Politics / Re: Modupe Odele To Support Peter Obi Financially by Merically: 11:15am On Jul 13, 2022
I have never supported any candidate or political party financially but in Obi am very ready to donate. Why it is very difficult to hold any of our leaders responsible and accountable is because they spent their life fortune just to be elected. After all politicians not father Christmas even father Christmas do make gain

Travel / Re: What Are Your Regrets For Leaving Nigeria? by Merically: 6:40pm On Feb 21, 2020
Lawalemi:
Amazing. I opened this thread to gather experiences but it's shocking that not anyone is regretting their adventure yet. My God, who will deliver Nigeria from evil leaders?

My dear you may not get the true situation of things by asking this question in this forum because we Nigerians are suffering and smiling, we pretend a lot even when all is not well, we keep saying yes is ok. Ask people who pass through Libya desert they will still say it's ok. We Nigerians just have a passion of hating our dear country forgotten where we're running to is built by the people of that country who have passion for their country. When things are not going well in US, the citizens keep saying God bless America but here in Nigeria the reverse is the case. In Nigeria nobody wants to contribute their quota but only blame games, so the earlier we Nigerians realise to build a nation of our dream the better for the future of this great nation Nigeria. I have lived, worked and still working outside the country. Just my opinion.

Politics / Re: Buhari Voted "Worst President In Nigeria" On Twitter Poll By Sahara Reporters by Merically: 10:54am On Jun 26, 2019
The result of the pool may not be accurate because we Nigerians forget easily, so we might have forgotten what happened during past president tenures. Also Nigeria situation had been on down thread going by the income of the country by service loan profile is of increase, which will have impact on any new administration. If things are not handle appropriately next administration (come 2023) maybe the worst, so it will continues until Nigeria masses decide to vote for the right candidates to lead the affair of this our great country Nigeria. God bless Nigeria.
Politics / Re: 2019 Elections: Oby Ezekwesili Seeks Public Support; Releases Bank Details by Merically: 11:03am On Oct 10, 2018
This is what we need in Nigeria as it's in other world like US, where party aspirant came public seeking for fund to run for elections, so that they can be held accountable. The reverse have be the case in Nigeria politics, Party Aspirant spend heavily to be elected, as we know Politicians are not father Christmas, which we expect them to spend for free without recouping whatever they have spent and make gain. In my opinion the only way Nigeria can enjoy the dividend of democracy is to reduce the cost elections. Oby2019 is right but Nigerians will not understand.
