Yours may be that your partner was clingy. Yours may be they apologized all the time. Yours may be that your partner borrow large some of money to help you. Yours may be that your partner was putting all their best for the relationship to work. Yours may be thar your partner was too kind.
If you look at today, you may hardly find such. You may find gold diggers, or guys who want sex and then get out. You may eveb be begging for love now. You are so correct. Many people have lost true love because of some of the things you listed. |

ReacherSaidNoth: 4. They're mostly dull upstairs and the conversation quickly turns into interrogation. If you don't ask them questions they have nothing interesting to say. You are so correct. They leave the entire task of sustaining the chat on you. They hardly make the chat their responsibility. |
Romance › Re: Love Is Not Enough: Boundaries Are The Real Deal-breaker by mekus15: 5:49pm On Jan 03 |
Dpsychologist: We talk a lot about dating a woman who loves you. We talk about respect. Loyalty. Soft heart. Good intentions.
All valid. But let’s be brutally honest: none of those things can survive without boundaries.
I’ve seen women cheat on men they genuinely loved. Not men they were managing. Men they cherished. Men they respected.
The common denominator? Zero boundaries.
Here’s the uncomfortable truth: Love without boundaries is just emotion without discipline.
If someone is still:
Giving out her number freely Entertaining exes “because we’re cool” Responding to unnecessary DMs Blushing at compliments that shouldn’t matter
Don’t deceive yourself. Cheating didn’t start in the bedroom, it started in the inbox.
Yes, she may love her man. Yes, she may respect him. But when boundaries are loose, feelings become unreliable.
That’s why this matters:
👉 A woman with strong boundaries can still stay loyal even when her feelings shake. 👉 A woman without boundaries will slide, not because she planned to cheat, but because she never protected the relationship.
Boundaries are not about being rude. They are about being intentional.
Love makes a relationship sweet. Boundaries make it solid.
If love is the engine, boundaries are the brakes. Without brakes, even the best car will crash.
Class dismissed. You spoke the truth. Nowadays, when you start creating these boundaries, some women would often call you insecure. That's the height of gaslighting. |

Why the stress on getting a phD in other to be a lecturer. That your friend has a phD and got a lecturing job does not mean that it will work for you same way. Do you know how many phD holders that are jobless presently? Why not focus on other areas that are practically possible for you. Or are you in some sort of competition with your friend? |

Romance › Re: Is It Advisable To Marry A Lady In Her Late 30s by mekus15: 4:29pm On Jun 23, 2025 |
At this point, I must say that I feel for women. Just because she is not married at 30 does not mean that she was a bad person during her prime. I have seen hook up girls marry early while decent girls reach 30 still unmarried. Many things can cause these. We need not judge them harshly. After all, they say not everyone must get married. No wonder, some of these ladies who are above 30 and unmarried, are often advised to adopt children. It's well. |
Romance › Re: What Is Your Favourite Nigerian Tribe Apart From Yours? by mekus15: 3:00pm On Jun 18, 2025 |
Samantha125: Chances are it won't, I once opened a similar thread on politics section and it got deleted within few hours... I was pissed but powerless, so I just kept quiet because I already knew the root of the problem... And the thread was doing just fine without any banters. That is quite sad. This is one thread that could help us appreciate one another. I was expecting that people would flood this thread with positive comments for one another, with same energy they use in attacking each other's tribe. It's well. |

Creating this thread was really thoughtful of you, Samantha125. I would really love more persons to respond so as to give us some fresh air, from the toxic vibes we experience regularly on nairaland.
Back to your question, I love the Hausas for their sincerity and simplicity. I also love the Igede people from Benue state. The ones I have encountered have really been good. |

In as much as I would advise op to be observant, I will also encourage op to give her a chance. Who knows, she may be the answer to your prayers. |

Very fascinating testimony. May the name of God be praised. One thing about religious experiences is that they cannot be translated exactly the same way the person experienced it. That is one reason why people may not understand why the person feels the way he feels about his/her experience. |

Romance › Re: Why Women Must Stay Away From Scorpio Men by mekus15: 6:12pm On Jan 23, 2025 |
I don't think this thing about zodiac signs are absolute, as in 100%. Take the case of twins born same day. You would expect that they should be the same personality type, but you would agree with me that such is not the case generally. I have also seen couple who are of opposite elements, live happily. My parents are good example. My point is that, zodiac information have some truth but they shouldn't be taken as absolutes. Human beings are complex. |

tanigororo: I pity the lady that follows this your advice, because it will always end in Tears 😭 hot tears.
If the aim is to breakup with her, you just catalyse the situation with your method.
Beg Him if you have to, talk to him and negotiate it out. I support his method. What is the point begging someone who wants to break up with you? You have got to show him or her that you can do with or without him or her. He or she is not the only fish in the river. |
