Well, it's ideal to have your POF for both the MA(already in the UK) and the dependant. The ECO clearing you dependants differ and their judgement differ.
But if you're in some exempted VISA route like some tier 2 visa route, you will be free.

From the information provided, it appears that your bank did not respond to their request. This has occurred to someone who used a microfinance bank.

In my opinion, you should recalculate your Proof of Funds (POF). Your POF should be intact, and your bank should be aware of this.

If you are certain that the available POF will match all the applicants, then please resubmit. If you are comfortable letting us know how much is you've got, just tag me, and I will assist you in the calculation.

Lastly, if you didn't submit any document from Lagos bank, verify if you did submit POF or if you submitted the wrong file.
Anyways, do you syill have the POF intact?

This is my first ever post on nairaland and I will like to be honest with colleagues on this page,

In as much that I can't discourage people from legal migration to the UK, because we are in a free world. But, I can give some free advice based on my personal experience in the UK.

However, if you are coming on a study visa route. Note the following

1) Remember you are alone without dependant.

2) I beg you to ensure you carry 70%-80% of the balance of your school fees with you.

3) Lower your expectations

4) If you get job (20 hour per week) is nothing, remember you are alone. No combine income for you. If you do more hours, the payment/number of hours is linked to your NI and they will know.

5) Technically you can get your school fees back while on study visa no more. (As at last year, it is possible cos dependant will push more hours for combine income). But not anymore.

6) It is a serious immigration offence when you applied for next visa (PSW or tier 2). Someone just got his psw visa denied cos of 4 extra hours.

7) You can't change visa status until you finish your program.

Please note as at today the current exchange rate of Lemfi app is 1670 Naira/ £.

9) Make sure you are loaded with Naira for pounds exchange.

Am not saying coming to UK is bad, am saying be prepared, and it is a long term investment.

My take.

My 10+ years old son just got his child dependant visa. Though I applied for him and his 17+ years old brother but his brother is yet to receive his visa. We are waiting anxiously....
Application was on 17th jan and my 10+plus years old son visa was approved 18th according to the letter and we are only receiving this letter today.
We are praying to God this week my older son will get his visa too.

Around November 2022, a lady lost N1.93m to those guys on telegram. Be very careful with your hard earned money

1. I don't think your first question matters a lot.
2. From my experience, the date of birth (DOB) for your parents should be minimal. However, it depends on the magnitude of the error. It's advisable to always input correct details. It would be so easy to know if you state the error for us to understand.

The outcome will justify the error

You need to sign the Home office consent. Follow the instruction and o the needful. Use it as part of your supporting document

For your children to join you, you will need the following:

Evidence of your relationship with the child, e.g., a birth or adoption certificate.
A divorce or marriage certificate, if you are a single parent and your family name is different from the child’s.
Consent for the funds to be available for your children's living expenses. (This should be provided by the person who has the funds in their account.)

It's advisable to keep your money until your visa is approved. The level of visa strictness is alarming. Therefore, keeping the money, as it's part of the tuition, is recommended. Withdrawing it is at your own risk

For now, the IHS is £470 + (470/2) = £705 (for a 1-year course).

Note: The IHS fee will increase by around 60% from the end of this month. Starting from January 31st, a one-year course will cost £1,035 + (£1,035/2) = £1552.5.

Honestly, you need to be patient. You are not far from the truth. Employers stopped hiring around the middle of December, so finding a job now is challenging. This happened last year, and now everyone seems to be doing better.

Warehouses barely accept part-time positions, and it's challenging to secure one. As for care jobs, some employers might require UK experience, while others are willing to train you on the job. You might receive callbacks from those who unfortunately couldn't offer you a position earlier, seeking your interest from March this year. Don't worry; there's no rush.

My previous CAS was cancelled because my visa was refused, but upon the successful administrative review, the decision was overturned. I Informed the school about this development and they issued me with another CAS. Would UKVI be aware of this or I have to find a way to inform them?

After overturning the decision to refuse my visa, repaying IHS fees for my application to be reconsidered and school reissuing me with a new CAS, I made paid mail enquiry to know the status of my application as it had been more than 30days, and below is the response I got from UKVI....

"Thank you for your enquiry."

"I can confirm we are now in receipt of your IHS payment and we are now continuing to work on the application, I can confirm that we will conclude the decision as soon as we are able to. We cannot give a time scale for when the application will be concluded but you will be contacted once it has been. We appreciate your patience and understanding."


My question is; what does the word "conclude"
as used in the mail imply, does it mean visa has been approved but waiting to be concluded?, I don't get.
