Number 1 you are a high school teacher, why will your dad want to sponsor an high school teacher?? Why will he want to spend to much on a high school teacher?? When you finish your masters degree will you still be a teacher??
Number 2 I think your Dads business is not really a business the vo thinks can sponsor you. Most times the it is good to package your self before you go for an interview. I felt your graduate assistantship would have helped you get the visa but you sounded like an intending immigrant.

Me: I am going to the United States for my masters degree in Wichita State University Kansa.

Vo: Do you have a family in the United States?

Me : No but I have a distant relative

Vo: I see you have a scholarship, who is paying for the rest and what does he do?

Me : my dad he is a business man and he owns two hotels

Vo: what will you do with your degree

Me: I would come back and take the lecturing position which is being offered by my alma mater

Vo: the system is slow but take the paper and make sure you are with your I 20 when you get to the United States the customs will ask for
