I’m an Atheist and I'm familiar with all the major religions –Born a Christian, my Gramp was a pastor. Parent are born again (mother was a Muslim before marriage so I have lots of Muslim uncles and aunts which is common in western Nigeria).

khattab02: In the genealogies in Matthew and luke Joseph didn't beget Jesus. All those verses are wrong literally because Joseph is only the supposed father and not the father in the literal sense.

MeandSum: Here is where the confusion comes in. The Hebrew word used in Isaiah 7:14 is "Almah". This does not mean virgin, all it means is a young woman (without a child yet) she could be a virgin, or not. All girls of the age of puberty are considered Almah until their first child. All of a sudden the the Christians decided to say Mary was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus.

She went on to have a minimum of 6 more children.
