Celebrities / Seven (point) Zero (spz) Fundraiser For Haiti | Nike Oshinowo by meluv: 2:30pm On Feb 02, 2010 |
Seven (point) Zero Date: 30 January 2010 Time: 6pm – Midnight Venue: Bubbles (Jades Palace) Admission: N3000 Alternative Means, DoJoes and LopeSidedWorks in collaboration with AIPA (Against Illiteracy Poverty & AIDS) Nigeria and Hope Haiti present Seven (point) Zero (SpZ). SpZ is a musical/art/concert event and auction to hold on Saturday 30 January 2010 to raise funds for victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Our aim is to raise monetary donations for a reputable international charity organisation bringing relief and aid to the people of Haiti. We believe that this endeavour will contribute significantly to restoring Haiti and bringing relief in this time of dire need. For the event, slated to hold at Bubbles (Jades Palace) Victoria Island, we plan to have major Nigerian artists including Show Dem Camp, Tuface, MI, Chocolate City, Ikechukwu, Lami, Sound Sultan and others perform a benefit mini-concert. Proceeds from the event will go to the chosen charity HopeforHaitisChildren.org through our partner charity, AIPA Nigeria Nike Oshinowo DVD Signing She will be having an official photo and autograph session & will be signing copies of her new fitness DVD “Fit, Forty & Fabulous” The DVD is only 2500 Naira Buy your DVD, get it autographed, take a photo and have a quick chat with the style icon! Date: Saturday, January 30, 2010 Time: 2:30pm – 3:30pm Location: Silverbird Galleria – Lifestyle Media Store Street: 133 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos I think we need to sort out the issues in our own backyard first, before sorting out that of our neighbours. It would have been nice if this event had actually been planned in favour of Jos and Haiti. Worse things are happening in Jos right now yet nothing has been done about it, instead they are planning an event to help Haiti. Sure Haiti needs help, but let's help our own people too, people are starving, and homeless in Jos. If only people could set up concerts like this to help Nigerians, Nigeria would be a better place rather than trying to look for international favours and recognition. |

And to think that M.I is part of this event and he's from Jos. He should be speaking in favour of Jos right now, not planning concerts for Haiti. |

Celebrities / Down The Aisle With Love: Nollywood Star Ini Edo & Phillip Ehiagwina’s White Wed by meluv: 12:17pm On Mar 10, 2009 |
I'm sooooo happy for her, Their Story Lovebirds Ini & Phillip’s love story began a few years ago when they met during one of Phillip’s visits to Nigeria and in his words, ‘It was simply love at first sight’. The couple began dating and maintained a long-distance transcontinental relationship peppered with numerous visits back and forth between the US and Nigeria before finally deciding to tie the knot. In November 2008, they celebrated their traditional wedding ceremony in Ini’s hometown. With all the tabloid speculation, trails & tribulations, one thing remained constant and that was the couple’s dedication and commitment to their relationship which has now culminated in their white wedding ceremony.
