Steven Pratt completed a 30-year prison sentence and returned home to begin his life anew. Upon returning home to Atlantic City, New Jersey, his family held a party to welcome him. Steven was 15 years old when he was sentenced, and 45 when he was released.

But a violent history would repeat itself all too soon. Two days after returning home from jail, he killed his mother. Tears!!

Neighbours told the Press of Atlantic City that his mother, Gwendolyn Pratt was "kind and impeccably dressed." She took a 6am bus to work every day without fail.

No one guessed that she would lose her life less than two days after her son got his freedom.

A man from Texas saw armadillo and shot at it three times with his 38 revolver, but his own bullets bounced back and hit him in the head. The man was airlifted to a nearby hospital. The status of the animal remains unknown.

In another development, a man from Georgia accidentally shot his mother-in-law after targeting armadillo. The bullet ricocheted off the armadillo and went through a fence and the back door of the woman’s mobile home before hitting the 74-year-old woman, Carol Johnson, as she sat in her recliner.
