I have been doing a small personal research and I want more Nigerian women to weigh in before I draw any conclusions. The question is simple when life gets hard, do you actually have somewhere safe to put it down? Or do you handle it alone and pretend everything is fine? I have gotten some responses already and honestly the answers are hitting different. Women who look like they have everything together are saying things like "I need a hug" and "I trust nobody when I am at my lowest." I am not selling anything. No company, no product. Just a woman trying to understand something and build something real from the answers. The survey is anonymous, takes 5 minutes, and there are no right or wrong answers. E nle o, my Ibadan people. I will keep this short because I know how Nairaland goes. The Future Awards Africa is one of the continent's biggest youth recognition awards. Since 2006, it has celebrated outstanding young Nigerians aged 18 to 35 across categories such as Tech, Entrepreneurship, Music, Film, Education, Agriculture, Journalism, Fashion, Health, Sports, Community Action, and more. We are trying to reach 500 nominations from Ibadan before the May 15, 2026, deadline. We are currently at 300. We need 200 more. Here is what I need from you: Think of one person in Ibadan doing something exceptional right now. Not someone who has already blown up, but someone quietly doing the work and deserving of a global stage. Nominate them. It takes two minutes. 👉 See all categories here: awards.thefutureafrica.com/categories 👉 Nominate here: /4sn1tAK Please drop a comment and tag anyone you think should be nominated. And if you know anyone in Ibadan online, send them this thread. Ibadan has always been great. Let us make it official.

I am looking for 20 people to help me sell a book and earn money doing it. Not a pyramid scheme. Not a "just share the link" situation with no support. A real affiliate opportunity with a real product that people actually need. Here is how it works. My ebook, Stop Being Invisible on LinkedIn, is already selling. It is a step by step LinkedIn profile guide built for professionals, NYSC corps members, students, and entrepreneurs who are tired of being overlooked. Every time someone buys through YOUR personal link, you earn ₦1,000 automatically. The book is ₦5,000. You keep ₦1,000 of every sale. No chasing. No invoicing. No awkward follow ups. Sell 10 copies this month and that is ₦10,000 in passive income from content you were already posting. Who is this for? Anyone with an audience. Career coaches. Content creators. Students. Corps members. Professionals. If people follow you and trust you, this works. What you get: Your own personal Selar affiliate link to track every sale ₦1,000 commission per copy sold A FREE copy of the ebook How to join: Fill out the form in the comments below and I will send you everything you need to get started. This is first come, first served. I am keeping the affiliate team tight so everyone gets support. Type "INTERESTED" in the comments if you are interested and I will send you the form link directly.

I kept watching smart professionals get passed over for opportunities they were fully qualified for. Not because of their skills. Because their LinkedIn was invisible. Impressive careers. Zero digital presence. Recruiters and clients searching for exactly what they offer and finding someone else instead. So I wrote the guide I wish had existed when I was building my own profile from scratch. Stop Being Invisible on LinkedIn is not a generic personal branding course recycled for African audiences. It was built from the ground up for professionals on this continent people who are building in public for the first time and need a practical framework, not theory. It covers: How to write a profile that actually gets you found What to post and how often, without burning out How to turn your experience into content that builds real credibility How to attract recruiters, clients, and collaborators without cold pitching anyone. If your LinkedIn looks exactly the same as it did two years ago, this was written for you. Available now on Selar, www.selar.com/stopbeinginvisibleonlinkedin
