Why the stress on getting a phD in other to be a lecturer. That your friend has a phD and got a lecturing job does not mean that it will work for you same way. Do you know how many phD holders that are jobless presently? Why not focus on other areas that are practically possible for you. Or are you in some sort of competition with your friend?

I don't think this thing about zodiac signs are absolute, as in 100%. Take the case of twins born same day. You would expect that they should be the same personality type, but you would agree with me that such is not the case generally. I have also seen couple who are of opposite elements, live happily. My parents are good example. My point is that, zodiac information have some truth but they shouldn't be taken as absolutes. Human beings are complex.
