If you must use your masters transcript, be prepared to defend your reasons for additional masters which is not really bad.

Your transcript is the handy (student copy) unless you are requested to provide official transcripts. But mine was a student copy

@duchess, @justwise

The Effect is that you will have to pay IHS for 2yrs.

Placement helps boost your CV and chance of working with the company you got placed to.

POF is based on 9 months. POF includes your outstanding balance of tuition plus the living expenses!

MERCI!
Eumaca:
Please going for a program with a professional placement, does it affect decision on visa? Will the POF be calculated by 2years? Does it have any advantage over normal 12months program?

Form A Update
Form A is an application form designed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to pay for service transactions (invisible trade). Form A is electronically done and does not require your presence.

It can be accessed via

https://www.tradesystem.gov.ng/

Form A is the cheapest means of payment for international students.
Form A is not really easy and it is always advisable that applicants start on time as it may take about 15 working days or more and the processing time depends on the bank. Some banks may take about 30 days or more depending on the already existing queue.

NB: Form A is not only for new students. Returning students abroad can use it.

FORM A SERVICES

The prevalent services it’s utilised for are:

- School fees

- Medical bills

- Training Courses

- Mortgage and others

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR FORM A

1. Offer letter
2. Degree Certificate
3. Invoice from School
4. School bank details
5. Letter of Authorization to withdraw (may be typed or hand-written containing your signature)
6. Passport Bio page
7. Student's ID card (returning students)
8. Residential Address (returning Students - not quite necessary)

9. BVN
10. Your Gmail must be linked to your BVN

N/B: If you fail to provide any of the above documents, you will be rejected. Again, CBN charges N5,000 per form A transaction.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE

- Visit https://www.tradesystem.gov.ng

- Click on the Form A floating button

- Click on Sign Up

- Input your BVN ( your Gmail will pop up in a cryptic format)

- Log in to your mail and copy the code sent to your mail and input in the text area at tradesystem.gov.ng portal.

- Select your password

- It's advisable to use Chrome in order to save your password for future access

- Click on Form A and follow screen prompt

- Remember to select YES on " available for Forex.

- Make sure you provide input correct information from the school and provide a genuine information.

- Make sure you monitor your progress to know if there's a request from the processing bank.

Stages Involved in Form A

1. Adb_Reviewer: This is a bank officer who assesses your submitted informations and if deemed correct, will recommend for Approval.

2. Adb_Supervisor: This is also a bank officer who Approves the recommended information by the adb_reviewer.

3. Adb_disbursment_reviewer: This is also a bank head office officer who assesses the required recipient's details and the amount required to process your application. If he finds everything satisfactory, then debit is processed.

4. Adb_disbursment_Supervisor : This is the final stage. The bank officer do verify and confirm the debit and term your application successful.

NB: Some banks may leave your application on ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER level even after transaction is completed. It's not a problem at all. All you should bother about is your TELEX copy which serves as an Prove of payment.

Again, Form A can be processed from every part of the country but you must be a Nigerian.

Down Points

Form A is not the only source of payment. There's black market whose rate is not friendly but is faster.
Form A is a secured means but it might take time depending on the processing bank.
Again, there are some charges outside CBN and Tuition fees, it's advisable to have extra N15,000 because it was my experience.

Note: Starting your Form A journey on time is an advantage.
For tuition fee around £4,000, you can save upto N900k using Form A.

For VISA? If yes, it's a PREREQUISITE. VISA is at Lagos or Abuja. Even TB test is same Lagos and Abuja. So you can only apply from Enugu
Chiamaka206:
Okay. I'm in Enugu. Is it compulsory I go to Lagos for interview?

You will print POF from one day of deposit. (eg if you deposited on 15th August, if you wanna print your POF, you will need to print from 16th)

Is it free to help process the admission or they charge?

It's all your choice. Withdrawing is also good. Just do it on time. January 2023 is here
Teniloluwa:
I wasn't offered admission, the mail sent to me stated ( we are unable to continue to process your application for September. if you are interested in continuing with your application for either january or september to defer on the form) but that particular application doesn't have my passport, because i collected my passport after the deadline. so that is why i asked if it is best to just withdraw that application and re-apply.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Mattmich(m): 9:24pm On Aug 03, 2022
You can use any bank of your choice. But the bank must operate under CBN for your POF to be legit. You can use access to pay via form A and use UBA for your POF
Ollymama:
Please is it compulsory to use the same bank for FORM A and POF or it can be different since some banks process form A faster as i am considering opening an account with the faster bank for the sole purpose of tuition deposit via Form A?

Hi everyone, please I'm having an issue on the TLS website.

I have selected and paid for a self-service appointment on August 29.

Now, it took me back to a page where I can track application, amend appointment, upload etc. I clicked on "upload" to start uploading the documents myself, then it redirected me to a log-in page.

I tried using the same log-in details I signed up with on the UKVI website, but it's saying invalid details. Does anyone know what's happening? Thanks.

What if you don't get an offer again?
Deferring the offer should be ideal solution. If you got an offer without a passport, you will see the passport as one of the conditions.
Defer it please.
But your decision is your choice!
MERCI!

Hi guys, so i need your help with something
i applied to the university of Derby for Fall and it was rejected due to the demand for the course.
Now i want to apply for spring and i would like to know if i can withdraw the previous application because my passport wasn't attached, also would it be advisable to wait for 28days for the school to withdraw my application or do i withdraw myself in the form attached which was sent by the school so that i can reapply
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Mattmich(m): 4:52pm On Aug 03, 2022
Keep your money intact and remove your mind. It can take 3 weeks more or less to get debited. Though luck may follow you.
Which bank is that?
GIOlayomi:
Please house, I need clarity on something. I started my Form A yesterday, upload my docs today for tuition deposit. Now when I log in, it's in ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER, please does that means I might be debited soon. Hope I'm on track?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Mattmich(m): 3:58pm On Aug 03, 2022
I don't think there's any university listing form A as its payment method. Form A falls under bank direct transfer.

Secondly, if you're out of the country, you can use Form A. Form A is electronically done and your presence will not be need. But make sure you have the required informations and documents for Form A.

Comparing First bank and Gt Bank, it all depends on individual. But first bank would serve me better. Gt is everlasting wait.
N/B: I am saying about these banks based on the information from this thread. It fluctuate. Everything depends on the queue waiting ahead of you. As for me, if you're ready, Unity bank and Ecobank are the fastest for now.

MERCI!

@chisimdili1986 @offwego @Mattmich @Promoter2 @CowbellY Thank you all for your reply, I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

I'm preparing my application for Uni of Greenwich and I checked their website and noticed they said their preferred method of paying tuition is through western union world pay.

For those who have paid tuition deposit or full tuition, please is it possible to pay it using via Form A ?

Also which of these two banks is best for Form in Nigeria, Firstbank or GTB and is it possible to use form A if you're outside Nigeria but have naira in your account, I mean is it done over the counter or online?

I'm sorry for too much questions but I would really appreciate an answer biko nu

Hello Nairalander, please anyone with first-hand experience of settling down in UK with dependants?
Going to Bournemouth in January with spouse and 2 kids. I would appreciate anyone with the experience to share on how easy or otherwise to get settled as a student with such dependants.
Someone advised I should go first and bring my dependants later. Is this a better option? Thanks.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Mattmich(m): 10:50am On Aug 03, 2022
For UK, the POF is 28 days
thelonehermit:
Please can someone tell me if when applying for visa at the embassy, I need 3 months statement of 28 days like POF for CAS?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Mattmich(m): 10:38am On Aug 03, 2022
Well, if the CAS is ready before the 30 days of POF elapse, then you can use the same POF but if otherwise print a new POF of 28 or 29 days. Printing the POF then would eliminate the lump sum from displaying. If you are required to explain your source of income, be prepared because no one can make decision for ECO here. ECO has the right to request for anything. But if you have been working, you will have to attach you payroll if needs arise. But don't fake things o. If you fake stuffs, 10 years ban follows suit. But not all schools require POF for CAS.

As for cheap schools. There are many schools in UK with tuition below 20k.
Nottingham Trent University
Northumbria
Chester University
Teesside University
Glasgow etc
thelonehermit:
@Mattmich @offwego thank you so much for taking out precious time to reply me, I really appreciate it a lot. You all are so kind and I already feel a sense of community here in this thread. Thanks so much.

Another thing,

I want to clarify if after showing POF (28 days maturity) to get CAS from Uni,

When I go to embassy for visa, do I also need 3 months statement of account? I know people usually need to explain large deposits, is it necessary if for example you have large sum in your closing statement that has been there for more than 1 month for example? Do I need to explain it's from savings from like 4 years of living abroad in a different country.

Also do any of you know anything about Uni of Greenwich, would you recommend it to someone you know or you have better Unis that are affordable (Masters in International Business, Entrepreneurship or HR) January 2023 intake.

I dey search already but all schools I've seen. so far are way above my budget my budget is anything less than 20k pounds. UCL, and King's College are way above my budget
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Mattmich(m): 10:25am On Aug 03, 2022
The problem is that you cannot enter UK until one month to your course start date. Processing your application on time remains advantageous. It depends on what you want. I am going for January intake, I have paid my tuition waiting for CAS. If CAS is ready I will wait for September steady flow. By October, I will start my journey. I know I can't enter UK until the stated date which the cas will bear which I know is around 9th December.
It's just your decision though.
Jona48:
A friend was advising against it, but I will be adamant in this case
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Mattmich(m): 7:37am On Aug 03, 2022
Actually, I don't think you have a problem. Date will be on stamp and Statement can be used yet.
I stand to be corrected
Ozededes:
Good evening fam

Please I just hit a bump on my CAS processing

I am currently processing for university of Chester

And they said that my Statement of account must have the date it was printed on it, I went to bank (Zenith) today and they told me its not possible best they can do for me is to stamp, sign and write todays date side of their signature. I am worried about this one this

And the second recommendation is to provide academic certificate, I only have transcript and statement of result, this ASUU and Nasu thing is something else, I am currently mailing them about the situation of the strike I am worried asf

I don't know if anybody that currently have CAS from university of Chester had any issue like this or it's just the case worker
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Mattmich(m): 7:29am On Aug 03, 2022
1. Form A is used to pay for Tuition but starting on time is an additional benefit
2. POF depends on the outstanding amount of tuition fee plus the living expenses. Please make sure you don't have exact amount, it's better to have surplus.

3. For lump sum, I have seen advices from advanced persons here stating " print from a day after the lump sum. (ie if you deposited the huge amount on 16th August, then print from 17th August).
Your POF should be 28 to 30 days old on the day of you VISA applications.

I stand to be corrected. I am just a student here
thelonehermit:
Please is it possible to use Form A to pay for UK Uni tuition? if yes does anyone know the exchange rate?

Also if I pay full tuition for 1 year Msc, how much do I need to show for POF and what happens if God forbid I don't get the visa? the school will refund me abi? school in question is university of greenwich..

Also when showing POF for CAS do I need to explain large recent deposits? also for UK embassy is it 3 months statement of account or 1 month? I'm asking cos I will transfer a large deposit from my savings here to my Nigeria account which I plan to use for the visa application

Will really appreciate an answer

No time is early. As for me, I hate deadlines. Do it now.
Jona48:
Gurus in the house, I greet una, a question for the road;
I deferred my admission to January(from September) due to delay in fees payment from CBN but I was later debited today.
1: My school (University of Bradford) requires POF and TB before issuing CAS, is it too early to start the processing since I will be moving in January?
