Fitch Revises Nigeria’s Outlook from Negative to Stable
Nigeria’s credit rating, assigned by the top international rating agency, Fitch, was revised on September 30, 2020, from a Negative Outlook to Stable though still pegged at the ‘B’ grade.

Positive events stemming from the stability in oil prices, improving global financing conditions, and the relaxed restrictions on lockdown measures paved way for the revision of the Nations’ outlook.

Furthermore, the rating priced-in the accretion to external reserves due to loans from foreign lenders, restrictive capital flow measures, the partial unification of exchange rates across its varied FX windows amid other negative externalities on the economy.

To place in a better context, an increased or stable credit rating implies that operating conditions have improved, and economic risks have failed to crystalize.

Against this backdrop, investor perception of the Nigerian economy is expected to strengthen. Although, we envisage that Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) will focus more on the FX policy than the rating, hence we do not envision a significant reaction from investors due to the persistent inaccessibility of the capital market.

Please I need an assistance. The stockbroking firm I'm using is no more in existence. No phone nor office to reach them. I approached a new stockbroking firm. they requested for my cscs number for transfer. How will I get the cscs number?
If you have previous printed statement of account from your previous broker, check it, you'll most likely see the CSCS number and CHN number on it.

Alternatively, send mail to: info@cscs.ng
Lagos Phone No: +234 1 903 3551, +234 1 460 1900
Abuja Phone No: +234 9 290 9043, +234 9 290 8750

1. Please which do you recommend Wapco or Dansugar? I intend buying tomorrow morning.

2. I also read that Dansugar wants to list Savannah sugar shares. Please can someone explain how it will affect Dansugar shareholders?
Let me try... starting from Question 2:

Savannah sugar was an acquisition by Dangsugar, think it's more of expansion which should affect Dangsugar positively. The impact may not be immediate but its a plus for Dangsugar.

Now to Question 1:
What timeframe are you looking at?
What's your motive for wanting to buy?
Anyway:
* Both are good fundamental stocks.
* Both required enough patience
* Both still have upside potential
* Good Q3 results will further strengthen the share prices.
* Wapco did some upside last/this week......depending on market situation, it may keep moving, good 3rd quarter result will increase investors faith, positive sentiments and most likely, create higher highs.
* Dangsugar, there's the need to watch how events unfold with the new listing for bargain entry, though currentprice is relatively okay.
* Choose your choice. cheesy

NB: Opinion is not based on figures......bearish period not captured.......chart distorted...... unforeseen event not captured......so I'll like to phone a friend to throw more light on this. smiley

From a dividends yield point of view, I'd like to believe that Wapco at any thing above 12 naira becomes a stock for trading, no longer for dividends
Okay. That was just my opinion.
Consequent results will take care of things.

OBAGADAFFI:
Yes,

For me, Zee is one of the best stock to hold for longterm, because price appreciation doesn't work with Zee.
You're right.
Price appreciation works over time but holding for long term is the best......in my opinion.
........but at 17, Zenith still have upside potential cos the gap with GT is almost N10 now.......just have to find a way to close it.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f):
Wapco: getting attention at 15.......in as much as BUA is moving, we should expect Wapco to also keep moving......

UBA: Bargain hunters on queue......waiting for the 6.05/6.10 cross dealer/seller........will he show up today? We are watching....... grin

Zenith: Bids outweigh offers.......are the 5M gang at the bottom of offer table on mission to crash price so as to buy more? We wait and see......

**Pls do not take as any form of advice**

I am surprised you don't know Zee all these years.
Zee doesn't move like GTB, infact Zee always reverse when dividends is announced.
That's why it one of the cheapest stock on the NSE.
I know Zee and we are saying the same thing. smiley
