Jonesjoe: please fellow nairalanders i really need your help and suggestions now. am a 400 level student of uniport and trying to process my kid sister's post utme. her jamb details do not show in the school data base while trying to process her post jamb. i am confused right now and do not know if the problem of her jamb details not showing is from jamb or the school data base...............please i need fast suggestions on whatto do right now. she scored 210 in her post utme

last yr dey paid 70 to 80k.as sch fees sha. Dey also paid 30k for acceptance and compulsory hostel accommodation fee of 20k. Dat shud be 120 to 130k.last year though.dis year wud be unique.

Tobexin: All this thing being said isn't a lie but it's not official yet. Everyone knows the truth is that the school wants the money in which they will get it but have it @ the back of your mind that uniport is unique and will remain unique..unpredictable, kaleidoscopic and polychromatic..do all you are told but for the lectures it. May be postpone but it's not certain until it appears on the website

It was stated in d so cald website dat clearance ends on d 20th of december. Up til now dey av nt started physical clearance. U wan tel me sey students go forfeit dia admission? Abeg stop dis readers ar leaders tin. Bottomline remains dis is naija wer tins ar adjusted to suit d masses. Freshers pls dnt be misguided tins wud be adjusted. Ok. Freshers can go to sch and face d problems. Cos d management says so. I bet if u ar part of d management, u wud tel d students to stay at udss secondary sch. Class’ on December 4
or face being sacked.
With the deadline
extended to December
9, lecturers are no

resume duties as

day ultimatum issued

Minister of Education,
Nyesom Wike, on

The Executive Secretary
of the National
Universities Commission
(NUC), Professor Julius
Okogie, told journalists
in Abuja on Tuesday
that the ultimatum had
been shifted to enable
the Academic Staff
Union of Universities
(ASUU) carry out the
burial ceremony of
Professor Festus Iyayi, a
former leader of the
union who died in the
line of duty.
In a bid to lay to rest
the issue of non-
victimisation that the
striking lecturers had
stressed in a letter to the
government before the
ultimatum was issued,
the NUC boss stated
that all lecturers, who
would resume duties
and ready to work on
December 9 would be
paid their full salary
arrears.
The public universities’
lecturers have not been
paid since they
embarked on a
nationwide strike on
July 1. They have, by
invoking the non-
victimisation clause,
demanded that all the
arrears must be paid.
He, however, pointed
out that the leadership
of ASUU, at the end of
its meeting with the
president on November
4, had agreed to call off
the strike after several
resolutions were
reached which did not
include the new
conditions recently
released by the union.
The union said it did
not add any new
condition but only
emphasised the non-
victimisation clause,
which states that no
member of the union
should be punished for
being part of the
ongoing strike.
It claims the
government was aware
of the clause and called
for the payment of the
salary arrears.
It has also insisted that
the government deposit
the 200 billion Naira
revitalisation fund for
public universities as
agreed with the Central
Bank of Nigeria, before
the strike would be
called off.

dont allow journalists to mislead u. I can see a light at end of d tunnel. Its true dat wat dey are demanding is somewhat outrageous. From wat i learnt, d mata has been resolved. Goodluck jonathan has approved d so called outrageous demand. If u choose to be misled by journalists whose means of livelihood is telling coordinated lies, ur choice. Just a Mata of tym or shud i say hours remaining for d strike to be officially called off. Any oda tin u hear and believe is ur choice
