Will it reduce fuel from 145 with subsidy?

Will it stop us from being poverty capital?
PoliticsPeter Obi And The Nigerian Mentality. by mekaboy(op): 8:43am On Jan 04, 2019
A lot of Nigerians have felt uncomfortable about the news of Peter obi's children not owning cars, even after being a governor for 8 years. We as a nation are used to feeling entitled to what we have not worked for. No wonder it's called national cake.

So what is wrong with Peter obi's children working for their money and not owning a car? Must they ride expensive cars and power bikes to fit into the Nigerian success picture .

Barack Obama's daughter worked in a restaurant. Nobody criticized the Obama's for that.

We are as corrupt as our leaders.

.............

The Obama girls Malia and Sasha have mostly avoided staying in the limelight despite being daughters of the most powerful parents in the US. Though their moves are always followed by the prying eyes of media, the teenage daughters of President Barack Obama have mostly managed to stay away from becoming news for the wrong reasons.

But it’s applause-worthy that 15-year-old Sasha Obama has given up the comfort of the White House and has taken up a job at a seafood joint in Massachusetts during her summer break.
Advertising

Her job at the joint called Nancy’s on Martha’s Vineyard reportedly includes waiting the tables, maintaining cash register and helping the restaurant prepare for lunch. Also, in the photographs that have gone viral on social media, Sasha wears the restaurant’s uniform; blue t-shirt and a cap.

Your father did not have to be governor for you to buy yours. So they should be able to buy theirs. You have given them good education, shelter, feeding. Let them learn to earn.

If yusuf bought those bikes with his sweat, he won't be speeding and crashing them like that.

Obviously it's either you're on a cheap mischief mission to misinform gullible Nigerians or maybe in reality you don't know what you're talking about. At the time the government fixed the pump price at #145, the international selling price of crude was around $28-30. Now it's hovering at $50. Haba, even an ignoramus will know there'd be underrecovery if the pump price must remain the same N145 na! Can't you reason?

The best thing is for government to move out of the refining business, which they are trying to do, and support a wholly private sector driven initiative. That is why Dangote is being supported 100% by this administration to come on board ASAP. Private investment will also come into the Nigerian refineries this year. So my friend, note that subsidy will soon be a thing of the past..
Making excuse for failure. Was it not the same APC that said the lower the crude price the less fuel should be sold during the campaign? Where were u when they did their calculations and said fuel should be 40 naira?

The same people kept giving us date and deadline when we will stop import and our refineries will be In full operation.

Only for us to be told few months to elections that they did not invest a dime in the repairs and failed to attract investors in 4 years to invest.

The same government that claimed ended subsidy had to finally admit few months to elections that there is subsidy.

How many other lies have they been telling gullible Nigerians like u?

You need to understand my point, Buhari government is not the best for this country but it's far better than Atiku and PDP.
Presently we are inbetween APC and PDP to form the next government, are you saying we should choose the one that has a record of impunity and embezzlement?
The truth of the matter is Buhari was seek for almost 2years in his administration and he was not fully incharge, it's now that God has bring him back to life which all his opponent wasn't expected.
One of the costly mistake he made was not putting his own men in the elms of affairs of national assembly from day one.
All this are something that can be corrected. The most dangerous thing someone can do for him or herself is constant change of officers managing the affairs of your company.
To some extend APC show some level of understanding to the running of the government of building infrastructure that will make the country grate than government of sharing money that was suppose to build infrastructure.
I think it's only in 3rd world countries with high level of physical and mental poverty that u have such reasoning.

PDP is known for embezzling while APC is not. Yet APC is made up of PDP members. Where is the sense in this argument?

Every reasonable person knows that there is no difference between APC and PDP, so the focus now will be on the individual candidate.

Buhari has failed right from his bedroom. Buhari never created jobs for anyone since he ruled Nigeria in 1984. He also did not educate himself further . Someone who does not run a business will hardly make decisions that will favor business people. Someone who does not create jobs can't provide employment for Nigerians.

Someone who does not use Nigerian hospitals can't improve the health sector.

Buhari can't measure with Atiku in any capacity. Those who want him in power are doing so for selfish interest. The hope of handing a collapsed nation to their region in 2023.

APC rely on dangote refinery. Once dangote refinery start working, issue of subsidy will disappear.
If they remove it now, common man will feel the consequence. That's why you can see that first time in history of Nigeria in recent time, there is no fuel scarcity in December 2018.
For me I will rather give APC another chance to rule Nigeria, truly they made some costly mistake in which they also admit and they are working to adjust there mistake.
what we citizen are use to before is: covering up of government mistake.
I will personally appeal to independent voters like me to let us think deep before we rush in changing the current government.
Am personally affected businesswise during this regime, but that doesn't make me think negatively about my country.
A patriotic Nigerian must think of the prospect of the country in future not about the sweatness that man nt stand the test of time.
Relying on dangote to end importation. So all the while they were giving deadline every year, did they tell us it was dangote they are waiting for?

Didn't they tell us they removed subsidy and that's why we pay 145? You will be here and we will pay 220 with the same subsidy and you will make excuses. Did Nigerians die when it moved from 96-145 and we are still paying 1 trillion?

If we pay 220 and fix the inefficiency, Nigerians won't even feel it. Because health, educatioyn and other areas will receive better attention.

AS a patriotic Nigerian, you should look at the figures of today and tell what tomorrow will look like.

I'm sure if Nigeria was your personal business, and you get these negative figures for 4 years, you would have fired your manager.

I once watched a video of Peter Obi that went viral and i was really impressed. But honestly he said nothing new or inspiring in this interview. I'm being objective. PDP needs to overhaul its communication machinery, though i observe most PDP supporters don't really care about what is being said. This reminds me of the attitude of the typical GEJ's critic too in 2015. Compare this chat with Adam's interview of late, or Femi Adesina's or even other relatively unknown APC party members featured on TV in recent times. Let's see how credible the alternative to APC is. There may still be many undecided voters.
The truth is not inspiring and obi will not start to lie to Nigerians like APC did and later began making excuses. This is serious business, people's lives are being affected, schools are on strike, jobs are lost, insecurity on the increase and you want Obi to come and be telling you to vote him to make $1 dollar = to 1 Naira?

Even though it took you minutes to come up with something, you still never answer my question, why are there abandoned projects everywhere ( airport excluded according to you).
There are always abandoned projects for every administration to either continue or leave abandoned. But the Anchor brought up the issue of the airport as part of the projects the borrowed loan went into. That is why obi clarified that not a dime from the borrow money went into the airport.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi On Channels. by mekaboy(op): 8:51pm On Jan 01, 2019
DuxofMen:
The interview was characterized by the usual banding of figures, which can not be substantiated.

When asked if he has seen any of the projects the loan is being spent on, he started blabbing.

Also Nigeria is spending so much on subsidy now because the refineries are not functioning. His party had 16 years to do something about it but rather spent billions of dollars on TAM on sink holes called Nigerian refineries.
APC was borrowing and giving Nigerians deadline when they will stop importing fuel. Only for us to find out at the end of the tenure that a dime was not spent on the refineries, neither did they attract any investor to take over the repairs. So where did all the money go? Why did they lie about the refineries like they did about subsidy? You will keep exposing APC for their lies. So if they knew PDP failed, why then did they keep giving Nigerians false hope about ending importation and working refineries?

Isn't it evident that the APC enjoys the subsidy more than they want to end fuel importation?

You politicians supporters only see things in one direction/way.
Logically, if he was saying the truth ( GEJ paid full amount left for China to do their part), why are there abandoned projects everywhere?
Airports are cofunded and GEJ paid all that is needed from Nigeria. But APC is showing it as achievements as if the money they borrowed went into the airport.
