dmcdad: True love exists and will continue to exist till the end of time...

You don't force yourself to refrain from falling in love. Love is more sweeter than honey. The thing here is, it is not a must that one should be in a relationship, especially when you know what you want and it's not coming handy, what do you do? Do you just go by whatever you see around? No! That would be awkward of you. The fact that people are falling in love or being in a relationship is not a yardstick that you have to be in a relationship..

If there is no reason for you to go into a relationship, do you think it's advisable to go into it? Even if you have your reasons and all that, there is still need to look for someone that will complement you and make you achieve whatever goal you have in mind for going into that relationship.. If you can't find someone that will fill up that space in your heart that is void of feelings and emotions, then going into a relationship will be redundant.

So, if love comes knocking at your door, give it a chance. But don't ever force it or try to go into a relationship at all cost just because others are going into it. Do you know if they are even enjoying it or enduring ithuh

Think and act wisely...
Nice piece

@OP ur post is quite wrng, cos u cnt refrain 4rm falln in love, bt u cn avoid nd pretnd nt to b in love. This is a broad thn which has a gr8 deal to do wth perspectv nd understading.
First I'll like to say dt 'faln in love' is a hype. Ovrrated issue. When u fall in love, u'll break ur leg or worse ur neck nd die tongue
whethr fall in love, or u be in love wth smone, true love xists. Nd I believe nd knw dt it only can b kept fully nd acievd in God tru a godly life. Nw, u msnt b in a relationship or hv SEX wth evryone u r in love wth, it's sin nd evil nd deadly (dis is why; assumn dt persns' charactr nd persnaity is disgustn nd ditastable, then a part f u wll b joind nd b wth dt persn,nd d urge wll b strngr nd impossible to resist, dis nw mite turn to hatred cos u mite nw desire d erotic distructv sex bt nt shown d true love to dt persn).
U cant resist falln in love,bt u sure can love more than one women wthout going into a sexual or serious relatnshp wth them. So, NO! Cos evn those dt hv been heart-broken or hurt stll one wy hv thr heart wth d predator/heart breaker, nd even wen they stll latr gt to b in love, mt restrain themselves from lettn themslvs in. Bt in sm cases, d persn mite grown numb, nd dis state is a confusing state whr the persn wll b unable to tell his/her heart from his/her kidney

Commenting on the post. I quickly realised that this is mostly applicable (90%) on agric fowls. Cos if it's a village or 'okuko igbo' (as we call it here), then you'll have a 30% chance of luring it in that manner. It might not even look at you. Even after you might have dropped the grains and moved away a considerable distance, it wll stll be relluctnt to step any closer still.

Day 6 is gone. Today is day 7. The last day for 2012/2013 post-UTME online registration for MOUAU. After today, it's no more; it all becomes history.
The number of applicants has dwindled contrary to my expectations, owing chiefly to the actions of our current Vice Chancellor. In years back, the scenario had been totally different. Thursday last week, he ordered the banks on campus to be flooded with registration cards, this helping the formerly reoccuring situation where cards would finish at the banks and the those ones hoarded will be soled at exorbitant amount/prices. This, is to his credit.
ONCE MORE: If you have relatives or friends, reach out for them, contact them, holla them and let them know that toda is the deadline and they should make haste while the sun shines. Ask them to send in their particulars for registration.

***Reach me with the number in previous posts for registration and purchase of card

WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! PEOPLE! PEOPLE PLEASEEEEEE!!!!

What are we really achieving by running around a steel pole aimlessly following each others back and even now trying to grope for each others throats.
Pro-life, pro-choice, pro-will, pro-anything else, let's go back to the original post; and tackle the issue at hand and not being idiosyncratic and not reasoning or being logical at all. Let's face it in a proper manner devoid of bias or reduced
Original quote:
beblessed: I called my female cousin this morning and was informed she just put 2 bed her fourth child. She is now happily married 2 her childhood sweetheart who put her in the family way about fifteen years ago. When it happened, hell was let loose and infact she was disowned by family members. Only a distant childless aunt nurse her and a baby until she was sent 2 husband's mum. My cousin suffered hardship. The gist is that life has turned better for her and she is doing so well wit her husband, whereas some of us who made mockery of her condition are yet 2 settle down! Am happy she did not abort her now beautiful daugther. How do we make life easy 4 pregnant teenagers, especially in our culture n family?
Unfortunately, the topic "Our attitude towards teenage pregnancy" has a scope quite broader than the single idiosyncratic case our poster used. We should understand teenage pregnancy as one that occurs during teenage. And there can be broadly two types; willful and unwillful, or deliberate or in-deliberate, and something like that...

Day 3 is gone since the official opening of the sale and registration of MOUAU post-UTME screening exercise on Wednesday, 6th June, 2012. However, there's a developing trend. Not based on any statistics but based on speculations; a reasonable number of scratch cards (about half the number that purchased) purchased each day don't get to be fully registered before the following day. This especially is not very good for distant applicants or candidates. Because, come the 13th, next week Wednesday, many if not a majority might be disappointed. There will definitely be a rush, and in such situations anything is obtainable.

WebM.MOUAU:
Recently, especially after JAMB released their results, I've been bombarded with questions from several friends who are prospective students of MOUAU. These questions have varied greatly, however I wish to give a comprehensive answer to all such questions here, but we will still be open to some specific questions.

Admission at MOUAU is based on a competitive quota system. What does that mean? This simply means that during the admission process, each dept/course is allocated a certain number of student slots within the total admission quota for the entire University and these slots are competitively allocated. So assuming the University has about 2,000 slots approved by NUC for a particular session, this number is divided between the depts/courses. Soil Science, Botany, Agronomy may be given less than 50 slots each, while the more competitive Agribusiness, Microbiology, Comp Eng, Comp Science, may be given about 150 slots each. And other depts/courses in order of size and competitiveness. During the selection process, all the students who applied for each of these courses are listed according to the scores they have, in descending order. Then selection is made based on the quota allocated for that dept/course for that year. Therefore if after sorting the names a candidates name falls as the 88th person in order of score for a particular prog that was allocated 50 slots, obviously such a candidate will not be admitted.

Typically, applications received for the progs mentioned earlier ranges around these figures during Post UTME, Soil Science - less than 20, Botany - about 100, Agronomy - less than 10, while Agribusiness - abt 1,300, Microbiology - almost 1,000, Comp Eng - abt 900, Comp Science - over 1,000, etc. These are typical figures. Let me add Civil Engr - abt 300-400. With the explanation above and the figures shown here, you will discover that a candidate who was denied admission in Comp Eng, will find another candidate with the same scores, being offered admission to read Civil Engr. This is because the competition is less heated there. Equally a candidate who was denied admission to read Biochemistry, will find out that the scores of several of those admitted to read Botany/Zoology are much lower than his/hers. And when this happens such a candidate will start complaining and claiming that he/she was denied admission as a result of corruption and bribery, obviously not understanding the way the system works.

I can categorically tell you that the merit admissions at MOUAU are processed 100% on merit. After the merit admissions, then comes the supplementary admissions. But many of our prospective students do not know that supplementary admissions is not automatic. You need to indicate interest and apply for it. If you don't apply for the supplementary admissions at the right time, the result is that a candidate who scored lower than you, but who indicated interested and applied through the proper channels will be admitted and you still find yourself without admission and probably complaining.

This has been a long post, I just hope there are few mistakes and that it is easy to understand, otherwise feel free to ask further questions. You can also join this discussion on FaceBook (http://www.facebook.com/mouauwebmaster/posts/161230840666132)

Lets all have a Great Day.
MOUAU still remains a highly competitive learning and academic environment, as well as administration. Don't get it twisted; there's no place there's 100%, absolute 'no corruption', but in MOUAU, there's a set 'standard'. AND I love it. Starting from their fees to their academic standard... little wonder some call it the 'glorified secondary school' undecided undecided undecided
That's alright, but once you've applied for this school, and you want to finish well in it, then put on your reading cap, your learning cap, and start thinking too, you're in for it, full time or part time. tongue tongue

m yet to have a night where i regret having my son& m not married cos i dont think i can trust any1 to raise my son like he should.

All i am saying is this, we all have different roads to take in this life, teenage pregnancy is not an ideal situation but the truth is abortion is not a remedy. God forbid u ever find urself in such a situtaion anyway, the right approach is to support whatever decision ur daughter makes as a parent, thats d only way her life will not be totally ruined...
OH! PLEASEEE! let's not post things like this that's devoid of reasoning, or proper reasoning, because even you in yourself know that there's nothing lovely or desirable in that path you towed. That you are a single mom now dear is hell. It's bullocks. PARDON me, that child is not happy. He's in the world, and true true, he's in the society, if he's still tender you might not notice it, but let him grow up.

TEENAGE pregnancy is no "CHOICE FOOD" period. It's condemnable. It condemns lives and lifetimes.

one question why the heck are u getting involved in the lives of children when u clearly know u re not going to be there for a while?

secondly just because the kids of those who were unfortunate to date u guys were crying&missing u makes u think they should have been aborted?
children are resilient&v short memories , if u guys would do the honourable things& get OUT of their lives u will be amazed how quickly they would forget all abt u.

u guys re so funny. U take one aspect of the life of a single woman& decide that it means those children should not have been born? Do u have any idea how infinite the light every little baby brings to the world? What makes you the judge of which children deserve to live& which dont?
Getting involved how? By getting their mothers pregnant you mean. Please don't deviate from the original topic, for it can become complex. If a man scampers or not is not entirely his fault, it's the womans' as well.
And about babies forgetting about their fathers, is not entirely correct if not false in it's whole. What of the future? Or do you think of only when they are toddlers? They'll grow up, they'll later get to ask questions, and they'll learn, and ultimately; they'll get to know, and whether you're there or not, dead or alive, he wouldn't be so happy about it. It starves the human soul. It's not in our nature, for a part of him, still will ask questions that partly blame you (i.e. you as a mother, not you 'durobraham') smiley

For one, it's one case in hundreds of thousands. For two; it's not factious as to the claims of; being happily married now ---with happy being very very relative, to a childhood sweetheart ----lets please put aside much film show for reality, claims that the family is peaceful with a supposed heavily sore area if not a severed or epileptic relationship with her family (the maternal family).
If you're trying to say or point or deduce or opine or even insinuate etc in a very infinite way that our attitude towards teenage pregnancy should be one of pity (baseless foolish pity without stern decisions), or sentiments or whatever and therefore condone, or tolerate or try to pamper this demeaning and shameful act, then rethink. If not, it's very very revolting and disturbing that you should think so.
I refute it, and refute it a million times.
So many times I've stayed and I've wondered, mostly as a result of a tiny baby just walked past me in trousers and I know down within me, that sooner than later, in the christian regions and mostly the south south, west and south east regions, ladies will grow up having be be-cultured to be western oriented. This weakens my spirit, and saddens my heart sometimes. It's a misplacement. Nothing is more debasing and more shameful than treating a shameful act with nonchalance and shamelessness and " DARN IT!"
DARN this post! Teenage pregnancy is bad in all ways and the repercusion is long lasting if not for a lifetime. Whether she had the child or not (fornication is a sin, a sin as good as murder, stealing, looting, lying, etc), it's not a fancy thing to get pregnant in teenage, and LORD take me away from this world if it ever becomes "trendy" embarassed embarassed embarassed cry cry
If they get pregnant, strict and decisive actions should be taken, including ones of punishment. We don't need another America in the world, we are done having one already.
Christianity EtcRe: Do Human Clones Have Souls? by maxman10(m): 9:23pm On Jun 06, 2012
Answering to the general topic at hand "do human clones have souls?" I wonder down wthn me if this is an all round, all through atheistic post, which as usual tries to defend and strengthen the person's grave and gross disobedience and outrite rebellion to the law of nature (earth) put in place by God, nd therefore reafirmming hs gross nd disastrous unbelief in God.

A clonned human, as long as he shud live and posses breath, hs a soul. Bt ths cannot answer the question entirely in all it's intricacies nd depth, because e mortals cannot comprehend some entirely spiritual thns, lest we die. Bt we being gods shud be careful dt facts does not not lead us away from the truth, d truth whch is dat "we live by faith, nd faith alone" (those that believe).

For 'soul' is that presence in mind, in acts, deeds, words etc here in d thrd haven i.e. here on earth. For even a tiny ant posseses a soul (it's own kind of soul). Nd ths soul isnt shared, bt is unique, even if that body is alike to anothr body.

Here is a mystery; fallen angels, evil spirits nd commonly 'demons' can posses a body (be it d moons, stars, animals, nd humans etc), nd they'll live takn up that body's presence here. Clones dnt share souls, at all.

ADVICE FOR 2012/2013 P-UTME

Scratch card sells for N2000
So far I think dis year's P-UTME registration & exam duration is the shortest, owing to Nigerian Educational system nd the over-battered school calendar. It's more like a crash post-UTME screening exercise (i.e. Out f the normal).
Over the years, there's always a rush for this registration, nd hence dis years own will be doubled, if not tripled.

If u hv a brothr, relatv or a fwnd tht wnts to go to MOUAU too, nd u stay/live in d town, it's better he/she alone goes to the school to purchase d scractch cards (i.e. Ur own nd his/hers nd as many as to be purchased), nd sends the pin over for u bk home to do d registran thr. The Umudike surroundn and atmosphere is going to be packed nd network might be jammed. So take heed now nd make appropriate plannings nd don't take any rash decisions dt mite bring down much more frustration, stress and inconveniences than is inevitably needed upon urself...
NOTE: You'll very well also save urself some money too
