Using Fashola as case study:
Fashola is/was never a politician,reason he perform(ed) excellently well.He didn't lead Lagosians typical of a Nigerian politician.Most of the promises he made to Lagosians during his campaigns,he fulfilled.
Now,between Agbaje and Ambode: I think Agbaje fits perfectly into the description above....
But,if Ambode won,he would lead typically of a normal Nigerian politician with all promises and most likely not fulfilling any.
My take though!

i agree with u on this one cos from all indecies people from private sector,professionals have so far shown what it takes to leading this country well.

Hello nairalanders (mature minds anyways) can we just get serious to some issues while having fun? I know we've all at a time gets into a relationship just for one selfish interest or the other which eventually never ends well, due to unrequitted love from us or our patner. So have u been complaining of how incompatible you both have been, its the time for once to speak the truth about this relationship of urs with humour. Nice, Akpabio is taking Akwa Ibom places, Last time i was at getty museum in LA, the pictures of Nigeria i saw there was an embarrasment, mostly civil wars, slums and dirty streets with dirty half dressed kids smiling for the cameras.
It would be great to see one inspiring image of Nigeria. Thank you Akpabio I might just go the getty this weekend hopefully the stadium picture is on display.

Am amused at the way some armchair politicians are doing permutations as if 2 + 2 is 4 in politics,it doesn't work that way. There are factors that wins elections; 1. Interest. This is usually determined by political bigwigs. Every electorate has one interest or the other derivable from the personalities which forms a party. Only few votes on the basis of public interest,this is Nigeria. Osoba and the other political bigwigs who decamped to SDP have some cult followership whose interest are aligned with those figures. Amosun and APC has lost those followership which will definitely work against him. That's a great minus! 2. Popularity. Popularity is subjective. Amosun constructed roads in the urban areas,what about the rural areas? Has Amosun covered 20 or even 10 percent of Ogun State in his developmental efforts? When campaign starts,people will start to see the minuses of Amosun 4 years. Besides, popularity doesn't win elections all the time. 3. Institutions. Federal institutions like INEC, Police,SSS et cetera. Can Amosun control them when all chips are down? 4. Egba/Yewa/Ijebu dichotomy. This will also play a major role in dtermining who wins. These and so amny other factors will not allow for conclusion that Amosun will win in Ogun State. The factors outlined above are also relevant in Oyo and Kwara States. Kwara is even much more difficult for APC because Bukola's influence is not as strong as that of his father,I swear Bukola is just camouflaging as if he is in control. ALL the institutions he usually use to win elections may not be at his beck and call. Let's wait. I remain, Barrister Kole Oyedele

Sir, the compendium of ur assertions to me is that amosun will win cos i see no incumbent candidate with no challenges, pdp in ogun state is not coming up strong by picking that saviour to bring back that glory. And to the lost sheeps, their story is just that of ppn with the then ruling party.

Y painting a public servant resiqnation as wierld? Its total mistake for them defecting and resuscitating SDP all in cajorling the masses of what manifesto that will never exist amongst this people. I think is the right step at the wrong time. And if anybody tells me amosun is loosing this forthcoming election, that person should justa pose amosun gigantic efforts with the popularity he's got leading to overall acceptance in ogun state, with few dissenting his second term are all retrogressive minds.

And so what? Apc nomination form is 27.5m times 5 presidential candidates equals...... And not to talk of other positions party members vying for.

u just feel like sprew lampoons that are never valid. This guy has made millions for himself already not some politicians seeking ways to boost their private businesses. This is the best way to give back to his people by being in authority and meeting up fully to the people's yearnings. Gbam!
