Just watch your entry and you dont invest and go to sleep, you have to keep eye on your investment and be reading news around your stocks.
Whe you make some profits you can sell, keep the fund to enter another stock that will likely go up or you wait for the same stock to fall in price, then jump back in.
You can be following this thread too.
All the best.

With Covid issue, I think this company really tried by paying dividend..
This is one company with consistent dividend payment but unpopular. It's a stock for long termers.
Pa Emma & Co group of company. grin

Lucky you, I exited at km 13.40. At current 14.10 it's only 7% away from the year's high, I hope you will japa and not rely on the km20 gamble.
Do you know from which skyscraper Wapco came down from?
The journey may not be straight but the stock will benefit the patient and long termers if it continues on the right track.

So your believing in our Wapco now... shocked cool
I blvd in Wapco before, but at a time my faith was shaken when it stayed on a spot. grin
I later blvd again, especially when I saw by myself that it will go up. I even mentioned it here that time, that I won't mention the price I saw cos it will look unbelievable to many eyes.
The thing is, Wapco will still pass N20......
When? I cannot say.
Which year? I don't know. grin

Hope you're registered with a broker already. If not, that's the first Step.

One of my ogas already told you one, Wapco. It's going up now, this stock stayed for long in the N11 region. Still have more upside but see if you can still get below 14. If you see at 13.20 - 13.70 range will be good.

Two: FBNH and/or Fidelity.

** Pls note that the pick is based on your range of selected stocks and they are also picked based on basis of dividend payment.
** You can read some pages of this thread from this page back to be able to see other recommendations. Ask questions before buying them.

Also note that knowledge is very important in Stock trading. You have to read, understand the basics and keep updating yourself.
One of my bosses, @infinitisi will even advise that someone should not put a kobo in stock without first acquiring knowledge.
Just know that I am in no way an expert, I'm learning too.

I said it. That 2milliin and 4million offer will disappear once wapco reaches 14. They never wanted to sell they just want it to look like there was offer, so that they could buy more at low. This is really good.
All the stocks that guy was aiming at will still fly.
You know, he was placing offers at days high and kept changing the price each day........that was enough to suspect he wanted to buy more at cheaper price. He will place offers and still place bids. grin
Also saw the 2M & 4M, he quickly removed it. grin

Didnt post cos I needed more concrete proof.

GTB: 26 now................seems the holdco will have positive and not negative effect on the stock.
The accumulation and resilience of the stock around this time is positive.
With renewed interest and Stanbic staying in the 40 region, GTB will close the gap small.
Think I've said this before...........based on observation of market situation.......
Pls, this is just my opinion.

Nah wa for this Veritas o.
I think you shouldnt give up, maybe you should send the mail with SEC in copy just like some did here.
Also, see if your broker can assist you to reach to them, they always have their person in the registrar's office.
Which broker are you using?

I thought Veritas is one of the good ones?
Anyway, it should be easier going forward.....since they have online platform for e-div submission.
Correction @ the bolded:
It's United Capital and not Veritas.

United Securities now have an online e-div activation system in place, maybe you try and see if there's a section you can check status of submitted form.

Sone short termers collect their dividends on the floor.
May buy and sell before markdown or key-in after markdown and sell when it appreciates later. grin

Yes, na real doctor he be, I asked him before and he answered in the affirmative.
As per the bolded? How does that help in terms of dividends or share price appreciation? I am asking for one of my friends like that.
Thanks for the response. Dont mind me and my oversabi too. grin
As for the tithe issue, tithe paying brings blessings to those who believed in its payment.
In terms of how it assists div/price appreciation, arhhh, maybe coy owners and pastors fit answer you here............but if coy is blessed you get blessed in return sha. grin

I have some cash with me that I am not going to use soon. So I am seeking opinion of gurus in the house on the best amongst these companies shares to invest for a period of seven to eight months: WAPCO, ETI, FBNH, FIDELITY BANK and GUIENESS BREWERY. note, I will be hoping to cash out between March to May 2021. Thanks in anticipation of your opinions.
Back to this question.
* How many stocks do you plan to invest on - is it one, two or three?
* Are you targeting dividend or price appreciation?
* Why the choice of only 5 stocks?

*** For Guiness, I'll suggest you don't go there since your target is 8 mths, breweries will benefit long termers mostly.

INTBREW: Bargain hunters on queue.
** Nigeria opened up "Owambe" parties, brewery sales will most likely go up.
** Before 2023 approaches, Nigeria govt will most likely relax her harsh policies on breweries because APC is already sensing stiffer competition from PDP come 2023 national election.
** Long termers will benefit from brewery sector from the look of things.
** Targetting bottom is key.

** Just my personal opinion. I may be wrong.**

Hi Mcy56, thanks for your response. I have almost 5000 units though. It is not even about the current amount; I find myself questioning if they have been paying me fully all these years because I bought it over 15 years back.
50 Naira, can you imagine?
There must be error somewhere.
With 5k units, your interim dividend should be 1500 less 10% withholding = N1350.
You need to send a mail to Datamax, explain to them that you were short-paid and also inform them of previous ones if there is/are any; that you needed your units/pay history for the past 15 yrs (if you think they've short paid or omitted some payment/bonus issues).
If you're chanced, visit their office nearest to you.

Also check this link to know if there be any bonus issue they missed paying you within the said period..

Seems he don join bargain bidders. If you can't beat them you join them. grin

MTN......crossed at 123.60 earlier. Bargainers sighted at 120 and below......

Low volumes generally.......except in Fbnh so far.

**Updated** FCMB offerer already arrived. Lol.
