sinistyle:u kno i'm a big fan of zamora. I've been followin' him since his westham days. I'm a barca fan but i luv dis fulham team, they've got potential. Clint dempsey, brede hangeland, danny murphy, zoltan gera. They would hav been challengin 4 a top 6 finish had they not sold bullard. It wont be nice if capello doesnt take him 2 SA. Thank god that spurs striker is injured, i pray he doesnt get fit b4 the worldcup so that zamora would go! |
There were these guys, a group, i'm not so sure bout their name but I think its "Ruff, Rugged and Raw". They were in Tony Tetuila's "Omode Meta" track. They were hardcore. They could really rap but they were frozen out because the industry was to immature for their kind of music. |
omar22:Truth is it doesnt really matter where u come from, the most important thing is what you have to offer. Besides the bad antecedent we have with players that grow up outside nigeria, what has Victor Moses done to deserve a call up? Under normal settings, this will not happen. It is like saying Fabio Capello will take Jack Rodwell or Junior Stanislas to the world cup. He has not even gone through the lesser ranks. We have young talents like Stanley Okoro, Uche Agba, Patrick Ogunsoto, Chrisantus Macauley, Rabiu Ibrahim, etc that have not played for the super eagles and Victor Moses will come from no where and get a shirt. What does he really have other than an impressive scoring record for a championship side, Crystal Palace. If he does get called up, i pray he performs well but from what I see, I think it will be yet another wrong move. The same thing applies for Stefano Okaka (Fulham). If Lagerback does his homework well, we wont even remember that these players exist. We can build a team that can post a decent performance at the world cup from the local league. John Obuh built the silver-winning U-17 team in 3 weeks. Over age or not, he was able to bring in cohesion and understanding into the play of these boys which are the basic requirements of building a team. If Lagerback is serious and if the NFF allow him, there's nothing stopping the super eagles from doing well at the world cup. |
ofokaofoki:speak for yourself, mate! |
A dope striker or player is a dope striker/player regardless of where he plays. Ronaldo won the world footballer of the year with PSV. so |
who be ur English language teacher? |
omar22:You want to show me that you know football, right? i'll help u continue. Deco for Portugal, Brazilian, Pepe for Portugal, Brazilian, Bosingwa for Portugal, Congo, Giuseppe Rossi for Italy, partly American, Lukas Podolski for Germany, Poland, Marcos Senna for Spain, Brazilian, Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Sweden, Georgia, Henrik Larsson for Sweden, Cape verde, Freedy Adu for USA, Ghana. The list is endless. @ topic: Omatsone Aluko was our worst player in Egypt 2009. I know all our players were poor but he was exceptionally poor. I dont like the way Danny Shittu plays. I know a whole guys out there like him but not me. He wouldnt make my bench if were a coach. Anichebe was not too impressive in Beijing. Dickson Etuhu was not impressive in Angola. My brother wat do u want me to say again. I believe Victor Moses will tread the same path. |
in your villa omar22:in your village people dont have a right to their opinion, abi? |
wengewenge:this is not a mode rugged thread, more like a "give props" thread. Anyways, I'm givin' kudos to the Thoroughbreds. They are naija's first real hip hop group. I know Trybesmen came before them but the Thoroughbreds did better hip hop. Street hop is a classic. |
no, no, no, no! Most of these players that grow outside Niferia dont really do well when they play for the super eagles. Eg, Anichebe, Aluko and even Shittu. I dont really like his style of play( Shittu). He likes to ballon the ball. He cant pass, cant turn defence to attack. THats why he can make it in the EPL. |
Diamanti. they hardly mention his name. Another is Fulham's Hangeland. Bobby Zamora is an average player, nothing exceptional. Modric?? def a good playa gettin d recognition he deserves, but likening him 2 Messi & co?? Hugo Rodallega?? more or less an average playa
there are 1001 players in the sme level wiv messi, kaka and likes, its all about the media. For example, Luis Suarez( Ajax) scores like every other day in the dutch league but when Fernando Torres scores a brace, he is likened to Van Basten. When C.Ronaldo scores a freekick, the media make seem like it's something unprecedented and when Sebastian Larsson scores a brace of freekicks, they turn the other way like nothing had happened. Modric deserves to rated with the best of the best. Another guy is Joe Hart. Everybody knows he's good but how many think he's the best? To me he is. Sebastian Larsson is another very good player. He's been very instrumental to w@ Birmingham has acheived tjis season. Rodallega proved me right yesterday. Sublime finish against Liverpool. |
Kgdavid:Obertan is a good player. He needs to mature. He is a natural dribbler, check out his one on one dribbles. Tosic was not given a chance. @ topic: Diamanti. He is also an unsung hero. He scored a sweet goal against Bolton last wekend. Pedersen? may be 2 or 3 seasons ago. Pedersen is officially a below average player now. Gary Cahill. One my favourite defenders. He is also good at scoring goals. |
is this a battle or ipawno? i think its a pawno battle. i think baudex has got something 2 offer but simply cudn't stick to nl's battle rules; no papa and mama diss. i dont blame sins 4 his reply. he signed off wit a warnin' though. so no votes |
Matthew Taylor, Branislav Ivanovic, Chung Yong (Bolton). Brilliant players but wil never make the headlines especially Ivanovic who has been outstndin deputisin for Bosingwa. Matthew Taylor is also very good. He plays just like Gerrard and also a dead ball specialist. Chung Yong is a tireless runner and an excellent crosser of the ball and also pretty skillfull. |
LMAO ![]() sinis thinks baudex dissin his momma is puerile so he decided to reply by openin baudex's momma Bleep files. u guys are a bunch of clowns! |
una no sabi anything bout freekicks. How would u mention freekick takers and leave out Roberto Carlos, Andrea PIrlo, Shunsuke Nakamura, Fernando Hierro Hristo Stoichkov, Okocha, Sebastian Larsson or even Drogba? Now i dont really rate C. Ronaldo to be a quality freekick taker because of his technique. He just powers them in. He scores though but there is the aesthetic side to football. I rate top spinners like Beckham, Van Persie, Juninho and Nakamura very highly. They make the ball take a beautiful curve. Thats the beauty of freekicks. But the best is Juninho. Scored 19 freekicks in a single season. Far more than the goals some strikers score in their entire career. Sebastian Larsson scored a brace of freekicks for Birmingham against Wigan |
Fernando Hierro deserves a mention |
Luka Modric (Spurs) and Hugo Rodallega (Wigan). I dont understand why modric is still at spurs. I think this guy is in the class of Messi, Ibra, Kaka and the likes. He is exceptionally gifted. He is always the first player i buy when playin football manager. Hugo Rodallega is also a very good striker but that club Wigan is just crazy. I think their manager, Martinez is the problem. Look at his goal against Astonvilla in the first match of the season. Arguably, goal of the season. |
una don forget Peter Crouch. he's not just the ugliest footballer but also the ugliest man in the world! |
Man. city. They have spent so much |
I think Bobby Zamora is a very good player and doesn't really get all praises he deserve. one of the few english players with flair. Probably because he is partly Spanish. he has not even won an England cap. |
^^ Are u kiddin me? He's okay though. He's highly rated in the EPL. How come no one's mentioning Alan Shearer or Robbie Fowler or even the Igwe - Thierry Henry? |
thought i summed this up already |
For me it is Raul Gonzales (Real Madrid and Spain): He has been a shadow of his real self in the last couple of seasons but to me he is the best striker ever. Check out his records: Highest goal scorer of all time in the Uefa champions league, highest goal scorer of all time, Real Madrid, highest goal scorer of all time for the Spanish national team. This guy is a legend. It's a shame he never won the world footballer of the year. |
@ sinistyle I like the name Sinistyle, it sounds like the name of a rock band. I know you like rock, i read your thread on rock music. I salute your audacity for creating a thread of this nature cause these vituperations, i cannot stand. I think what you are trying to say is that Africa is a hard place to live in. People are suffering and entrenched in all sorts of challenges and for some people that are immune to all these to come out and start singing and praising Africa is quite annoying. The first time I heard the song, in my mind I said "What do you care?" It is easy for them to sing because they dont go through the hustles, hassles and struggles I and the likes of Sinistyle go through on a daily basis. Besides, if we all keep "fleeing the shores"then we are doing ourselves no good because no one will come from out of space to build our nation or continent as it were. When the likes og 2 face or mode 9 sing about Africa, you cant help but be inspired because they have gone through these struggles and emerged victorious. I dont blame Sinistyle for seeing the song as an act of hypocrisy and taking it with a pinch of salt. I feel your pain. brov. |
I agree 100% with sinistyle. After all, words dont express your love you have to prove it. |
