Samsung Nigeria and Access Bank enter strategic partnership to make Galaxy S22 Series accessible to customers

In a bid to make its new revolutionary mobile device Galaxy S22 Series more accessible to customers, Samsung Nigeria has entered a strategic partnership with Access Bank to provide device financing for salary earners whose accounts are domiciled with the bank. The device financing facility is available to the bank’s customers from March 11, 2022.

Through this partnership, Samsung will be supporting Access bank salaried customers with a 50% reduced interest rate bringing the rate as low as 13.5% flat per annum and approximately 1.1% monthly. The loan is expected to be paid back in full to the bank by customers in 12 months. The loan does not require down payment or equity contribution.

Speaking at the event to announce the partnership, Executive Director, Access Bank, Victor Etuokwu said “We are very happy to have gone into partnership with Samsung Nigeria in order to give more Nigerians the access they crave to own the new revolutionary Galaxy S22 Series. Owning any of the Galaxy S22 series is easy, what all salaried customers need to do is to log on to QuickBucks to request for a loan needed to purchase Samsung Galaxy S22 Series of their choice. It is that easy” he added.

QuickBucks is an app of Access Bank that is downloadable on Google Play store for android phone users like Samsung. It is through this app salaried customers can request for loan and purchase the new Galaxy S22 seamlessly. Through the app, customers can choose any of the available Galaxy S22 devices, complete the application and pick up device at any SLOT store closest to them.

In her own words, Head of Retail, Samsung Nigeria, Joy Tim-Ayoola said “Samsung understands the economic difficulties currently being experienced in the country and we understand also, that our customers like the good things of life hence we have provided them with this partnership with Access Bank and Slot Systems to give them this amazing opportunity to own any of the model of Galaxy S22 series”.

Also speaking at the formal announcement of the partnership, Managing Director, Slot Systems, Nnamdi Ezeigbo said “Customer service is at the heart of what we do at Slot Systems and a partnership such as this is always a welcome development. We at Slot Systems are fully behind this partnership and will work with both organizations to achieve success” He said.

Samsung announced the release of the Galaxy S22Ultra, S22+ and Galaxy S22 at the Unpacked Event last month. These ground-breaking addition to the S Series features the first Spen in the S series, premium camera features like Nightography, long-lasting battery, innovative and safe ways to share — everything the Galaxy devices are is known for and more to make mobile experiences better and epic.

Samsung Nigeria has signed one of Nigeria’s burgeoning artiste, Teni the Entertainer, as ambassador for its A-series range of mobile phones in Nigeria. The announcement was made official after Teni signed a memorandum of understanding at Samsung office in Lagos.

Chika Nnadozie, The Marketing Team lead, Samsung Nigeria, said Teni represents the core values of Samsung. “The Samsung brand, Chika says, stands for quality, innovation, self-expression and excellence in performance. These very same qualities have been typified by Teni in the course of her career. Her quality and depth of work as well as versatility as an entertainer have endeared her to Nigerians and beyond. We are indeed glad to have her as our brand ambassador,” Chika added.

Marketing Manager, MX business, Samsung Nigeria, Omolade Agbadaola, said ‘the signing of the award-winning musician gives Samsung another window of opportunity of reaching out to more Nigerians via the teeming fans of Teni.

“It is important to us, as a brand, to connect with customers at all touchpoints and, in so doing, we have recognized and chosen Teni who is one of the biggest stars in the music and entertainment industry here in Nigeria, and of course in West Africa by extension. As we all know, Music and entertainment is a huge industry here and one of the passion points of people in West Africa,” Omolade added.

Commenting on the ambassadorial designation, Teni the Entertainer said she was thrilled to be chosen as an ambassador for Samsung A-Series brand.

This partnership is a mutually beneficial relationship, which I hope will continue into the foreseeable future,” she said, adding that “Samsung is a respectable brand all over the world for its reliable and durable products, which made it very easy for me to accept the offer of being an ambassador for the A-series range of phones.”
