Politics / Re: Is It True That Anambra, Smallest SE State Is 3x Of Lagos State In Size? by maximilano: 8:23am On Nov 28, 2017 |
What has this got to do with the survival of the common man? People are busy thinking of how to make an improvement to their well-being and to humanity, some people are arguing over land mass/population. |
Celebrities / Re: Wizkid: For Missing Banky W's Weddings, Angry Fans Blast Singer by maximilano: 12:24pm On Nov 26, 2017 |
We Nigerians love wasting our energy on irrelevant things, things that won't add value to our destiny. And if you findout it'll be the poor ones doing all this nonsense, those who borrowed MB to sub. The people they claim to be abusing for being ungrateful or fighting for have significantly made it. The white wedding was even in SA, u dey inside heat for naija wey light no dey dey abuse person wey fit dey abroad dey enjoy him life. They are all crying more than the bereaved, Even Banky W can't be this mad. Na wa o 1 Like |

Politics / Re: 2019: No Automatic Ticket For Atiku, Says PDP by maximilano: 10:33am On Nov 25, 2017 |
Atiku doesn't have a political stronghold, he always wants to ride on an already built platform. Being rich alone cannot win presidential elections, most of his supporters are supporting him because of what they are getting from him not because they are die hard supporters. Unlike buharis Northern supporters who don't need him to give them dollars before they vote him. I think CPC strengthened his political might, Atiku should establish his own party and build from the scratch if he wants to be politically relevant. If PDP fields him in 2019, they've lost before going to the polls. The rejection of APC is not a criteria that Nigerians want PDP back. Smart politicians would take this opportunity to make a statement. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: Abubakar Atiku: A Revolutionary Or Reformer? by maximilano: 3:59pm On Nov 24, 2017 |
Activeman391:I don't care about Buhari, but since you have brought him into the topic,I'll tell you why Atiku is a wanderer and Buhari is not. Buhari left ANPP to form his own party CPC thereby strengthening his political stronghold, CPC even won Nasarawa state gubernatorial polls. A merger deal came up and APC was formed. That makes Buhari a schemer and not a wanderer. Atiku has decamped from PDP to ACN to PDP to APC to PDP. So Who's the Wanderer? The one who strengthened his political stronghold who's own party won a governorship election or the one who has never won his Local govt despite all his cross carpeting. Strategic persistence is different from desperation. |

Somebody who has never delivered his home state in an election wants to be president. He has never won in his ward after the governorship elections he won in 99. Charity begins at home, the rejection of APC by Nigerians does not mean they'll take back PDP. Other options will still come up. It's a multi party system and not a bi party system. Let the wheel keep moving, we'll get it right when the time comes. The Anambra election is an eye opener 3 Likes |

This is a platform where ppl express their opinions which they're entitled to and it is not binding on anyone. This issue is just simple logic. Let me sight an example, in higher institutions there is always a registration period which closes after a stipulated time. If registration has closed and you can't access the registration portal, does that mean you've lost your studentship? It simply means the portal has served its purpose and it's no longer needed for that semester. 4 Likes |
Education / Re: Geology Or Petroleum Engineering? by maximilano: 8:41am On Nov 03, 2017 |
yildaz:You are very right but not in a country like Nigeria. My opinion is that most of these branches of Geology you have highlighted have been taken over by quacks or engineers. For example, construction companies don't usually see it as mandatory to employ engineering Geologists because they feel Civil/Geotechnical engineers can do the job. Same goes for the mining industry, hydrology is even worse every Tom, dick and Harry now drills borehole. The fact remains that an Engineer is an Engineer regardless of the area of specialization, so there are more opportunities for an engineer. Until there is a favorable government legislation, Geologists will continue to be shortchanged. |

This is a good idea and I think it is long overdue. Let the Igbo's start working on a consensus candidate from now. Let them discourage multiple Igbo candidates. Power must change hands. |
