Politics › Indonesia To Use Chemical Castration To Punish Child Sex Offenders - by maxti(op): 8:10am On Oct 22, 2015 |
Child rights activists in Indonesia on Wednesday welcomed the government’s plan to use chemical castration as additional punishment for child sex offenders. President Joko Widodo had voiced approval for a law that provides for chemical castration for convicted pedophiles, the Cabinet Secretariat said. Arist Sirait, the Chairman of the National Commission on Child Protection, welcomed the proposal, saying: “Indonesia is facing child abuse emergency. “Child sexual abuse cases have been steadily increasing while our children have no proper protection.” Government data showed that cases of child abuse had jumped from 2,178 cases in 2011 to 5,066 cases in 2014. Meanwhile, Social Affairs Minister, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, said Widodo supported castration as a form of punishment in addition to jail terms for child sex offenders. Parawansa added that the president planned to issue regulation containing such provisions. Similarly, Attorney General Muhammad Prasetyo, said chemical castration could involve injecting female hormone to reduce the sex drive of the offender. Under the 2002 Child Protection Law, child sex offences are punishable by up to 15 years in prison and a maximum fine of 300 million rupia ($21,800). dpa.

Valendo: It baffles me why our graduates like to waste their precious time. Why is it that people don't struggle to set up a business or a system that can give them a lot of money. Listen my brother formal education will give you a cheque while self education will earn you a fortune. Stop wasting your time, not even for a job you can be sacked at any time. There are numerous opportunities out there that can make you rich and certainly its not paid employment. So please my dear brothers and sisters think beyond this contract job. One problem I know majority of our youth face today is this "quick rich" thing. Believe me if you can think very well you will understand that its only a matter of time, you will say thank God you were not given any employment letter because most of the jobs out there are total slavery. I have ideas that can make you rich. Feel free to ask me. All of us can do better than this please. I look forward to a day banks will start begging people to work for them. This is possible if only we could think outside the box. Thanks for the advise. Am interested. My mail. Mathswell@live.com |

Romance › Re: I'm 16+, Can I Have A Boyfriend Now? by maxti: 9:40pm On Oct 06, 2015 |
I commend your courage and knowledge. My sincere advise. Avoid dating. Don't keep any special male friend at this stage. Distractions would always be there. Focus more on adding more value to your person why do u need a boyfriend? Am sure you are not set or ready to get married in the next 4 to 5 years. Diamondqueen: So I know you'll tell me school first and face your books. Yes, I know all that. I'll be 17 in two months. I'm intelligent and i do very well in school. Most of you guys have passed through my stage and I hope you understand that this is the stage where you start having feelings for the opposite sex. So I hope this doesn't sound like I'm a bad girl or something like that. I don't want you to say things like "what is this generation turning into?" because I'm very sure it happened in the previous generation and there are evidences such as the single mums that i see that got pregnant then. Long story short, there is a boy i like and he likes me too and he just asked me out. I made it very clear to him that we are not going to get intimate and he is very okay with it. I know you'll say it can happen by accident but i know that the only place we can get intimate is at a lonely place so all I'll have to do is to avoid it. The thing now is that do you think getting into a relationship at 16 is quite okay. Mind you, I'll soon be 17. |

Are u Making sense? With the whole loot, what good has any of them contributed to the Niger Delta? Visit my home state of Bayelsa. An sure you have no idea of what has been stolen. Did any of them empower the youths or at least build any industries that could provide employment? Please, don't make me talk. We need to put aside sentiments and work towards building this Nation. Riodiao: Nigeria a country where is ok to steal if your from the North, but if you steal and from the south its corruption. Abacha stole over 100billion dollars yet buhari said he is not corrupt but madueke has a scandal of $20billion she's corrupt . The likes of Gwarzo, al Mustapha stole over $800million dollar yet today they are free men. Atiku is wanted in the USA for the haliburton bribery scandal and corruption but today he is free man , no attempt of arrest has been made on him.madueke has been arrested but saraki is a free man. If your a son or daughter of niger delta this is a wake up call . Now its madueke, Very soon these people will come to your bed and kill you in your sleep. Keep cheering for apc and this government. abacha's govt was characterised with high scale of looting and crruption yet abdusalami came on board and never one day probed abachas administration.our own brother GEJ came on board and for the sake of unity, prosperity and the fear of been from a minority refused to probe previous administration.GEj came on board and uncovered wide spread stealling, irregularities on how the north has milked nigeria for over 40years. Gej decide to empower the south, allowing them to steal and loot to enrich and empower the regoin so tge future of our unborn children will be secured yet we join this people who want to own it all, rule forever to call GEJ names, taunt Gej.just like Fayose said GEJ gave it all like JESUS yet we chastize him, abuse him.today because of Gej we can boast of multi millionaires in the private sector from the south. Today the south can boast of over 300 professors, something that was unimmaginable in the military era. The people in the south are to ignorant and short sighted , over the months iv painstainkingly read on wikipedia about the cause of major Gen Orkar coup, the aburi accord. To all militants in the niger delta, now its the time to show you were fighting in the interest of your people. We are not a coward tribe, we fight for our right and freedom not even britain could conquer us. Enough is enough. If madueke goes down for corruption then IBB,danjuma, abacha, atiku etc must all go to jail too for corruption. Buhari can take the position on nigeria president but he can never take our freedom! |

I understand your situation perfectly. What I suspect is that she probably wasn't aware of your financial condition before marriage. There is also the possibility that she is into the marriage for money. Was she like this when you guys were dating? If she was. Then am sorry to say that it will take Divine intervention to change her. My sincere opinion sit her down. Let her understand your financial stand ( depending on u, you don't have to say it all, at least let her have a idea) Draw a budget for the house with her. Let it be participatory. Then both agree how much she gets for the upkeep of the home n herself monthly. You can give her the money in installments. Like every 2 weeks. I.e twice in a month.
Best of Luck.

Nairaland General › Soldiers who went AWOL Recalled by maxti(op): 7:37am On Aug 28, 2015 |
I got a call this morning from a Neighbor. He and some of his Colleagues went AWOL because of the way soldiers fighting Boko Haram were treated. He returned to Bayelsa State and life was tougher than he expected. He could barely feed or fend for himself and family. At a point, he resolved to go back, but according to him, he needed a high ranking officer to do that else, he would be court marshaled. He called this morning to inform me that over 3500 soldiers who went AWOL has been pardoned and recalled. As we speak, they are back to training and waiting for posting.

Crime › Re: Scam/ Forgry At NIPOST Office, Who Do I Report To? by maxti: 8:32pm On Aug 27, 2015 |
Galads: Hello everyone, I need help on this issue. My fiancee sent her wedding gown from Germany( dutche post) to Nigeria(NIPOST). This morning I called the customer care and I was given a location to go pick it up. 1hour after that a woman called me to come pick it up but that I have a custom charge of about 29,000 naira to pay. I shouted and insulted her that even the amount they use to send it from abroad is not up to that. Immediately I went there and they insisted I most pay. I requested for a document to show the charges. She brought out a paper and what I observed, the paper was tampered with in their office. The good was sent as personal goods which doesn't attract custom charge so she was told in germany. The woman is feeling like God and I really want to show her, she can't do fraud and still wait for me to be begging her. Pls anybody with ideas on who to report the case to. Attach is the receipt she showed me and I took pictures of it. If you carefully look at it, the blue pen is what it came with originally and am to pay 2100 for delivery. The rest amount is different and was written with a red pen. Pls who can I report to, and am I suppose to pay custom duty for personal goods? Wondering why the amount wasn't written in words. Christianity Etc › Re: Lagos State Is Under Siege - Deeper Life by maxti: 8:08pm On Aug 27, 2015 |
raayah: Organized religion is one of the major causes of the increase in crime rate .
Deeper Life is a major culprit. They encourage their workers to quit their jobs so that they can 'serve god' more. After doing this, they start living in poverty, become desperate and turn to crime.
I was born and bred deeper life. I know first-hand what goes on there. They are very hypocritical. They encourage their members to breed like rats.
How can you encourage jobless men to have 8 kids. I remember one member was arrested for stealing pigs to feed his large family. He was unemployed like the rest.
what of the brothers that were warned to quit their jobs because they missed workers meeting? The stupid one who complied are still looking for jobs today.
Don't let me start with deeper life today.
Organized religion is the major culprit for crime. I feel so sorry after reading your comments. I begin to wonder what sort of background you are from or what sort of "deeperlife" you attended. I was born and bred in deeperlife. Can't remember any doctrine of the church that talks about all you are saying. I have traveled the world and I can tell you am proud to be a Member of deeper Christian life ministry. |
Romance › Re: My Opinion: We Ladies Should Stop Visiting Guys. RAPE Is Real!!! by maxti: 8:52am On Aug 09, 2015 |
classicB: Where do I even start from Is it from numerous cases of rape that get turned against the woman??
I remembered back then as a novice in 100L visiting male friends didn't occur to me as a big deal. I can vividly recall 3 cases of 'escaped' rape.
The first guy was touching me awkwardly and I did resist him, though he later told me he could have had his way .
The.second case looks like it too but the third guy already held me tight against his bed thank God he heeded to my pleading and allowed me go.
What if one of these 3 guys turned out to rape me? I'd have been a victim of rape, and worse of it would be that nobody will believe it to be true, especially the guys, they'd probably say things like "she seduced him" "she initiated the sex" "she brought condom along" "no evidence since nobody was there "
I put it to you guys that an average Nigerian girl have been a victim of rape/escaped being raped simply because she went out innocently to pay a visit to her supposed 'trusted' guy friend.
This doesn't make sense no more, if we can't trust our Nigerian brothers then who can we trust?
This same guys come here to complain about girls coming to visit them with loads of friends, why won't we come with loads of friends when we know there's a condom waiting to be used on.us
I have personally stopped visiting guys since 3/4 years back, it's either you agree to meet me in my parents house when everyone is home or you meet me in an eatery
I read it here sometimes back when some guys were making gest of a girl that claimed her male friend tried to have his way during a.visit I dint believe my eyes when I was seeing comments like "did you expect prayer session with him?" "you think he wants to preach abi?" "you think you went there to play games?" so these guys now see it as norm to rape an innocent female visitors?? One way or the other they just look for excuse for raping a girl only to turn it against her.
I don't know what it feels like to be raped but I do know what it feels like to be 'near rape' it's nothing good, it drains you emotionally and psychologicaly. Most of these raped victim get scared of telling close relations because they are using all their energy to get back what is lost, i told nobody about what I experienced either.
Idk what else to say, but i know prevention is better than cure. I pray God deliver us from these animals disguised in human clothing
This kinda thread needs to be on fp Mods should do the needful I See NOTHING WRONG WITH What she has writen. Desperate measures needed..... |

1. Not being honest with your partner 2. Flirting 3. Chatting on the Internet with someone of the opposite sex (Sex chat) 4. Spending time alone with someone else 5. Confiding in someone else 6. Downloading pictures of hot babes 7. Placing your family or kids before your partner 8. Buying a house, land without telling your partner 9. Hiding your pay slip from your partner 10.
