Thanks guys now am relaxed ,i think its got to be ABU PG site undecided any info on receipt of transscript on your status guys?

This was how I found out the status of my transcript. First, I went to my former school to inquire about the transcript before going to ABU for the pre PG test. I took note of the date it was mailed to ABU.
Secondly, after the test, I went to the School of Postgraduate Studies ABU and on inquiring, discovered that it was delivered. Case close but fervently praying for success.
So, you must device a way of knowing your transcript's status. Sometimes, the people in those offices don't really care about anyone, it's mostly about the money.
Blessed yuletide to one and all, plus fruitful days ahead.

Aftermath of our exam,let's discuss something more important (I.e admission).
I heard dat VC instructed all d dept to finalise their admission/list b4 Xmas

You mean that they were mandated to prepare the lists and make them public before Christmas? Well, the most important thing now is for one's name to be shortlisted whether before or after Christmas, New Year, Easter etc.
Best wishes y'all.

Jos on my mind! A hearty thanks for the best wishes, y'all. Finally done with the qualifying exam. Made up of two sections: section 1 - essay writing; section 2 - fill in the blanks. Nothing from undergraduate days; more of current affairs and knowledge of course applied for.
As observed earlier on, they were more interested in the registration fee. They didn't check or ask for anything since it won't be their lost.
Thanks for the prayers.

Guy, have you tried calling any of the numbers posted on the PG webpage? It's a good place to start. Or if you live near by, or have someone who does they can help you find out from the department.
Also, check the link I posted above, it leads to the other thread.

@Harzan: the good Lord bless you with excellent success. Finally, the mystery is clearing. However, what documents do we need to present at the exam besides the exam fee?
Asper the harmattan, we are so used to it here in Jos.
Thanks bro for the education. Best wishes.

@Supo thanks i appreciate,but i got lost somewhere in your explanation undecided a copy of what am i to take to my department(as advance copy?) i know how to go about requesting my school to give me or send my transcript to another school. My challenge is how fast they can do it because i filled and submited my ABU PG E-FORM just yesterday(which was the last day for submition) and in order to catch up with lost time i want my transcript to be delivered as soon as practicable so i was thinking if asking my sch to send it myself will be advisable THANKS BRO SUPO share your thought once more!

Bro, no need sweating yourself na. You need to just relax. If you can, go to your former school yourself with the Transcript Request Form which you have downloaded by now, no doubt. As you apply for the transcript discuss with the people in charge the possibility of you taking it to ABU yourself.
By the way, I'm sure you know your former school's policy on transcript processing.
For instance, my former school, UJ, doesn't give applicants transcripts. The applicant is mandated to supply recipient's address, choose/pay for any courier service and UJ takes care of the rest. But, even with that, those who know their way actually collect their transcripts themselves.
I think that ABU is only interested in your original transcript, so, how it gets to them is immaterial.
My thoughts though.

so, your own exam fee is 6k, when all others are to pay 5k. It's OK. We shall see when we get there. My own message didn't even include bringing writing materials, so I thought it may be CBT. But let's wait and hear from those that are writing today.

Yes. I was surprised when I saw people here quoting 5k as exam fee while mine says 6k... departmental difference maybe. Fingers crossed though as I pray for smooth sailing for those pioneering this exercise. Like you said, we, definitely, shall see...
To our success!

I've been looking for a thread like this [I even had to create one], since I got the invite for the test on 15/12 from the Dept of Theatre Arts; exam fee is 6k.
This is very surprising considering that nothing about a general qualifying exam was mentioned all through the application process except for one or two courses.
However, the text msg is silent on what I'm required to take to the exam except the fee, date, venue, time and the importance of the test to securing the admission.
Well, I pray that all the mystery will be revealed, once those who write tomorrow let us benefit from their experience.
There is a serious lack of information from ABU about this. I pray for everyone's success.

Please does anyone know anything about FOOD HYGIENE INITIATIVE OF NIGERIA? A friend came to me with their appointment letter which states that he is employed on Grade level 7- Step 3, that he should pay 30k as training fee by 6/11/2015.
It was the 30k that caught my attention as being somewhat odd—this being neither a workshop nor a seminar. Now, I can't find anything about the organisation online. It claims to be NGO.
Please help out...

May I ask this seemingly simple but totally ignored question:
How many of those who had physically been to Jimmy's and met him in flesh, and chatted with him, and transacted with him, and picked up items from Him had remembered to ask him Lagtech's real identity, real address, real account info, "nameless" shippers' name and addresses etc?

Now, if anyone remembered and did ask, what was Jimmy's response in words and in "body language"?

To the lucky few who got full or part refunds, what medium was used and who did it, from where?

Also to you, MOD in charge, in your next chatting and emailing session with Lagtech, besides giving you dates upon dates, and NL handles upon handles, he should simply tell you these:
His real identity, address, shippers's names and addresses. Anything else, MAY just be a luckyless deep—merry go roundabout—beating about the bush—waiting for godot—endless dark tunnel—freak nightmare circus for those affected.

Lagtech may, yet, be taking everyone affected for a much longer bumpy desert ride.
Hmmmmmm...

It is good to see that the thread is gradually picking up. I only wish that, this time, it's for real and not some cruel mirage.

However, like @Resourceman's obobservation, I believe that you're not going about it the right way; @SamBalogun et al have complained of being ignored or receiving ambiguous responses from you. Remember, this was how the initial decay set into the thread, and business, livelihoods, aspirations, emotions and reputations etc were disrupted and murdered.

Now, I don't know exactly what triggered the current flurry of activities here but you are encouraging many to dare to hope and trust in you again. I hope that those fragile hopes will not be dashed to smithereens again.

Having said that, I believe that almost everyone whom you owe, has mailed you their legitimate claims (in response to your call), which you must have verified from your records.

Now, put up a big notice board against one of the walls in your room, make a print out for each person of the following, in excel sheet and paste on it:

1* names of all your creditors (real and NL names);
2* initial amounts, part payments, full payments, balance;
3* items ordered- types and quantity;
4* replacements - types and quantity;
5* etc

If you sincerely mean good this time and truly want to make amends, the essence of doing the above is to be able to attend to and give everyone what is deservedly due to them. Since you know whom you owe, what you owe and what you have; instead of coming to NL to advertise, select a batch of people, base on similarity of item on ground and items ordered, mail them and let tnem decide whether or not to accept replacements. You'll then need to do that again and again until you clean up your mess. You can testify to how some people rush here to make claims while others rightly complain neglect.

So, you may wish to refrain from further "public" advertising for now, not until you successfully clear or reduce the huge backlog of orders/refunds. But advertise through private media to the parties concerned. This may sound tough but damage control and image redemption are never easy.

This is just a piece of advice. Take it? Leave it? It's all yours to call. You'll agree that patience is a virtue that has found newer definitions here, on this thread.

Shalom! May this end well.

This reminds me of the noise "they" made about withdrawing the number on the jersey won by Okwaraji, the day he died on the pitch, playing for Nigeria.

So I thought, maybe, just maybe, the committee setup for that is yet to submit its report...

However, where are the well-meaning, influential people in our society?

Well, God's speed to her.
