Hello house. I think I'm getn fed up wit ds issue of visa. As I posted here in december dat I was denied study visa bcs I went to vfs,I saw someone 2day at d embassy who came from Vfs to certify his visa for his wife's accompanying visa. He told me that he did his PhD visa at d same vsf under visitors permit on thursday last week, and by monday this week he was called to come pick up his visa and was given multiple entry. Same vfs that said they don't process study permit. That apart, I was told at d embassy 2 weeks ago that I can add my two kids to my wife's study permit application at d embassy. On getting there 2day to submit my wife's application, they told her she has 2 options to add her kids: 1. Either as accompanying at the vfs. But in this case, the kids will not be able to attend school in SA. 2. Or to look for school for them and apply for study permit for them at d embassy. For both options,we would have to wait for d outcome of our individual applications b4 this can be done. Presently, we don't have the time in our hands. Both of us should have resumed in our school but due to all these ambiguities.we travel to lagos almost every week, wasting money and risking lives bcs of incoherent information. Please who can tell us the best way to go about this bcs we are planning to go again to lagos next week for d kids? Thanks. |
[quote author=femiaction post=42145433]Morning brother, You have to get your study permit first before you can apply for your kids at vsf. Then conditions is not hard its the copy of your permit and all others documents. Ok. Thanks bro. |
I was told at d embassy to get accompanying visa for my kids at vfs. We their parents are going for study. Pls I need someone to reel out how to go about this again. Does it mean we will travel and leave them behind to come pick them later bcs presently all of us now have different dates of visa application. Confused again. The eldest is 3 years plus. Thanks |
Keneking:Good. Very good |
[quote author=Keneking post=42015339]Form A is CBN directed and all applications are determined as per official rate. The good news is that your Rand application is first converted to Dollars (US) and wired via telex to the recipient. My bank has the last alphabet as it's first word and a new generation bank. Yes I remember. U said so. But u didn't say how long it took |
[quote author=Keneking post=42009936]Collect am for Form A Fill am for Form A Enter all details including fees Include all ya papers including Olevel, BSc,MSc, professional certificates and PhD admission letter. Write am for application letters make Bank for deduct total amount for your acct. Total amount for R20K is $1,250 Submit your Form A to the customer care unit Put am for prayer Lol. The last statement is what I don't like hearing. By d way, R20K ~ $1,250 is on the high side o. It's approx 375K @ 300 naira to a dollar. Or what is d xchange rate now? While someone made a payment for me at 12.23 naira to a rand. If it is that, it's approx 250K. See d difference! What bank did that for u? |
[quote author=Keneking post=41980826]You remember meeting face to face at the centre ![]() Yes, mine scaled through this evening. Very cheap and best option. I am not sure you still remember me. Confirm please. Of course yes. I remember u very well. I will try and initiate mine next week. But I need to know in details how u went about urs. The charges, number of days,d bank etc. They have not sent to me payment invoice too. They sent mail to me to that effect but their attachment was empty. I'v contacted them again. |
House, has anybody attempted paying his school fees by any method aside having someone assisting in paying in SA. Please share. |
Keneking:Not yet. I'm still not convinced with d assurances given to me most especially by Stanbic bank. Any breakthru from your side too? |
[quote author=Keneking post=41575271]Any need to go along with original certificates at the point of submission for sighting or will the admission letter suffice? U may go with them in order to play safe. Moreso, it doesn't cost u anything. But in actual sense, they're not in any position to do that. Me too I'm going on monday 4th to d embassy for my application. Wish ourselves the very best |
@stevetop. Same to u. U're not wit d wrong form. The one I said was 20 pages is an old form. So the BI-1738 with 13 pages is the correct form. But what I still don't understand is whether all the 13 pages will be submitted because applicant signature ends on page 7 while the rest of the pages are checklists. As for SAQA, if your school gave u admission without it then u don't need it for study permit. |
femiaction:Same to u. It shall be a successful year for all of us. Ok that's good. Wish her best of luck. |
Lol at ur last sentence. How many ordinary things are we going to engage spiritual intervention in? Na wa for this country. What other even less advanced nations do flawlessly, the almighty giant of africa makes issue out of it. |
@Femiactio, thanks.Taken. @Keneking,i'v done my own momentum since august.this one is for dependants(my wife and kids)who are due to join me soon. The online payment I was talking about is that there is a website under the payment options of UCT for online payment.when I followed up d site,it took me to d point of entering the amount and card details. My thought is dat if one supplies this details,d amount would be deducted and d payment subsequently made. For the momentum,i will attempt d card payment when I come back from d Embassy in january. The school fees.....that is my headache now. I will make enquiries about d form A and any other option in Lagos banks next week.Infact, initially I thought Stanbic bank is a subsidiary of Standard bank in SA and so they will have a free flow transaction without hassles. I was wrong! I opened domiciliary account with them in 2013 in order to pay the application fee. To my surprise, I had to pay a charge of 17K just for R600. Infact, I'm tired jare!!! |
Compliment of the season brother, that section 6 I just wrote 800k naira equivalent to rand. Payment for what? You don't need to go any bank.just write amount that available in rands equivalent. @Femiaction, Compliments of the season to you too bro. How is the family? Thanks for that, that is clear now.i av 2 payments to make:momentum health plan and school fees.both av option of online card payment. Also, what about d valid return or onward ticket number section?what am I going to fill there bcs I learnt flight itinerary should be booked a day b4 submission of d visa form. Finally, I'm I submitting d relevant pages of d form alone(pages 1-7) or d entire 20 pages? Sorry for the questions,i learnt those people at d embassy are crazy indeed! |
I have d application form for visa to temporarily sojourn in d republic tagged DHA-1738 consisting of 20 pages. Is this d study visa form and are all d 20 pages to be submitted? Item 6 of d form has maintenance /Deportation section. Under it are available funds and valid return or onward ticket no section. Do i really need to fill this section? I visited my Bank yesterday (GTB) and I was told to go make whatever payment with my ATM card. How real is this? |
Hello house. Please what is the current prices (both new and UK used) of BB Q10 in the market and what is the best subscription for it? I'm mtn person from day one but my Q5 has forced me to be using glo line bcs of its good subscripton, resulting to me using 2 phones which i dont really like. This Q10 will be for my wife and she is also mtn person but she is avoiding using 2 phones too. Thanks |
By the way, following d costly mistake of submitting study visa to vsf last week, I dnt want to leave anytn to chance again when I go to d embassy in january. I have these questions: I have d application form for visa to temporarily sojourn in d republic tagged DHA-1738 consisting of 20 pages. Is this d study visa form and are all d 20 pages to be submitted? Item 6 of d form has maintenance /Deportation section. Under it are available funds and valid return or onward ticket no section. Please what do these mean? Finally, has anybody used ATM cards for school fees payment? Is it possible and realisable? Thanks as I get answers to these burning questions. |
@Amucha, I think u need to get in touch with d relevant authorities in d uni. Informing them why u will be coming late. Especially your department(HOD and Supervisor),faculty, IAPO and if applicable, hostel. I should be in UCT by same date too but yet to process my visa. Best of Luck. |
Just as I said in the previous post, we are both gainfully employed and so there is no basis for any form of forgery except d popular NRCs follow that person come from village. I also join in campaigning against forged documents irrespective of whether d embassy verifies or not, so that our image that is always questionable in d international scene will be redeemed. God bless us all. |
Thanks all. Why I'm particularly interested in knowing is that after january 4 of submitting my visa application, I would want to pay our (mine&my wife) school fees running to about 800K out of acc. balance of around 1.5m. Same week, she would want to submit her own visa application. Though I work in a federal parastatal with a regular monthly flow of salary. She too works in one of d states that owe workers like mad! I'm avoiding us submitting d application same time bcs everyone has advised I do mine first while hers follows afterwards. Your views gurus. |
Hello. It sounds a little bit funny though. Does the Embassy truly verify account statement submitted to them? I think banks do not disclose ones account details to another person, even if d person is your blood. This is bcs I want to use same account I used for my visa for my wife and kids in quick succession. Can this work please house? |
[quote author=femiaction post=41162729]AMEN. Thank u so so much for this great words of encouragement. It's just as if an Angel just spoke to me. You rekindled my already dying faith. |
No problem, same here too. May God bless our hustle. But yet to get over d costly mistake I made about filling my visa application at d wrong place. My prayer is that by the time I re-apply in january it will meet up with my early february resumption. By the way, someone was even suggesting I go to Abuja bcs it's easy up there than lagos but takes longer(up to 6 wks). My fear in that is will it come out b4 resumption. I'm just confused! |
@ femiaction, u absolutely got me wrong. I was throwing my mind open to everyone, not u in any way. That is why I don't like commenting on social media like this. About 2 or 3 of us posted in a row and u happened to be d only one responding to us. It's just like when a teacher is asking question in d class and only one student keeps answering. If d teacher asks why it's only a student answering his question, would it get d student angry? Rather to me, it's just a way of challenging other students to live up. That's all. So I don't think I deserve to be hammered that deep by u, neither do I want this dragged any further and ultimately derail d thread. Before I know it now, someone will come and bash me for accusing all of not responding to questions except u. That's humans we are! |
