behati:Thank you, if this is sure I think I can risk it and proceed. |
Hello house, pls I need this answer urgently. I had already created profile and been assigned a reference number by WES but unfortunately got stuck at the point of payment. This is because I couldn't meet up with any of the methods of payment, hence requiring trying other payment options that could result to one more week waiting time. My question is that will the reference number not be changed or the application be cancelled during this time? Those that want to assist in processing my transcript in my various schools are on my neck for instruction to allow them go ahead, but yet they would need the reference number for anytn. Can I give them the reference number already generated while I sort out the payment or I should just wait until the payment is sorted. Please I need a quick response please. |
studyexec:Thanks, same thing I was told on querying the customer care via chat. |
Hello house, I attempted using my GT bank master card for WES payment today and it was declined saying 'Auth Declined'. Please how can I get through this as I'm not based in Nigeria presently. More so I used the same card for a $13 US Dollar transaction earlier in the week. Any advice on this please? |
SlowlybtSurely:@ SlowlybtSurely I'll be 41 in august while my wife is 35 in June. I'v been concerned about the figures though! Then I read about the PNP, how does one get nominated? |
Hello N'landers, I just stumbled on this forum after a long time of recess from another N'lander forum. The other one I was indeed really helped! Please I wish to ask these specific questions about migrating to Canada and your candid advice will be appreciated. My wife and I, studying in South Africa presently (Me- PhD in Electrical, Wife- MSc in Nursing) are planning to start this process under Federal Skilled Worker. We have commenced the processes of gathering all our transcripts in Nigeria for evaluation by WES or IQAS and are in the process of sitting for the IELTS here in SA. My spouse has well over 10 years working experience, degree in Nursing, Diploma certificates in Midwifery and Public Health, PGDE in Education and registration with Nursing Council of Nigeria. I have about 10 years working experience too with MSc and a member of Nigeria's COREN, NSE and world's IEEE. With these few local profiles, plus the huge financial involvement and the stress, - what are our chances in this new pursuit? Also, I read about WES and IQAS being provincial assessment agencies. For those of us who are yet to decide which province to go, - which of these is more suitable to take? Thank yo all. |

staggerlee:@ staggerlee thank you for bailing me out. That's why I don't comment atimes on public forum. But for someone to have applied in all those schools and not granted admission calls for reasoning at all angles. I mentioned that(cgpa) as one out of aggregate of factors that I feel may be responsible. Everyone knows that everyday criteria for admission are going up. Also, I think my lines above are innocuous enough to have been excused from the altercations beneath. But I think it's always good all the time to apply education to our reasoning and vice versa. |
geekybabe:Just as u'v been advised, the gap btw where u're comi from and where u're going is very wide to be sincere with u. Honestly, irrespective of whatever confidence or standard u think u have in your field, when u get down here u will know u have to run on a far faster lane to catch up. To even get to know how to communicate and navigate tru ur daily mails and other high-end resources will take a lot from you. However, they are not what one cannot know only that the time they take is annoying. All the schools u applied to are good schools but my concern here, which nobody has mentioned is ur cgpa (3.21). Don't u think that might also be a factor bcs from my understanding, that cgpa is second class lower. Though I don't know whether it doesn't count here but I can bet you that coupled with nigeria factor, one cannot rule that out. Best of luck. |
Salt river is too far, the location you described close to Shopwright is close to him. meagainstdem : enter jammie shuttle, drop off at main road/Obz and shop abi chop [/quoteThanks guys. I know all those places. But it's expensive in all. If u see the kind of beans I can eat in one meal.....thats around #700 converted to nigeria currency. All those beans they sell at R30 are not more than what I can consume once. So someone can understand what I mean now? Anyways, I will manage till I go back to nigeria. Keneking, I sight u. |
Hello house. Please is there anybody coming to cape town in a months time or going to nigeria and will be back in cape town in a matter of 2 months? I need at least 5 congos of beans please. That gesture will be handsomely appreciated. thank you |
OgaTheTop2:Real temptation in deed. Can staggerlee tell us how d lecturer failed his masters mayb we can learn from this? Seems d equation relating temptation and resistance now is getting to that of inverse proportionality! |
Keneking:I dey o. My mind was with u last week but the load of work swept off my memory. How are u, u still dey? |
staggerlee:Haaa, that Lecturer's case is not ordinary.I will like to hear his story one day to learn from. By the way, I will come to Gauteng one day to see whether what I'm seeing in UCT is a child's play. If it's true, then it means this is where God will start His judgement. Lol |
staggerlee:I'v been in cape town for a month now. If u like women, SA is surely a death zone. If u say d ladies are booticious, it is completely an understatement. These ladies have evrytn a guy can die for in a woman! Honestly, iv not started my research - I'm still observing. I pray for God's grace here despite my wife being with me. Thank God, she too can't hide her feelings. Evrytime, both of us call our attentions to these 'heavy duties'. God help me |
muhaogunlo:Yes I just discovered the ATM works for some stores. |
Hi house, I'm stranded in cape town. I'v exhausted all the rand I changed from lagos and i'v looked round where I can get naira changed to rand in d whole of cape town to no avail. Pls can someone come to my aid as soon as possible? I'm having only R20 with me now. Also, any clue on accommodation? Finally, how do u guys transact money from nigeria in rand and naira. Nigerian govt no do well at all wit all their monetary policies. You are in foreign land wit a fat account in nigeria but you find it difficult to access it. Urgent response pls, I'm fed up! |
Ok, thanks. Staggerlee, I sight u. |
Keneking:Infact on tuesday, she was going from one agent to another quoting prices for me until I told her confidently that she's been following agents. She was later told that SAA office opens by 4pm and had to go 2day. She later bleeped up by not knowing where I'm going when she was asked. I want to try wakanow online as suggested by a nairalander |
muhaogunlo:Ha bros thank you. Man suffer small. Ok I will try d wakanow now and let u know how it goes. I want to ask if I can book that sunday that I want to go? |
Hello house, pls how do we book flight aside through d Internet. I sent someone to SA office in MMIA to make enquiry for me but they refused to grant her audience, saying I must appear physically. She was going to one agent or the other inside the airport, being given different prices. How will I be far outside lagos and will be required again to come to Lagos just for flight booking. Please house advise. |
Keneking:Yes I saw $801 but i used #300 to a dollar to exchange it and it skyrocketed. Maybe that's where I'm getting it wrong |
Keneking:Haa, maybe i'v been navigating tru wrong SAA site. I went to flysaa.com |
Return flight to Cape Town for one passenger is N170K, please check again. Which airline are u referring to? By the way, all the prices I quoted were one way. |
Oga,I don't know about exams taking in the republic. I myself thinking of writing a prometric exam in d republic, though I have list of vue prometric centers in Joburg. I paid 21k visa fee Process involved filling the application form and submitted along with requirements at vfs Lekki phase 1, Lagos, Hotel, a total of about 78kfor 5 nights. Flight via SAA about 132k Cheers Flight via SAA about 132K. Sorry can that be real? By the way it depends on where one is going. I'm going to cape town and the least i'v got for d SAA flight was around 320K plus. Kenyan airline was around 170K while Ethiopian airways was the least at 96k. Anybody wit idea of a cheap flight and d booking procedures. Thanks |
The first Form is the right one. Do print and fill it. They wudnt giv u at the embassy if ur applying in Abuja. Lagos doesn't give either. |
segzy201:At Port Health, by the toll gate of Muritala International Airport Lagos. It's 1K. Go with your int. Passport |
pls where is south africa embassy in lagos? also dis DHA-1738 for visa application is 20pages but some aspect r not clear any idea in d house. It is at Molade Okoya street, VI. At d back of Eko Hotel. Not clear as in what? Not clear in printing or how to fill the information? The form is two: one of 13 pages and one of 20 pages. I think that of 13 pages is d latest one. Though the two are acceptable at d embassy only that d one of 20 pages contains too much of irrelevant questions. I hope this helps? |
I think you and your wife should apply for study visa separately. Then when you both get the study visa. You will apply for dependant visa for your children at vfs. If they are below 5 or 6 years they can't apply for study visa cos they are not of school age according to South African law. Ok,taken. Thank you very much. |
@staggerlee, thanks bro. @femiaction, I laughed wen u were commending someone's contribution on the forum. I ask u, how should u be commended? I'v seen u taking ur time to respond conscientiously to any question asked on this forum. Even wen the enquirer seemed persistent in his questions. You know it almost caused us some breach then. Thank u very much. There is this old saying that whoever that takes his time to wet another man's garden, it is God that wets his own garden for him. More grease, more grace. |
Bros u are giving yourself head ache, just go to the embassy and apply for study visa, you and your wife should apply separately. When u guys get ur study visas, then go to vfs and apply for your kids, any other way is just luck or trial and error. Thanks bro. Meaning that we will apply for accompanying visa for them at d vfs? Will the visa given them qualify them to enrol in school? Thank u |
