The All Progressives Congress, Anambra State chapter, has vowed to ensure that the party’s flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, wins the 2023 presidential election.

The state Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, while speaking to the party stakeholders at the APC secretariat in Awka, on Saturday, said Ndigbo were not ready to play tribal or ethnic politics in the 2023 presidential election but would prioritise issue-based campaigns.

Ejidike insisted that the party was ready and fully prepared to deliver the state to Tinubu in 2023.

He said, “It is awesome that the Federal Government has done well in the South-East, some of the great things done in the zone, among others, include the second Niger Bridge, the Enugu-Port Harcourt and Onitsha-Enugu expressways. You can’t compare the achievements of the APC to that of the PDP who stayed for 16 years without anything to show for it, especially in the South-East. It is not yet time to count our blessings.

“We should avoid tribal and ethnic politics. Ndigbo should work hard in 2023 to be counted in national politics. And today, APC, as a party in Anambra, is more stable, coherent and not leaving any stone unturned in making sure our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, wins in 2023

It will take divine intervention for this strike not to last till December.

loss to ASUU. but the court could. the case is still on. court just asks them to resume while the case continues. at the end of the case which could take 4-6months, court could ask FG to pay them the 6 months salaries. for now, let them resume pending the outcome of the court hearing.

Tribal bigot: Presidency backs El-Rufai, reveals what Obi did to northerners as Anambra Governor

The Presidency has backed Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State for describing Peter Obi, the running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar as a ‘tribal bigot.

El-Rufai had in a tweet claimed that Obi supported his (El-Rufai’s) arrest by the Department of State Services, DSS in 2014 on the ground that “El-Rufai has no business being in Anambra State as it is not Katsina State.”

Speaking on the development, Buhari’s Special Assistant on New media, Bashir Ahmad, in a post on his Twitter page, accused Obi of deporting northerners from his state during his tenure as governor of Anambra State.

Replying a tweet from Peter Obi, Ahmad wrote: “It’s a FACT that when you were Governor you deported Northerners back home, majority from my State, Kano, Jigawa, Katsina etc, and it’s still very fresh in those people’s mind and their families. They don’t even need a reminder.
