Politics / Re: $7billion: I Won’t Apologise To Soludo – Falana by Mekusdanny: 11:29am On Sep 26, 2016
God Bless u, guy
2n2k:
We need to clear some issues here before it gets muddled up

1. Nigeria foreign reserves are not kept in the vault of CBN, they are mostly deposited in many foreign banks but the cbn being the banker of government serves as the manager of the funds. If government needs forex, it will approach cbn, how cbn calls in the necessary deposits from foreign banks to pay government is the internal affairs of the cbn.

2. In lodging the forex with foreign banks, cbn is just like any other customers to those foreign banks

3. Soludo felt that since these foreign banks are banks like Nigeria banks and they use our money to do business and considering that the Nigeria banks had become bigger due to consolidation then, he made a policy that they too should become custodians of our foreign reserve like foreign banks but there should be a learning period under foreign banks for them. That was why local banks had to partner with foreign banks of their choice and the pilot scheme started with $7b in 2006.

4. The $7b was lodgements in banks not a loan. It is not that the banks will make a bullet repayment but the cbn would have been withdrawing over time just like any other customers. If you lodge money in a bank, you don't call it loan and you only withdraw at your discretion.

5. Foreign reserve is a fund not revenue. Revenue is derived from exports (of oil and others). That is what is shared by tiers of government. The cash backing in naira would have been provided by the cbn and spent by Nigeria then. There is nothing to retrieve from cbn again to be shared. If the cbn had failed to recover any of the lodgements, it would have made provision for such loss by now, but then, it is its loss, not loss of government revenue

6. Banks don't need approval of shareholders for treasury management just like cbn doesn't need approval from anybody (national assembly inclusive) on how, where and when to place/lodge the foreign reserve.

Bros, you too much, Best response!!!

As we recalled Ngozi Okonjo Iweala shouting herself hoarse on the need to diversify the economy and save far back as 2012. Maybe you also cast your mind back on her instituting the SWF on the backdrop of vitriolic oppositions from political elements -who,ironically,are now 'saints' in this admin e.g Amaechi,Saraki etc and most gullible Nigerians- Heck, we even remembered the constant yearly fights btw NOI and the political class especially those of the opposition back then on what point to peg our budget about a certain oil price so as to fund it and also save for the rainy day....whilst NOI insisted on pegging way below the crude oil price so as to have excess dollars to save, amaechi and his rabid dogs insisted and pegged it higher so as to have that excess dollars to loot.At a point the Federal Government was taken to court and that was the end of it for NOI,but as bad as it is right now, NOI could have steered this economy away from this global downturn just as her policies auto piloted us away from the 2008 financial meltdown....but who are we kidding when we are stucked with janjaweede propagandists, imbecilic, illiterate tyrants from daura with zombies as their fanatic supporters and wait for it......a rookie and a horribly mentally limited finance minister whose last gig was impoverishing a state into begging for bail out funds, let us leave the topic of her getting the job via tribal and regional sentiments for another day.....And you wondered why we laugh?! Thank goodness we relocated back to France in time.

damselle00: if your liver function tests were truly normal, then consider checking your thyroid function tests; it includes T4, TSH.

Bin3: great, let me know what they said/did

4reala: have your tried nasal decongestants such as phenylephrin.e

mekusdanny: Internal hemorrhoid are usually painless, you likely have external or anal fissure. There is topical analgesics like lidocain.e, anuso.l can relieve pain. Can also try sitz bath, please google this. But, have you seen someone regarding your anorectal condition for proper exam and diagnosis?

michaelshow: give me some time to look over this, will get back to you.

@ Xiadnat, thank you for your response. i have been doing Sitz bath and do take panadol extra or tramadol (lately) which do help with the pain., but recently the pain is becoming unbearable for me. i'll try out the analgesics you prescribe. it is probably Anal fissure because the pain is mostly after bowel movement and i cannot see any lump externally. i have not seen anyone regarding this but will have to see doctor this weekend for proper diagnosis. Many thanks for your assistance

mekusdanny:

She was diagnosed of gonococcal urethritis, but this test result does not show evidence of GC. In fact, this isn't the best test for it. Nevertheless, you can treat empirically for it.

Standard treatment for GC is: ceftriaxon.e 250 mg injection single dose/one time dose. OR Azithromycin 1g orally single dose .

She also needs to be empirically treated for chlamydia: doxycycline 100mg oral twice a day for 7days.

Two other things:

1. White discharge indicates possible candida infection. So, she can consider adding: fluconazole 100mg oral one time or miconazole cream or vaginal suppository.
2. THE SEXUAL partner needs to be treated
3. She needs to refrain from sexual activity until effectively treated.
4. Untreated STD can lead to PID and consequently infertility.

Good luck

Thanks alot Doctor, my friend here is a guy, Hope your recommended treatment is still applicable?

Hello Doctors,
Thanks for the good work.
My friend was diagnosed of Gonococcal Urethritis, Swab Test result is as below:

Microscopy: Gram - Gram Negative Bacilli+
Epithelial cells +/hpf, WBC 5 -6/hpf
Culture: yielded light growth of Caliform Specie
Sensitivity: Nitrofurantin +++, Ciprofloxacin +++, ofloxacin ++, ceftazidime +, cefuroxine +, Augmentin +
Resistance: Gentamycin, Cefixime.

Urine analysis yielded no growth after incubation
XYZ is negative.

Doctor recommeded the following drugs which lasted for a week: Cyproflaxacin tabs, flagyl tabs, doxycylin tabs, PCM, leonart and Vit C.

The problem is that after one week of using the drugs as prescribed, my friend is still having uncontrollable milky discharge/slight pains when urinating. he went back to hospital and doctor prescribed Nitrofuratoin.
Unfortunately, after a week after taking that, the milky discharge persist although the pains has stopped.

please advise the best treatment
