Please which other career paths can I redirect to?...[/quote]u dont need to be sad, the key thing is for u to have a target on when to leave but the earlier the better. what are the skills that u acquire in a bank that would be required in any other industry, answer is non. in banking u either work in operations or marketing. in marketing u just go about running after other peoples money and when u achieve a set target, the goal post is shifted. operations all u do is post credit and debit on a software that a primary six student could do if taught or coached. the other areas in banking include auditors /control, IT, etc

hello, i just resigned from a bank 2 months ago. i left to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry and their is no reference required. the bank does not pay any terminal benefit.he shld just resign and in his resignation and ask the bank to apply his annual leave as his 1 month in lieu of notice.he should NEVER tell the bank where he is going. the banks now have a common platform where people who have running loans in a Nigerian bank are stored. the platform uses NDL, international passport or national id card as a means of identification. so in future if he wants a loan in another bank, the report would come back negative and he would be disqualified.

he should resign and start the new job and pay the loan from his monthly salary. banking in nija is pure slavery so u just cannot compare the two jobs. please just resign and dont have any remorse because the bank would sack u without looking back. Labour should look at the conditions of service in these banks

@idealogy, it is not easy to manufacture oil and gas exp.i needed to quit now and plan my future. i know it is not easy but if u dont plan for the future, who will take kia of u in the future. i tried to hang on but the more i stayed the more yrs i waste

good evening all, i have read all comments on this post and i am really happy that we have ppl that are out there willing to educate ppl without asking for money or gift in return. we are indeed going places. i read geology from futo and i spent several yrs in banking in nija with very little to show for it. i realized 3 yrs ago that i dont have any skill at all and indeed very open to attacks in form of frequent sacking in the banking industry. i went for my msc in envir geology but is yet to conclude. i just resigned my appointment 2 months ago to acquire skills in oil and gas. i need expert advice on the certificate courses to do. i need info asap

the man who calls himself a gov of a state has decided to steal from the unemployed in imo state. the man who said he is a gov has decided to continue on the path he left some yrs ago. there is a saying that a leopard never looses its spots. the gov was once a known obt 419 man and we thought the man has forgotten and repented of his sins but we were all surprised when he showed his true color yesterday in the guardian of tuesday 13th april 2010 where he advertised for 10,000 jobs for imo youths.
why would a gov charge 2,000 naira to give jobs to the people he governs, this is broad day light robbery. i tell all imolites that it is high time we stand up and tell the gov to vacate douglas house9government house owerri). remember the red shirts in indonesia and the white dress in cuba, we can all wear green shirt/ dress in this state and tell the gov that enough is enough.

this is a weak up call to all imolites and nigerians in general. we cannot continue to be silent while our leaders run this blessed country down

the issue of wonder bank is still here with us , they now come with different names like gold package etc to mention but this. the govt needs to do more b/c the truth is that the amount these ppl pay as interest is so high that ppl withdraw their cash from the banks and register for these money doublers. it is high time the cbn,efcc and ndic step in before many more Nigerians are reaped off of their savings.
