PoliticsRe: Ojukwu's Interview Just Before Biafra (VIDEO) by mekuslogan: 2:37pm On Oct 08, 2012
AWo must be crying in his grave now. He was smart enough to have killed himself, something that I understand quite well.

What I do not understand is why Yoruba get wet in the collar when the two most important truths about Awo are told
1. That he committed suicide
2. That he initiated a policy to starve Igbos to death to foster his own ambition
PoliticsRe: Awolowo Vs Achebe: simple logic eluding Nigerians? by mekuslogan(op): 2:30pm On Oct 08, 2012
abes: Whose duty is it to feed Biafrans, Nigerian government or Biafran government?
Do you know about the war? Biafra was not asking to be fed by Nigeria, that would have been poisonous food, of course. Nigeria never fed Biafra one day. Go check your history. Biafra was asking that the boarder be not closed so food supplies can come in. Now you (AWO) close the boarder and starve me and you do not want me to talk about the starvation? You kidding me, right?

Gbawe: My guy, the broad meaning is the same i.e 'mingle right' and get loaded. Note I wrote:

Ikoyi Club is illustrative. There are many like it throughout Nigeria as examples of places people go to gain inclusion into the cult-like club of those controlling Nigeria's wealth.
What I am saying is that it is much more than congregating. You do not know Yaradua and GEJ; these guys never mixed or congregated in the manner that you illustrate. Becoming an oligarch in Nigeria is something that is not easily explainable by just mixing right.

abes: Whose duty was it to feed the biafrans?
It was okay to starve the Biafrans in a war. I have said that before and you should have read it in the first post, except that you are probably another illiterate Yoruba. But it is also okay for the starved to call their starver by his name: a genocidal monster. That is what we have been talking about here on NL and that is what Achebe officially confirmed.
PoliticsRe: Pictures Of Arraigned Suspects Of The Fuel Subsidy Scam. by mekuslogan: 2:11pm On Oct 08, 2012
Gbawe: Well, that is the way it is. It is not really discriminatory along ethnic lines. It is more an inclusive 'big boy' thing. We all know how Ibori went from cashier and petty fraud in the UK to be a Nigerian Governor because of 'mixing' in the 'right circles'.

Lte me give you a hint of one of the ways to become an Oligarch from scratch assuming you have spare cash and time on your hands and don't mind grovelling. Pay the exorbitant yearly fee to join an exclusive "big boy/big girls" congregation ground like Ikoyi Club. Attend at weekends , when the 'big boys' and 'top Dogs' are there to unwind, and sell yourself. You will 'hammer' sooner or later. Hideous how Nigeria is run but Nigerians themselves are not ready for the truth. This is why we attack each other instead of deal squarley with the big thieves, from all corners of the nation, laughing all the way to the bank and condemning ordinary folks to abject poverty.
That is only part of the means, though. Jonathan, like most of the hausa/fulani oligarchs (publicly non alcohol-drinking), am sure never went to Ikoyi club. There is probable some other ''club'' in Bayelsa, Abia, Sokoto, Ondo, Calabar, Maiduguri and Abuja that people meet who want to turn oligarchs overnight. Hahahahah!

truth4meal: you look more to me like someone starved of right reasoning - what more will Ojukwu's book say? And why did the coward wait till after his death before a book on a selfish warfare that caused the lives of about 2 million igbos - even igbos surrender when he was in exile - a coward alive and dead
Forget about Ojukwu for once in your life. Did Awo starve Igbos? If so, what is wrong in an Igbo talking about it? Ojukwu's book will merely stamp, albeit with greater authority, what we already know about Awo. By then, Yoruba would be crying. Now they are shouting. grin grin grin

But you have not answered it, only gave a hint of where you might have wanted. shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

Aigbofa: Ojukwu lived for 40 years after the war and wouldn't dare write any war memoir.(I guess he could have violated his probation) Now that he is dead, we should be expecting his book. Is he going to write it from the grave or Achebe will write it and slap Ojukwu's name on it?
Now please answer the question: did Awo starve Igbos? If so, what is wrong with people talking about it?

Don't worry; his book was written whilst he was here with us and was meant by him to be release when he is gone.

Gbawe: Are you not aware he is one of the 'untouchables' in this current Government? Look, even as many don't realise it, Otedola is one of GEJ's 'trump card' that will ensure Mr.President is stupendously rich and will be a 'monied' and influential power-broker beyond office like OBJ, IBB, Anenih et al.

NA Gbawe predict this; Otedola will 'win' the bidding for at least one Nigerian refinery before GEJ leaves office. The tricks of the Oligarchs , in their quest to perpetually control the 'juiciest' sectors and processes in Nigerian, are fairly obvious to all but those like you who see ethnicity in everything.
Funny though how anyone can become an oligarch in Nigeria. GEJ, some 10 years ago, was a nobody in Nigeria. E go better.

Aigbofa: This is what happens when you crush a rebellion and declare no victor no vanquished and let the leaders of the rebellion go scot free. They tend to regroup years later to resume their subversive activities, much like what the old Biafran leaders are doing today.
The cry that Awo was a monster would have been more strident were ''no victor no vanquished'' not declared. You wait until Ojukwu's book is out. Awo will be in the real hell that he deserves.
Did Awo starve Igbos? Is it okay to disallow a starved child from complaining about the starvation?

CyberG: Good! Now ibos can forget any Alliance or future with the west or any hopes of winning presidency in Nigeria. The second civil war in Nigeria will be total annihilation of ibos.
If Igbos don't win, you will not win either. Remember it was not Yoruba that put Obasanjo there. Awo and Falae, Yoruba candidates, tried and failed. Let's see how you win if we do not win. You cannot blackmail anyone which such trite threat. Both Igbo and Yoruba will forfeit the leadership to the Northerners. NONSENSE.

FYI, the next war will be fought and won in Lagos. Try any nonsense and you won't know what hit you.

reporter?:
Dude, I have no time for Soyinka vs Achebe thingy you want to inject this mata. Nobel has spoken for me 26 years ago
and will for ever continue to do so.

For now, Achebe crippled a-ss is on fire for starting poo same way the pedophile Ojukwu starred what he couldn't finish in '67
Achebe may be on fire in Yorubaland, in Igboland he is hailed or stating the truth that Awo initiated a policy to starve the IGBO in order to advance himself politically. Dude, it is okay to kill your enemy in a war. But it is not okay to prevent them from saying you tried to kill them.

BTW, Soyinka lineage is done. He has no responsible family that anyone knows. Please google Achebe's children and come back for more discussion.
PoliticsRe: Achebe On Awo: Igbo, Yoruba Leaders In ‘verbal Warfare’ by mekuslogan: 12:56pm On Oct 08, 2012
reporter?:
Yes he did! And damn right too. Achebe has always harbored a deep seated anger for the fact that the Nobel for literature went
to Soyinka. 26 yrs plus, the old fool is still waiting for the same prize.
This is garbage. Achebe is a much accomplished person, all round, than Soyinka. You need to check out Achebe's children versus Soyinka's. Noble price was given how many donkey years ago. Who the frigging hell is Sonyinka, everything taken together, compared to Achebe?
PoliticsAwolowo Vs Achebe: simple logic eluding Nigerians? by mekuslogan(op): 12:51pm On Oct 08, 2012
Awolowo did what people do to enemies in a war. People kill their enemies with guns or with starvation. I understand that. What I do not understand is why it is a problem to say exactly what Awo did to the Igbos: he tried to exterminate the Igbo by hunger seeing that the guns were failing to do so.

Why are Yoruba angry about the truth said of their leader?
Is it not the same thing that we have been debating here on NL since eon that Awo was a monster to the Igbos during the war? What is different in what Achebe wrote?

Do you Yorubas want Igbos to have been starved by Awolowo and to keep quite about it? Igbo were starved by Awo's policy, fine by me, seen all is fair in war, but to ask me not to talk about it is a little bit insulting, no?
PoliticsRe: Achebe On Awo: Igbo, Yoruba Leaders In ‘verbal Warfare’ by mekuslogan: 12:47pm On Oct 08, 2012
CyberG: One more thing: was Chief Awolowo supposed to help biafra, the enemy of Nigeria to win while he is one of the top leaders of the country? Funny thing is if he had, ibos today will call him a saboteur! grin grin LOL. Iboz still have no clue what war is like and nations that fought so many wars and grew to come to learn the acts of diplomacy, liberalism, political sophistication right there in Nigeria are funnily derided. These are people who fought for over 500 years but ibos fought their first war in a mere < 3 years, they are crying, isn't that really funny?? grin grin
No Awolowo was not supposed to help Biafra. So why are you angry that his plan to exterminate Igbos is now been confirmd by one who shoud know? He tried to kill Igbos, which is what people do in a war, why are people calling Achebe names because he said the truth?

koruji: This is the kind of arrogance that become a catastrophy down the line.

Learn to behave like a visitor, when you are in foreign land, and you are in a foreign land when you come to Yoruba land - Lord Luggard be damned.
There are less reasonable people that will take these things seriously.
Today, you are foolishly rejoicing because "your cyber Yoruba" is "affirming" your exaggerated ego.
The asinine thought that you can dominate Yorubas in their own land.
Do you really think he made these statements because he is happy or sad?
Do you realize that such a person, if he really exists, could take your disgusting gloating as confirmation of his fears?
Do you realize that he could decide to do something dastardly about it?
Are you so numb not to see how Igbos pack up and head East in droves any time there is a small conflict anywhere in Nigeria, including the SW?
Yorubas are very accomodating. If we have had problems it is either within Yoruba land or with foolish visitors like yourself like to disturb the beehive.
Come to Yoruba land, do your business in peace, respect your host and their land.
Any people pushed to the wall by ignoramouses will defend themselves.
Many Igbos have always claimed to be related to the Japanese, among others.
May be or may be not, but you would be well instructed by the Japanese experience in WWII.
Pearl Habor-like behavior will always lead to Hiroshima-Nagasaki-type behavior.
9/11 like-behavior will always lead to Iraq and Afhganistan-like behavior
Stop foolishly putting your people in danger.
Most of them are living peacefully with Yoruba people.
Unaware of the kind of foolishness your kind are promoting all over the world.
These innocent lives are the ones that bear the brunt of your low IQ, while you hide away in a foreign land.
One Biafran calamity is enough for any sane individual - Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and what have you.
May the curse of Rwanda visit anyone who comes on this forum to promote unhealthy, and downright dangerous, ethnic rivalry in Nigeria.
Let's seek peace and pursue peace.
Let's compete on things that make us more than animals in the eyes of the world.
This is infantile. You need to up your game and be more competitive.

whitecat007: mekuslogan or what do you call yourself, first of all you ibos are in love with all other nigerian names except yours, so the writer of that article you quoted is possibly an ibo guy. If by any chance ibos are sold lands in Ijebuland, mark it on the the wall, you are screwed for life as those lands are never going to get to your hands. The Ijebu Yoruba are more conservative than Lagos Yoruba. That's all I'm going to say to you about that. grin grin grin you my friend are sitting on a super long thing if you buy landed property in any part of Yoruba land. Hope you know what you are doing.
But the Igbos are buying up Nigeria. What you gonna do about it, loser?

Personally, within Nigeria, would not touch a property outside Igboland even if given for free. Good for those Igbos doing so, but there is nothing a Yoruba or Hausa can do about it except to hasten the division of the country. Only then can you claim Igbo property.
