu people to pray for his long life. The Umuchukwu people through their President General, Okey Nwele; traditional ruler, Igwe M.N. Ukaegbu; Secretary General, Hon Obed Ibe were excited as they said that it had become an annual ritual that they must commission one project or the other since their son, Dr Maduka, decided to lift Umuchukwu to greater heights. They noted that in 2008, a police station was commissioned; in 2009, a full-fledged post office with Internet facilities followed, and in 2010, they had gathered to commission a Chief Magistrate Court and Police barracks donated by Maduka, saying that these gestures had made Umuchukwu become the fastest developing town in the state in the last five years. The community, however, lamented that no son or daughter of the town had had any government appointment, making them to urge the governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi to change the trend and give their children appointments. They told the Chief Judge of Anambra State that Dr Maduka had asked for his approval for him to build a befitting high court in the town to help decongest courts cases in Anambra State. In a vote of thanks, the legal adviser to Dr Maduka and facilitator to the Umuchukwu Chief Magistrate Court, Mr Vincent Ottaokpukpu, a lawyer, thanked the Chief Judge for coming in person to commission the court, praying him to see that nothing delays court proceedings in the place. He prayed the Chief Judge to consider the high court request made by Maduka, saying that if the request is granted, the philanthropist would build the court and equip it with the latest gargets. |
Nigeria is a problem that can only fizzle away when its solution is applied - The dissolution of the behemoth cultured in ethnic hatred and religious violence. The devil's den waiting to be ravaged by justice. Biafra demands that its right be respected. Nigeria must evacuate its illegitimate institutions from Biafra. A reject nation that its day of reckoning surely comes. |
B.K DEVIL i see your kind all the time, i don't debate with illiterates with there mind full of hate go and find your level!!! |
Biafrans and neutral observers must recognize the passionate hatred and exhausrive energy spent by Nigerians against Biafrans in the internet. this obvious malice can only help confirm what Biafrans have ever been saying - Nigeria is an evil country because its inhabitants and supporters propagate and seek to promote its myriad violations of Biafran humanity. The call to split this country has long been justified. |
Is that not intriguingly interesting to observe a Yoruba tribal psychopath traumatised by the simple existence of NdI Igbo and Biafrans that he has been for almost on a daily bases on his computer keyboard for years exhibiting hypertensive obsession and Igbophobism. It is shocking and reveals the depth of ignorant hatred lodging in these kinds of people against the innocent. |
The Igbo fought with sweat and blood to win Nigeria's political freedom. They labored to win the freedom of Hausa, fulani, yoruba, chamba, Angas, Fulfulde, Jukun, Etkywan, Kpan, Mumuye, Agatu, Basa Gbagyi, Gbari, Bacama, Bade, Kanuri, Marghi, Ebira, Kakanda, Edo, Esan, Okpameri, Iyayu, Arigidi, Egun, Tiv, Igede etc had got hatred and savagery in return. Where are their humanity? Nigeria awaits the inevitable, |
How Ironsi was killed, by his ADC By PETRUS OBI, Abakaliki Monday, June 28, 2004 • Senator Andrew Nwankwo Photo.Sun News Publishing National Index Senator Andrew Nwankwo from the Izzi clan in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, was a captain in the Nigeria Air Force before the January 1966 coup that made way for Major General J. T. U Aguiyi Ironsi to emerge as Head of State. He became Ironsi’s Aide-De-Camp through the recommendation of Brigadier George Krubo who was then in-charge of the Air Force and subsequently supervised the late Head of State’s security. Capt. Andrew Nwankwo (rtd) said he was to die with his boss, but for fate. He was present when both Ironsi and Fajuyi were shot dead. Tracking the 61-year-old former ADC down in his one story building residence in Abakaliki was not as difficult as getting him to recall the events that led to the death of his master 38 years ago. He would start by taking you down memory lane when he served as a courier to late Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia, "I was manning the octopus-a helicopter that carries 105 artillery gun and six other machine guns. "So when Ethiopia was at war with Somalia in 1964/65 we formed the defence group of the emperor, we also formed an attack force. When the emperor is going to the frontline to see what is happening, we ring him round to clear the way for him". It was part of these that Ironsi saw and handed over his security to the young captain. "It was cool working with Ironsi, he understood everything about what I should do because he had commanded the UN forces in Congo, and that exposed him to the type of people he needed". The coup Recalling the events of that night, July 29, 1966, Nwankwo noted that they were in Ibadan, "we had a small detachment of 106 Artillery, Commanded by one Walbe from Plateau" The Head of State had the previous day hosted traditional rulers from all parts of the country in the Ibadan Government House. "He wasn’t feeling quite well, he had a knee problem and had to go to bed early. "Lieutenant Sanni Bello was the army ADC, and we were very close. So, we left that night to go and look out and came back late. Lt. Adamu who was the ADC to Fajuyi, Sanni Bello, Walbe and myself, we all slept together in one room that night". "At about 4a.m the telephone rang, I picked it up and that was Adeola, the then commissioner of police, Ibadan he said he wanted to speak with Ironsi, I said I was the ADC, he said he wanted to speak with him because there was a coup and he gave me some names Orok and two others that had been killed in Abeokuta. "Immediately, I made a mental picture of it, and I knew that it was the northerners that were responsible. So, I handed the phone to Ironsi and they talked. I then alerted Adamu and Sanni Bello and said look, there is a coup and the trend is this way. "Bello assured me that if it is his own people he will protect me, because, there was tension in the land such that we knew a coup was imminent. So, we agreed to protect each other depending on where it will be coming from. I later discovered that Walbe who was sleeping with us was part of the coup; he later became ADC to Gowon. "Around 5:30 we heard gunfire, then Ironsi had called Col. Njoku to tell him about the coup. As Njoku was going out, he was short at, but he escaped with bullet wounds. It was Njoku, who was the commander of Lagos Garrison that alerted others outside the Government House, Ibadan. "Fajuyi later sent me outside the government House to find out what was happening. I met Danjuma, who was then a major and he was my friend. He pretended he didn’t know what was happening, he was asking me, and I said I didn’t know. While I was trying to go back, one sergeant from Benue almost shot me, but Danjuma stopped him and spoke to him in Hausa. Danjuma later told me that he would like to see Ironsi, so that he could tell them what to do. "It was then that Fajuyi came out to find out what was holding me, and there inside the Government House Danjuma ordered for his arrest and mine too. That was when I saw Walbe. Then Fajuyi asked me to take him to Ironsi so that they will obey him, that there should be only one person in charge. So, I took them to Ironsi, and major Newman, immediately he saw Ironsi, he seized his crocodile swagger stick, and then they started asking him about the January coup, he said he didn’t know about it that he only agreed to be Head of State so that he can restore confidence and normalcy. It was immediately they arrested Ironsi that they turned violent". The road to the valley of death They marched us down, Ironsi and myself, to where Fajuyi was. They used telephone cable to tie my hands behind and my legs, with a little space to walk. Same they did to Ironsi, but they removed his shirt, he wore only trousers, they also tied Fajuyi. Ironsi was in a Land Rover, Fajuyi in a mini bus and myself in another bus. They drove us towards Iwo Road, 10 km from Ibadan, there was a small forest were they stopped, marched us to the right hand side of the bush, Fajuyi was leading and as he tried to cross a small stream, he fell down, the soldiers were unruly, it appeared some of them had for the first time taken Indian hemp, so when he fell down some of them started beating him. My escape As Fajuyi fell down and they were beating him, Sanni Bello came to me and tapped me and said, we could do something now. It was providence, may be I was not destined to die. I took a few steps from them and jumped into a nearby ditch, all in a split of a second, Bello came and stood by the ditch and was shouting that I had escaped pointing at another direction. So the soldiers ran around that direction shooting into the bush, and when they felt they must have killed me, they shot Fajuyi and then Ironsi there, by the side of the stream. So Bello made sure that he was the last to leave the place. The ADC, who was later elected senator in 1983 stated that the former Head of State could have escaped if not that he wanted to make sure that there was no bloodshed. He said if he sacrificed his life and prevented bloodshed in Nigeria, it’s better for him. Even his chaplain urged him to escape but he said No. Also many of his officers who were contacted instead of taking action ran away. The ADC denied the prevailing story that Ironsi was tied to a Land Rover and dragged along the road. He maintained that he saw Ironsi and Fajuyi shot dead. "They shot him on the chest and it was a burst, so he would have died after the first shot". The crocodile staff It was a swagger stick, which he made after his name Aguiyi (crocodile). It was in the Congo, when he was commanding the United Nations Forces, the Indian troops were to land at the Lumumbashi Airport but the Cameroon gendarmes went and blocked the place with trucks, so that the Indian soldiers will not land, so, he used a Land Rover and with the stagger stick waved as they were shouting, he was eventually able to convince them to remove the trucks. Many attributed that feat to extraordinary powers in his swagger stick. But there was nothing in it, it was just a stick. Ironsi was not fetish; he was a devoted Catholic and attended mass every morning, even the day he was killed. Nigerians should not forget that northern state of nigeria practicing sharia laws already have an agenda to islamised the whole country in that way boko haram and other terrorist organisation can control the rest of us,There is a word that says when you are eating with the devil make sure your spoon is long enough when troubles come's you can leave the spoon and save yourself is bad enough that other tribes in Nigeria didn't see the rain coming now the rain is pouring everybody is looking for cover.Revolution moves down to up Biafra Lives, |
The Provisional Biafran Government has been effectively set up. It is the duty of all Biafrans to stand up for their freedom. Launch a relentless non-violent protest throughout Biafra to the local, State and Federal "representatives" in Biafraland to now make Biafra's Freedom a first and urgent priority. Biafrans must record events and demand a prompt, civil and legislative process towards attaining the goal of Freedom. |
Dear people of Biafra, with respect to the aforementioned, we stand in no ones way of folly and evil; we will not accept that anyone should stand in the way of our getting into Biafra. Anyone attempting to stop us will be ostracized, actively ignored, discounted and side-stepped, relegated to a nonentity status Above all, there is the issue of security. Our lives and property in Nigeria are not secured. Our people are not safe in Northern Nigeria. When there is a publication considered offensive in Denmark, it is Ndi-Igbo that are attacked in the north even when there is no problem in Denmark. That is very important to us as a people and it is unacceptable to us as an organisation, |

@alex true talk, |
Nigeria is a fool's paradise, a jester's haven where members of the looting class use divine and spiritual paradigms to help perpetuate the poverty syndrome. In Northern Nigeria, the Emirate system creates a large poor class who accept their poverty as divine will of God. To this class of materially disadvantaged people, the Emir with his flock of cattle, companies and bank accounts, is the redeemer to whom they must flock to receive material relief from hunger in the case of jos the same thing keep going on and on for so many yrs innocent souls spills on that land is too much they need to ask for forgiveness not to the victims but to GOD, |
Islam is a religion spread by violence. Mohammed, the protagonist of this violent faith fought 48 wars and of course, on several occassions, advocated this approach in dealing with "infidels." Religious-inspired and faith-driven violence all over the world today is almost entirely initiated by Moslems. Others fight in self-defense and hardly in the name of their faith. Islam teaches, encourages, approves and commands violence against "infidels, |
