Please I got refusal for my SOWP within 3 weeks.. Please what and what do I need to do.. Please help me, below is the ODN
I have reviewed the application. The compensation (monetary or other) indicated in the applicant's job offer and their assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for the applicant (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). Financial documents on file have been reviewed. The applicant's personal bank statements show a history of low to modest balances, followed by a recent lumpsum deposit attributed to proceeds from a property sale. The property sale document for the land and building has been noted. While the applicant's prior land purchase document is on file, there is no evidence confirming ownership of the building portion, which raises concerns regarding the actual source and legitimacy of the funds presented. In the absence of satisfactory documentation establishing the source of the funds, I am not satisfied that the funds presented are genuinely available for the intended purpose. The applicant's business account has been noted, as well as the spouse's proof of funds and tuition payment. However, given the unclear source of the funds presented, the spouse's ongoing study plan, and the family size, I am not satisfied that the applicant has sufficiently demonstrated adequate financial resources to support the spouse's continued studies and the associated expenses for a family of four during their stay in Canada. Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application. |

ATTAHDYE: If the property belongs to you as an individual, there is no need for you to pass the funds through the company account before transferring it to your personal account.
Try to avoid long stories as much as possible. You don't know what mood the visa officer will be in when reviewing your application. Thanks I wanted to explain that the money was sent to my business acct because that’s the account I used for business deals and use for large sum.. Also since part of the money will be moveable to my personal acct, it will make the VO believe cus they know some pple pay for POF.. |

Pls house, will it make sens to sell landed properties and the funds was deposited into your business account, before you later transfer it to your savings, and then use both accounts as proof of funds?
Note that i am the Director and also own 60% share in my business and I have all the CAC documents up to date |

amnotapervert: IRCC generally expects you (the applicant) to show enough money to cover your living expenses and your children’s expenses, in addition to supporting your spouse while she studies.
I do not know the exact amount, but to be on the safe side, having around $40,000 CAD should be more than enough in my opinion, since with two kids, expenses can add up quickly.
Thanks, she haven’t gotten a work cus she’s resuming Jan 5th and I’m planning to apply Jan 28th… I don’t intend to waste time before applying Hopefully, your wife is working her allowed 24 hours per week to help support the family application ....she can submit her T4 and pay stubs as proof of employment and income to support application |

[quote author=amnotapervert post=137308046]The problem with cases like this is that you’re not explaining your particular situation clearly, which makes it difficult for anyone to give you a “magical” figure, to be honest.
This is roughly how IRCC will view your case for Personl Annual Living Cost (CAD) No fees included:
Main applicant (student) $20,635 +Spouse / Partner + First child + Second child Total Living Cost $42,543 CAD/year (minus your tuition fees)
So, if your tuition fee is around $35,000 CAD for the entire program,

My wife is already in Canada and now I want to apply for SOWP with my 2 kids How much do I need to use as POF since my wife is already there |

ATTAHDYE: It is very important that you answer all the questions truthfully.
You most declear that you have been denied a visa application to Canada and anyother country before!
Hiding this information is a one-way ticket to visa denial. Thanks but for those that have gone through the application process I just want to know what that box means and if I have to tick that box also |

I was previously denied a family visiting visa last year, even though my wife has since obtained her study visa. I'm now applying for a Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP). Could you please advise me on the necessary steps? Specifically, do I need to mention the previous visitor visa denial in my letter of explanation? Should I tick the relevant box, fill and signed Schedule 1 form (Application for Temporary Resident Visa - IMM 5257B) Please help a brother the guru’s in the house

ATTAHDYE: I will answer the first question:
The best time to apply is after your wife has resume her studies in Canada, because you will need the following documents from her to enable you to submit your application and that of the kids; 1. Copy of her study permit -which will be issued to her at the Port of entry 2. Rent/Tenancy agreement- to show that she has secured an accommodation in Canada and you guys are not going to sleep in the snow 😴 🙄 😒 3. Invitation Letter- with her house address and phone number in Canada.
All the best. Thanks you very much.. But please who is writing the invitation letter or is the letter coming from my wife and be address to who? |

Hello house, please I need your help. I don’t want to use an agent. I’d prefer to go through this platform by following your guidelines. My wife already has her passport and will be resuming her studies in January. We used an agent for her process, but now I’d like to apply for a SOWP for myself, along with applications for our two children (ages 5 and 3). Please, could you guys advise me on: The best time for me to submit my application; The documents required for the SOWP and the children’s applications; and The steps to apply and complete the application process. Though I operate a business and maintain both a business and a savings account. I run a piggery business. I would really appreciate it if you guys could guide me through the process. Thank you. |

amnotapervert: If you want to have anything to do with IRCC and Canada visa processing, you need to calm down and be patient — IRCC will humble you with waiting. You’ve even submitted already? Haha, brother/sister, please be calm. IRCC cannot be timed — just relax
My first study permit in 2015 was rejected after waiting 4 months. even after doing medicals My second study permit was also rejected after waiting 7 months. My third study permit, which was finally approved, took 5 months. My co-op work permit took 3 months to be approved. My PGWP was approved after 3 months/ 90 days My PR application during COVID times took 10 months.m I think that’s then because they are kind of fast now.:: |

I'm heading to New Brunswick with my wife and two children. My plan is to get a teaching license there since they issue licenses based on the province, and that's where I'll be going to school. I also intend to take the IELTS and apply for express entry while in school, as my wife has a BSc in medical physiology. I just want to give it a try... I know it won't be easy, but it's still better than Nigeria. |

amnotapervert: what kind of approval medical approval or study permit approval ? I've already been asked to undergo a medical exam, which I completed just yesterday. Now, I'm wondering: how many weeks does it usually take to receive a response after the medical test? Also, I'm curious about job opportunities for science teachers in Canada. I’m a certified teacher with both Nigerian and UK teaching licenses, and I hold an MSc in Chemistry Education from Nigeria. I recently applied for a 2-year Master's in Management program in Canada. My main goal is to study, and hopefully, settle there in the long term. |

lara4success: Good day gurus in the house. Appreciate how you have always taken time to solve issues and guided newcomers on how to do it right. More grease to your elbows. Salute!!
I just got a refusal for my study permit application on the ground of finance. I see this as a generic response because I followed every details posted by the gurus here and also from other available resources.
- First off, I run a company with multiple outlets in Nigeria and I pay myself N5m monthly as basic salary excluding other allowances. - I applied for a 2 year PGC program - I am going alone ( I didn’t include my kids and husband) - I attached 2 personal SOA - one has 50m +, the other has 53m+. (Please note that there are no lump sum. All monies were accumulated over time)
- I attached GIC of CA $20,643 for one year living expenses - I have paid one year tuition fee of CA $20,000, just remaining 2nd year (CA$21,000). Receipts were attached - I attached a detailed table of content and financial analysis letter showing that after all payments , I still have a total of CA$92,818.82 in my account (I even quoted the source of the exchange rate info).
- That money will be sufficient to pay the $21,000 for the 2nd year tuition as well as my living expenses and I will still have over CAD 50k left. - I attached my company’s profile, tax clearance and company’s statement of account to show source of funds. I even added each stores Sales Terminal reports to show turnover of sales.
To my surprise , the officer said my finances is not sufficient. The news has left me devastated and I need help on how to appeal this
My class resumes by January

AyoTeeeee: So sorry about this. Unfortunately I got the same response few days ago, after attaching relevant documents, leave of absence at my work place, paying my first year school fees and having about 35,000usd + 10m in my bank accounts which is enough for my living allowance and payment of my 2nd year fees. I was refused on the basis of not providing enough evidence on the lump sum in my account. It’s so frustrating sha Sorry which province did you apply to? |
