Shimbo96:
They should go to G&J PLASTIC along SAGAMU-ABEOKUTA road if they want to see illegal Chinese people in Nigeria and it will amaze you how they use NIGERIANS as a slave in our own country. People there work 10hrs in a day making 70hrs in a week which is against labour law and if you argue with any Chinese Nationals then you will be sack immediately without paying you. I have my evidence just waiting for a trustworthy person or firm to give my petition to. For the record, the hostel for NIGERIANS is full of bedbugs and mosquitoes while those heartless people are living inside luxury. I can tell you for free that every tribe is there hustling because they need the money so for once we should all come together if we want the best for this country... Bye for now.
Though I have commented on this issue some few times in this forum, I intend doing an expose to chronicle the menace of the Chinese in Nigeria.

I used to think 7am to 7pm factory work in Indian factories is the worst thing that could happen in Nigeria until I heard of the atrocities of the Chinese.

No off, no leave, no weekend or public holiday. Poor pay, zero welfare. They are more crooked, corrupt and rugged than Nigerians.

They have a cluster around Lagos -Ibadan express way and have an industrial village at Igbesa, Ogun State.

While I know the NLC is too weak to stop them, an investigative journalist could visit there to expose the rot.

The summary is that the Chinese are on a mission on economic colonization of Africa and they are really succeeding in Nigeria.

The government has really handed us over to them via loans and funding, building and operating enormous infrastructural projects in Nigeria.

In the next ten years I hope the Chinese will not ship many of us to their country as slaves.

We all heard of how our presidential jet was impounded as a result of an issue between Governor Gbenga Daniel and a nameless Chinese company in Guangdong Free Trade Zone, Igbesa, Ogun State.

This is how ruthless and determined they are.

The growing Chinese presence and power over Nigeria is a ticking time bomb that will be impossible to contain when it goes off.

Also, a huge number of them here are ILLEGAL immigrants. In fact, many people use one passport to enter Nigeria.

CareerRe: Guys, Leave Teaching Jobs For Ladies by mctech(m): 1:45pm On Aug 22, 2025
Teaching is a job nobody wants to do any longer in Nigeria.

Even qualified teachers ( NCE, B. Ed) now opt for factory jobs.

This results in very low quality of education in most schools. To give your children good education now, they need to go to standard schools which are expensive, a luxury many parents can't afford due to low-paying jobs.

Bookworm, people have spoken, let me just echo their thoughts.

Oga seek for opportunities abroad, either remotely or even relocation.

You are a hot akara in so many countries. Given your love of research, you can easily get a fully paid post doc.

Your challenge is that of association. You are not moving with people who know about international opportunities hence being frustrated by local opportunities that are beneath you and will most likely frustrate your career.

Do your research on LinkedIn or even on the career section of Nairaland. Let people guide you appropriately.

Best of good luck. I'm waiting for your testimony.
FamilyRe: Is My Wife Right To Ask This? by mctech(m): 11:09pm On Aug 13, 2025
Household wickedness. Envious enemies. Glory killers.

This is the beginning of your wife's ploy to destroy the destiny of that girl.

Agree to this and more will surely come.

And OP since you keep saying you want peace, be rest assured that your wife will play the same game against your very own family too, even against you versus her children.

An evil person will always do evil.

It's a pity.

Is there anywhere you go in the world where there are no fine women? This type of reasoning is archaic.
Every country and race has its share of beautiful and ugly women but the proportion differs.

Arab women are slim and natural models. It's rare to see an ugly one among them. No other country come close.
PoliticsRe: Why PDP Agreed To Wike’s Demands by mctech(m): 12:52pm On Aug 11, 2025
Wike is solidly behind Tinubu, at least for now.

Even if you hand him PDP presidential ticket, he knows that the party has crumbled and will just use it to work for Tinubu.

PDP as a nationa party is gone.

No big deal here. If people that have life-changing deformities like losing limbs could get married then this is a small issue.

It is a challenge but one that could be fixed.

Also, it doesn't affect her ability to function, only her beauty in the eye of the world.

The guy that married her saw hot babes all around before making a choice.

Africans (both genders) do plait their hair and have tattoos

Both of my grandmothers had tattoos

I know one man who had a big weave or I don't know what to call it at the centre of his head like a Chinese monk
Ask the man what the weave is for and you will learn it's for spiritual reasons.

In Nigeria, particularly among Yorubas, the only men that weave their hair are Sango (Amadioha) priests.

Hair weaving for men was never for fashion just like leg chain for women could have deep meaning and origin.

Never be swept away with any tide.
CareerRe: How Indian-owned Factories Are Using Nigerians As Modern-day Slaves – The Truth by mctech(m): 1:03pm On Jul 22, 2025
Indians are saints when compared with the Chinese.

Most Chinese firms have no weekend, leave or public holiday.
Welfare is zero.

Some even do day shift of two straight weeks of 7am to 7pm followed by night shift of the same.

The funniest thing is that the Chinese are making a steady inroad into the country.

The have a cluster around Lagos -Ibadan express way and also operate a free trade zone comprising more than one hundred companies at Igbesa, Ota, Ogun State. Their labour practices should be investigated as a matter of urgency.

Even FG is borrowing money from them and going to them to finance our infrastructural projects. If the details of those deals are made public Nigerians will shout.

The Chinese are steadily colonizing Africa, not through force or war but economically.

And they have NO morality. The Chinese is more crooked and fraudulent than the average Nigerian.

Perhaps they plan exporting the the West African subregion.

I once thought Elon Musk was an American citizen by Birth, though I knew he is a South African by Origin.
An outsider with such power and clout in the US?
No Be Juju Be Dat?
You have the same chances as he does if you are able to find your way to the USA and attain citizenship.

A friend who moved over said that the first thing he saw when he landed at JFK Airport was 'Welcome to the land of opportunities.'
He said that statement is indeed true. Dude is now wealthy. Another person said what he achieved in seven years, he can never get in Nigeria in fifty.

The founding fathers of the country intentionally made it so. The only thing that can limit what you can achieve in the USA is yourself.

Even in politics, the ONLY thing an immigrant can't be is the PRESIDENT.

EducationRe: Three Generations In Wigs: Lady Become Lawyer Like Mum & Grandmum by mctech(m): 4:54pm On Jul 11, 2025
creolehunt:
Unfortunately, Law as a profession is no longer a big deal. It used to be a top-tier profession and highly regarded, but now has fallen prey to political jobbers and corrupt riff raffs.

Even the quality of lawyers being churned out is a huge disgrace.

Hardly do you see any case judged on its merit these days, but cases are decided based on mundane and useless technicalities.
Null points!

If you think the Nigerian legal system is being skewed on technicalities, then what will you say about the American system?

When you say cases are never decided on merit, you are either talking of election litigation or the cases of the rich using money to torment the poor such as the guy who was jailed for 20 years for buying a stolen generator.

The legal profession is much wider than that and it's one of those professions where you earnings potentially have no limit.

Olam bought Diageo (Guinness) and Heineken acquired Nigerian Breweries, do you know how much lawyers pocketed in those deals?

Even with the miscarriage of justice in Nigeria, you don't know what God has done for you if you have a lawyer in your family.

2. Chinese being renowned task masters, how are they treating their Nigerian workers?

3. I still believe they made one big mistake: not introducing their own POS on time.

It's true, especially for the second term.

Yayi actually went around to BEG people to forget their grievances and vote for Dapo.

The pertinent question now is, will Dapo Abiodun support Yayi's ambition or will field his own candidate of Ijebu extraction?

But you can be VP abi? Will Datti-Baba Ahmed turn down the VP ticket if offered? He knows he's no longer in consideration, hence the outburst. He's too loud for someone who failed to win his polling unit for LP.
But the guy is an intellectual if you think about his recent interviews.

He thinks smartly and says what I believe is the truth.

I agree with him most of the time though I have no political affiliation.
