so I met my gyna yesterday and he said he will let me rest for this cycle and give me no drugs I should just continue with bding and eat well.......prior to meeting him, I visited another doctor some couple of days back and he suggested running an all round test for me. So I started with hormonal profile, and this Friday will be starting follicumetry(spelling not sure).

I didn't know hormonal profile is charged separately from day21 progesterone check.
well I let hubby rest this time and decided to foot the bill which is sapping me badly.....God dry.
yea and a pelvic scan as well.

Dh sa is great, so fingers crossed I pray everything comes out beautifully ok with these tests.

@kklove my sister has fibroids and she has done all she could to remove it without surgery and it just wouldn't go. Every doctor she has met, suggested surgery, so now she is finally accepted surgery which is scheduled for next month. In essence, if surgery is the best way out for you, tighten your belt sis and go for it. Others can advice you more on this. God is your strength.

max u shud use clomid is 6months...infact after 3months if it didnt work..it will most likely not work.....its best if clomid is used in combination with monitoring/scans to check the follicle/endometruim thickness etc..but NO!, most docs just prescribe the thing like no man biz, no monitoring, no nothing........
right procedure is start u with 50mg, observe u, if nothing is seen, then it cud be ramped up to 100mg daily....usually taken day 2 or 3..for 5 days.......some docs prescribe from day 5.......not very normal though

as in eh......my doctor just gave me the clomid, like that, he didn't say anything about monitoring or anything at all. Some doctors sha.and he loves money, private hospitals can Sapp people of thier money sha. God dey........
this is my first cycle using clomid and I so don't think I wanna use it agn considering my history of ectopic. My ovulation predict didn't even give me a firm/clear positive, was bding all through.

Please my dears, anyone that has used clomid before, pls help me ascertain this:
My cycle is usually a 28 day cycle and with opk i usually get a positive on day 12, so for this cycle i started using clomid CD2-CD6. The thing now is that today is CD13 and my opk is negative, i started testing yesterday which was CD12, negative as well . So please does clomid postpone ovulation and lengthy the cycle as well?

Another thing bugling my mind is how conception is not achieved even after detecting ovulation and bding very well ?

@mychildishere yes, the very first day you see blood (period) is referred to as the beginning of a new cycle and that is Day 1 of cycle CD1) which extends to last day before you see af again.

@dash01 please clear me on this ....is sodium bicarbonate (normal baking powder, N100 or so) same thing as bicarbonate of soda . About using it to make the veejayjay less acidic, I've also heard that, that you can use it wash the veejay to make it alkaline which is friendly environment to sperm.....oh well .....

@milayo my ectopic was last year November that is when i did the surgery, doctor asked to stay off ttc for 6 months, i started after 5months , March, went for the hsg May . All praise to God the other remaining tube is patent. I've read/heard cases where pple started 3months later after a tubal surgery.....what can i say....
Concerning the grapefruits, i think its that one that looks like big orange , cos that is what i bought.
i remember as a teenager, my mum is always buying this grape fruit, and she will ask us to juice it for her and warn us not to drink it for any reason, but i will so hunger for it and take the inside and eat, fast forward to today, i D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ take grapefruit D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ ask myself who send me . It is well. @milayo there is reddish grapefruits, those days when my mum used to take them, some have reddish inside when we cut them open.

Someone also mentioned orange and cucumber , you can also take with the grapefruits for cm.

Af showed ystrday, (rolling eyes) well my doctor decided i take clomid (50mg) once a day, starting from CD2, was a bit hesitant about taking clomid but with dh encouragement i started today.
i pray and trust God that this cycle ends with a BFP foR me and ttc sisters in Jesus name Amen.



i hope we are all doing great here, as for me am doing just great. i think the more closer we get to God the less we get worried about things because HE IS FAITHFUL THAT HAS PROMISED!
When af showed i didn't go wailing, i enter bathroom bath , wear pad, unlike before i will refuse to wear pad if At home convincing myself it is implantation bleeding that will soon stop flowing, no be person D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ tell me to enter bathroom go bath, even after seeing af i will still go for blood pregnancy test, holding on to a little hope that i could be pregnant, not until i start bding for that cycle, it will then dawn on me, back to square 1, my sisters this ttc aint easy but it will hapen and without delay, kai my God does not fail, that word has gone out of HIS Mouth!

@zenoj concerning the grape fruit, i thought it is said to be very acidic, and acidic veejayjay is not good for the sperm, pls water therapy.....is it drinking lots of water?
About eating right.....what food do you add and what food did you stop taking?
