Foreign Affairs / Re: Policewoman Committed Suicide After Texting Husband Message Meant For Her Lover by mellie: 8:50am On Dec 07, 2013
Locking herself up in that boot doesn't seem rational at all. She was most likely forced to write the notes and take those pills. With a gun to her head perhaps. Bottomline: Her husband killed her!

Music/Radio / Don Jazzy And D,banj Parts Ways! by mellie: 1:19pm On Mar 09, 2012
The recent announcement that Nigeria’s most celebrated entertainer Don Jazzy, chief executive of Mo’Hit records and his partner D’Banj, the number one musician on the label, have parted ways, has left most Nigerians still reeling in shock.

Most people are yet to come to terms with the development as the broken down relationship many thought was made by the gods was untouchable. The situation, Vanguard reports, remains the same and the story of the separation, real!.

As the Nigeria’s number one entertainment newspaper, Vanguard serves you only with the best stories and nothing more.

Now back to the story and why the celebrated entertainers parted ways.

*Dbanj & Don Jazzy

Their decision to part ways was something our source said was agreed upon by the two former pals.

It was taken long before the deal by D’Banj, Don Jazzy and Kanye West’s GOOD music was sealed.

The lack of a business structure in Mo’Hit records made the company the butt of a joke especially in the international business community. Everything seemed to revolve around D’Banj alone.

It was becoming increasingly difficult for both to continue as partners because Don Jazzy who doubles as the label’s producer was having difficulties controlling D’Banj who was also a partner in the business.

Conflicts often arose in the house because of the seeming financial gap between D’Banj and other artistes on the label.

This grossly affected the business and also contributed to the duo relocating to the Island leaving the other artistes at their former abode in Maryland, Lagos.

The situation between the two deepened to a point where other artistes on the label were made to look ordinary.

Often, Don Jazzy faced an uphill task convincing other Mo’Hit records sign-on like Wande Coal, Dr. Sid and The Prince that he (Don Jazzy) was as committed to their career as he was to D’Banj’s.

Several newspapers in the past had talked about the situation but the record company through their managers had often denied having conflicts in the house.

The recording of a promotion song for President Goodluck Jonathan by D’Banj, was the icing on the cake as Nigerians descended on the Mo’Hit crew and accusing them of a sell out.

During the protest against government decision to remove subsidy on petrol, Nigerians took to the internet, calling for the head of D’Banj.

Don Jazzy desperate to protect his record company, quickly disassociated it from a sell-out. He went as far as tweeting on the wall of his Twitter that he regretted ever associating with the President.

To crown it all, D’Banj was no where to be found when the heat was turned on his partners.

Don Jazzy has since moved out of the mansion they once shared in Lekki Phase 1 and he’s currently squatting with Dr Sid at 1004, the same estate that Wande Coal lives on Victoria Island. As at the time of filing in our story, Don Jazzy may have finalised arrangement to unveil his own record label which sources say will be structured in a way no one musician will hold sway.

What happens to other Mo’Hit artistes will be revealed on these pages.

Who Is… Nnena Omali?
Posted on Friday, March 2nd, 2012 at 1:00 PM

By Onos O  http://www.bellanaija.com/2012/03/02/who-is-nnena-omali/

A few years ago, we featured Nnena Omali in our BN Presents Naija Divas segment back then. And, ever since, she has seemingly gone underground. Back then, she was more popular for her feature on Mode Nine‘s “Cry” and soon after for her heart-moving “Oluchi” and its video.

Nnenna Ezeakunne O’ Dele (her real name) was actually raised in Enugu and started singing as early as ten years old. From University of Nigeria Enugu campus, where she studied Estate Management to getting signed to Question Mark Records in 2004, the young “Afro Fusion” songstress had faced many a tribulation in her career. With regards to her music career, she had this to say:

“In my musical journey, I’ve battled with unforeseen delay, disappointments, unmet expectations and yes, I’ve seen hardship. But in all these things I’ve come out stronger and intrepid. In a sort of funny peculiarity, even peril provided leeway for diverse messages in my writings. For instance, my latest release, “Palava” was a song written in righteous anger and it’s getting splendiferous love.”

After a stint as a columnist for Mode Men Magazine, Nnena Omali decided to get back into the music and so far has released “Kissed”, an acoustic ballad reminiscent of the likes of Asa; and “Palava” which is more upbeat and expressive. We have yet to scrape the surface of what Nnena Omali has to offer. I can’t wait to hear more from her.

For now, here are her singles. Enjoy!

Religion / Re: Being A Christian Is A Mistake! by mellie: 3:37am On Nov 22, 2011
@Chrisj2000 I must also remind you that the rejection of paradise is the automatic acceptance of hell. Like the Law of Gravity: what won't stay up will have to come crashing down. Believe me, You don't want to know what hell is like. The 'boredom' of heaven is a trillion times preferrable than the 'exciting' unprintable tortures of hell. trust me I've glimpsed it. Imagine yourself burning forever, devouring your own flesh, worms eating you alive, exploding and reassembling again then exploding, constantly beheaded, castrated, boiling alive in hot lard, screaming till peerless, hopeless eternity. Don't know about you but I'd rather play a harp and listen to singing flowers from morn to morn. Yes, the boredom of heaven would be my celestial delight. Rethink your choice, NoW!
Harden your heart if you wish. Satan is alive and well in hades, salivating with the ghoulish fantasy of doing unspeakably gory things to your soul. You should see his demons rejoicing at your folly.
Goodluck to you brother chris. The choice is yours.

chrisj2000:

You are talking trash. If i tell you how i hate bible and that your Jesus. I hate them with passion. My name is Christian and i was a fervent Christian. But when i realise that those promises of prayer is a deception, i burnt my bible.
The day i burnt my bible, i told Jesus that i am 1,000,000% sure that he doesn't exist but if it turns out that he exists, that he has paradise and hell fire, i don't want to go to his paradise when i die.
Have you found yourself in a difficult situation and prayed with faith and your situation keep getting worse. I find peace in knowing that there is no body in the sky who cares about me.

My dear, christianity is not about what God can do for you on earth. It is about securing a place in his paradise after this life. I don't know whether you were a member of one these prosperity churches that tell you a load of lies; that being a christian solves all of your earthly problems.A lot of people in those churches may well backslide one day as they follow God for material reasons and will loose faith if some of their needs are left unmet. They will collapse when their faith is tried with hardship. Ask yourself; would your biological father give you everything you want. If he did that, then he'd be spoiling you. How much more your father in heaven who created him. God has three answers to prayers: Yes, Not yet or I have something better. The truth is ; the ultimate gains of being in christ can only be found after your death. Heaven is the quintessential prize. You see, this world is fleeting. You can sleep tonite and never wake up. Then all your ungratified needs would become meaningless. Supposing you find yourself at the other side after you die and realise you were wrong. You worshipped God for all the wrong reasons; Give me that! I want this! If you dont do this for me then you dont exist bla! bla! How about, Lord I love you, I want to live to please and obey you. Do remember to write my name in the book of life. i thank you for what I have for I know that others have less. I know things are hard now but at least I'm alive, I have hands , I can type on a keyboard, It could have been worse LOrd! Thank you for this life which I still have. For where there is life, there is hope"
Show some gratitiude for a change Chris! I have loved you first! When will you ever appreciate the things I have done for you! You make demands Like a child. Grow up! Repent and return before it is too late!

HEAVEN IS REAL. GOD IS REAL. CHRIST IS STILL WAITING FOR YOU TO RETURN TO HIS ARMS. FORSAKE WORLDLY DESIRES AND LOOK UNTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

I have seen christ. He has appeared to me in visions. Spoken to me of things to come. Some of which have come to pass. I have witnessed angels fight for me when demons dared to attack. I've prayed out of my body with an angel who summoned me at midnight to repell the adversary. And when I erred, Jesus Christ showed me hell reminding of it's fire.
Chris, you may not have experienced the physical manifestation of God or his angels for spiritual gifts vary from brethren. But I'm telling you that these things are REAL. Return to Jehovah. Repent. Stop demanding and start obeying! God loves you and even though you see his silence as evidence of absence, He is still alive. Not even your loss of faith can change that.
Shalom.

Religion / Questions And Insights For Muslims Who Criticize Christianity by mellie: 10:02am On Aug 25, 2011
READ CAREFULLY WITH AN UNBIASED MIND!!

'The Sonship of Jesus Christ in the Gospels is never meant in a Biological, physical and/or sexual/conjugal sense in the Bible. Christians themselves have never understood this term in this wrong way. In fact, knowledgeable Christians would be the first to condemn vehemently this biological and sexual/conjugal misinterpretation of the expression ‘Son of GOD’! As this concept is not found in the Christian Scriptures.

In the Malay language, we use expressions like ‘son of the river (Anak Sungai)’, ‘son of the key (Anak Kunci)’, ‘child of the Moon (Anak Bulan)’ and so forth to mean ‘river tributary’, ‘a keychain/key holder’, and the crescent Moon respectively. Do we ever misinterpret these terms to mean physical or biological ‘Sons’ at all…Definitely not, Never!'

- He asked me: "Do you believe that God is all powerful and nothing is impossible for Him?"

- I replied: "Yes, of course!"

- Then He said: "Would it then be impossible for Him then to come to earth and to take a human form?"

" God does not force a belief system upon people. He has given them liberty to choose. Therefore what right does an earthly regime or group have to impose a certain belief system? Our prayer is that the new Government of Afghanistan will respect the freedom of religion which is basic to all other liberties. In the Afghan language, Dari, there is a popular Afghan proverb which substantiates this truth as it states the following in Dari, the main language of Kabul, "Isa'i badin khud, Musa'i badin khud." ("Let the followers of Jesus practise their religion, and the followers of Moses theirs."wink

Jesus prophesied, "A time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering service to God" (John 16:2). After His resurrection, He commanded His followers, "Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life"

my dear beaf, that's why I Said u have little knowlege of history. Go and dust ur encyclopeadia and find out the diff. btw a military regime and a democracy. The systems are disparate. Buhari was not coming back in a military junta but in a democrtic setting. You've been too sodomized by odechukwu's propaganda so u reason from the anus blowing fart everywhere, see u in 2015. Diokpara JONA.
Politics / Re: A Bunch Of Good, Strong Presidents For Some Yeye Noisemakers. Lol! by mellie: 10:34am On Aug 04, 2011
During Buhari's regime, our hospitals were well equipd, the naira was so strong, the dollar didn't stand a chance near it, we had few universities but our degrees had value around the world. Yes, buhari made errors in the arrest and imprisonment of certain people (who were released, not murdered extra-judicialy) but his positive input to our nation outnumber his mistakes. Buhari changed Nigeria in 18mnths , GEJ says he needs 6yrs. I am glad i never allowd the Ebele in Jona's name rob me of my reasoning.
Politics / Re: A Bunch Of Good, Strong Presidents For Some Yeye Noisemakers. Lol! by mellie: 10:17am On Aug 04, 2011
I grew up hearing my parents reminisce consisently on the glories of the buhari/idiagbon era. BUHARI'S tenure lasted only abt 18 months b4 he was ousted by IBB yet he left an unforgettable mark. In his time bribery & corruption plummeted and discipline was instilled by a strict rule of law. People dared not litter the streets and there was security even the terrorist group that tried to heat up the polity at that time were crushed b4 dey cld issue out statements.

O.K mousieur beef, Buhari is the strong leader in dat list & albeit i'm from the SE I hav no regrets voting for him. True he wasn't a perfect. NIG does not need a perfect leader. All we need is a president who does more good than harm to the polity. FASHOLA is adjudged to be one of NIG's best govnors. He has made mistakes in the toll gate saga and not giving property reclamation a human face but d improvements he has made in lagos in terms of infrastrure, sanitation, tourism etc outweigh his errors
Politics / Re: A Bunch Of Good, Strong Presidents For Some Yeye Noisemakers. Lol! by mellie: 9:14am On Aug 04, 2011
@beaf, even JONA'S godfather OBJ failed in his third term bid. And remember (if u were born then) that when ABACHA tried to enlongate his rule, he suddenly died of cardiac arrest a la chemical 1. Nig is not uganda or zimbabwe or any of these african countries, we have 2 many powers dat be and dey wnt tolerate a presidnt overstayin his welcome. GEJ is playing with fire. He might just get burnt.
Politics / Re: A Bunch Of Good, Strong Presidents For Some Yeye Noisemakers. Lol! by mellie: 8:59am On Aug 04, 2011
My dear gala abi na beef, a valid contribution from me will do absolutely nothing to make u realise dat ur daddy is abt to go down as Nigeria's dullest & weakest president ever. If I were u i'd go advice him to forget all the tricks he learnt 4rm his ugandan friends and concentrate on giving us light. 4yrs is enough to achieve at least one impt. thing. But no ur dad wants to play smart. I see him warming up to rule 4 10yrs or more. Warn him that NIG is too hot to manhandle.
Politics / Re: A Bunch Of Good, Strong Presidents For Some Yeye Noisemakers. Lol! by mellie: 1:44am On Aug 04, 2011
why do people engage in pointless arguements with this boy called beaf? His support for GEJ is so laden with sentiment with hardly any cogent logic and his hatred for buhari is rooted in bigotry. His knowlege on Nigeria's history is poor as well, dat's why he cannot fathom why people respect buhari. He sounds like a spoilt adolescent. Are u sure he is not GEJ's son? Cos he's too damnd emotional about the man. @beaf, Boy, does ur daddy know the amt of time u spend in nairaland tryin to launder his image?

Dearie that was no incubus. That was a classic witch out to take a piece of u. Incubus/succubus are water demons but their attacks are usually sexual in nature. U need to start praying a lot more.
Politics / Re: President Goodluck Is In Danger! - Prophet by mellie: 7:27am On Jul 27, 2011
The prophet also said that GEJ was not Nigeria's messiah and that God's will is for him to enable that messiah emerge not by runnin but by ensuring free and fair elections. This prophecy was printed in the dailies and also emerged as a thread in NL & hrdly anyone tk it serious. I hope dis one is taken with caution. We need to pray for our presidnt.
Politics / Re: President Goodluck Is In Danger! - Prophet by mellie: 7:19am On Jul 27, 2011
One primate, Ayodele or so warned Jonathan not to run in d may 2011 elections that if he does that he wld win by a rigging method so scientific and ingenuously done that most of the polity wld not doubt his veracity. The old prophet who had made surefire predictions in the past postulated that Gejs emergence as Presidnt will not be free and fair that d outcome will plunge dis nation into a terrible crisis. He also said that God's purpose for Jona is to pave the way for the president who will change Nig.

A certain primate AYodele made a prophecy b4 d 2011 elections when GEJ was planning to run and it was posted in Nairaland. Whoever startd that thread shld pls repost it! I was among the visitors of that thread and witnessed how many made a mockery of the prophecy. I did not even believe it myself but to my shock every word that man uttered is unfolding b4 our very eyes. Cld Bakare's predictions be true? May GOD save this country.

keep ur temple holy n when u slip n fall into old habits confess to GOD n get bk on track immediately. Make sure dat u never grieve ur angels by openin these doors. Keep ur angels on guard with prayers to God, self control and watch urself grow in dominion. Jehovah has given u authority. Do not be afraid. Witches are only powerful to those they are stronger than. There are pple who witches cant dare to touch, if dem try am a legion of arch angels will bkfire their spells n ruin dem. Be a conqueror.
Religion / Re: Witches And What They Do. by mellie: 7:00pm On Jul 17, 2011
here are some of the doorways that keep dem coming: masturbation, porn, unforgiveness/bickering. If u hav some of these doors open, beta close dem sharply for these sins make humans very susceptible to demons and witches. Avoid porn, self-service and make peace with ur neighbour. Pray b4 u sleep and when u are attacked rain holy ghost fire and GOD'S strongest angels on them. Close every demonic doorway and they will not be able to return. Angels of God r always protectin us but sin drives them away.
Religion / Re: Witches And What They Do. by mellie: 6:48pm On Jul 17, 2011
@sadboy listen to me very carefully. God has heard ur cry for help. This is how u set urself free from the attack of witches and demons. Jesus christ never fails and when u pray to GOD in his son's name and blood, reqst for his angels to take charge and they will. Do so with boldness and authority. The reason why these witches hav so much power over u and keep coming bk is becos there are doorways in ur life invitin them in. No witch can hold a christian's life to ransome unless he has opened a 'door'.

Christians these days are busy following pastors and not God. They forget that the pastor is just a mere human being who is falllible. They may want to dress like him or fry their hair becos he does so but the truth remains that he is not their creator. that's why they get all dissappointed or jump ship when they spot a flaw on the pastor's character. The truth remains that there are are many so called 'Men of God' who will not make heaven because they run their churches as money making ventures hence performing fake miracles etc. A lot of their members may reach the pearly gates because they believed through their sermons and 'miracles'but on that day of judgement to their utmost surprise,God willl say to these vain 'Gods of Men': I KNOW YOU NOT.
Religion / Re: nigerian antichrist see it ur self by mellie: 3:58pm On Jun 24, 2009
Why is everybody in the christendom attacking this man for heaven's sake. I barely even know him.Never been to his church but the very fact that he is being persecuted by all and sundry is beginning to convince me that he must be of God.True men of God are not loved by the world. They are hated, despised, scorned for what they do.Even Jesus Christ and his disciples were called 'demon possessed people' by the Jews.
They say he casts out demons and performs miracles in Jesus name. If we keep calling him demonic or a fraud we should also remember what Jesus said when he was called belzebub for excorcising a possessed boy.He said in these words " Can devils cast out devils. If the devil casts out his demons from their place of authority, will his kingdom stand''.
Even if he is 419, do you know how many souls he has won for God through his deeds and miracles. If the miracles are counterfeit I bet you their a people who will go to heaven because it made them believe in the existence of God. If the devil is using him then it is to his own loss because souls are being saved through his work; whether fake or not. We should be very careful the things we utter with our mouths lest we incur the full wrath of Jehovah.A word is enough for the wise.
