Yes, you have to tell your side of the story but you can do that without violating your privacy or his privacy by sharing all your convo from day one.

To be sincere, from your conversation as shared by you, you show some maturity and handle the situation to some extent very well.

It is obvious from the story you shared, your friend or ex-friend (Jay) has a different agenda and you also have your own agenda.

I just believe as adults (which both of you are, I presumed), you can or should be able to handle this matter differently.

The truth is the privacy was already violated immediately my name popped up in his thread. The moments he made it look like 10k was a problem to me when he knows it will never be.
I explained to a person on one thread why I had to show some unnecessary part of the conversations.
He made it look like 10k was a problem and since my conversation with him showed otherwise I definitely had to share them.

He his been extremely childish towards the end and lack maturity in the light you painted him from your story.

However, I will suggest you take down the WhatsApp and other private conversation you had when the going was good which you used to tell your story.

Walahi I'm not going to take it down, despite having this proofs on here I still have people who are still calling me names, what then will happen when I take down my guard?

I would say he his a great disappointment to us (Male) as a gender.

If he had also called to apologize as claimed in your story and you have accepted the apology honestly, I think the best thing to do, is to move on.

On his behalf (I don't know him or his moniker), please forgive him and move on. Also if possible, take down the private conversation, if truly, you have accepted his apology.

He apologised and I accepted his apology but that isn't how it's done.
The apology wasn't on here, he called to apologize to me on phone while the deed has already been done.
If he had created a public thread to tender his apology then I can say he deserves full forgiveness but since it's just between us then I need to keep my guard up. I know what's up with Nairaland, this is my 10th year on this forum. I know a lot trust me.
