Many people will tell you to practice the habit of saving, which is a good advice, but truth is, it takes being selfish/disciplined to save up in today’s Nigeria. Is saving up possible still, yes.

1. Learn to control money, don’t allow money control you
2. Learn to spend more on your needs and less on your wants
3. This is under point number 2, learn to cut your coat according to your size, don’t allow anybody (not even your own blood) pressure you unnecessarily.
4. All things being equal, que cera cera (what will be, will be). don’t stress yourself unnecessarily, just live and enjoy every moment.

If I don’t come across things like this online, I can’t wrap my head around why a parent will neglect their own child/children. It’s unfortunate. If i’ll advice you as a coach, i’ll say don’t pay evil with evil, cos who knows if it is your generational curse, just break that trend, less it affects your own family that you’ll make in the future. Some things about the blood cannot be manipulated, if she carried you for nine months and she truly birthed you, please avoid anything that will make her lay curse on you.

Note, we don’t always have to look for solution when some problems can easily be avoided. Prevention is better than cure. Take care of her, let her go and give God account of her own deeds.

sorry about your mother’s death. There is nothing wrong with your dad marrying another woman provided it’s death that separated your dad and your mum. He has not broken any vow ‘till death do us part’. Allow your dad move on, he has gone through a lot already by loosing someone he loves. If he finds joy again by remarrying, let it be. You are a lady, start working on becoming a better person for yourself. I don’t know your age rn, but in less than 20years, you’ll be out of that house and having your own family, so i’ll advice that you focus on what’s more important.

For me it was so much fun, from plucking guavas on our way to the saw mill, to playing mopol at the saw mill compound, playing hide and seek behind heavy logs of timber. Rushing and scooping saw dust and wood shafts, washing the saw mill workers using manual jacks to haul and roll heavy logs of timbers, watching how a man manned saw will first slice the logs to board, then the other saw will slice the boards to 2X4, 2X3, etc. Such type of saw mills no longer exist in my locality.

funny enough, gas was cheap that time oo. Economics says the lower the demand of a commodity, the lesser the price of that commodity. I think there was just this fear of explosion that was created in people that made people avoid it like a plague.

I didn’t use it but this your comment is a lie, Nigerians didn’t start selling everything until late 2000. Things like sawdust’s, wood shavings, etc... were free almost everywhere, you just got to go to the sawmills on time and beg their securities to allow you pack as many as you want. It’s a waste to them, so they need people to come and pack it.

this is a technical question that needs a technical answer. Mode of administration, the condition of the vaccine that was used, the reaction of the medication that was not properly handled. To mention a few, any of those could be the cause of the death. Note, I did not say any of those was responsible, all I said was any of those could be responsible.

Your opinions are spot-on. Vaccines storage and handling can pose huge health risks if not properly done.
Especially as vaccines are not "drugs"..they are actually "partially killed" viruses, weakened for body to overcome them by itself to confer immunity. But when not stored properly, the "partially killed" can regain its full potentials, causing the real viral damage to the body when given.

We have a case like this in Nigeria...the Pfizer polio vaccine that caused polio in Northern part of Nigeria many years ago.

Where this particular incident is troubling is that, mass cases of babies death would have been reported around that locality where the health centre is, if the vaccine is the problem.

Plus every drug, including the traditional drugs you guys swear by, is poision. It's because they are administered in doses that do their job, not kill the patient, that they work.

The toxins in local herbs leads to complications that kills faster than anything. Also drugs/medications can be as dangerous if it is wrongly administered.

I see a lot of people blaming the nurse, the doctors, the government, and so on.

The thing is, allergic reactions to vaccines do happen, and some of them can cause death. And it may have just been the sad thing that both twins happened to have an immune system that reacted to the vaccines.

It is also likely that the twins had a preexisiting condition that was not diagnosed prior to the vaccination, and that did not show signs until after the vaccination.

As many have pointed out, nothing is wrong with the vaccines, otherwise there would have been reports of more deaths from that center.

And it has nothing to do with who was the nurse or how the nurse gave the vaccine.


All in all, an autopsy and also a thorough investigation would give us an idea of what exactly happened.

I stand to be corrected, but I think it has everything to do with the nurse and how he/she administered the vaccine. Vaccines are like life diseases which are injected into the body system for the body to grow immune over the disease. In most cases, it should be administered with close supervision and following all the vaccine rules as stated by the producer. This is Nigeria sha, anything goes, but it’s sad.

Hmmm... humans are very complex creature and taking medicine, sometimes, na complex process..,..it goes beyond "no be tablets, no be syrup, no be injections, no be vaccines" ..

As common as paracetamol is, wey everyone dey take am, some people dare not...if they do and there is not intervention..na die.

Thorough investigation will have to be done to ascertain what caused this unfortunate incident...the irony, it may not have anything to do with the healthcare providers...it may just be the body system of these beautiful souls that was lost too soon.

spot on, but we’ll still blame the healthcare system that failed them. Many times when I visit the hospital, the first thing they do is run a test and no treatment will commence until the test result is out, which take less than few minutes. This isn’t even an emergency case, why administer treatment when you have not confirmed if there’s any allergies, reaction, etc. the attitude of majority of our health care workers will land them in jail in a saner clime. Ask Michael Jackson’s doctor, he can tell you better.

Unfortunately, Nigeria is not a country where we value life much. Imole died after treatment was administered to him, till date no one can figure out the cause of his death. People loose life because of the unprofessionalism of some health workers, if paracetamol will react in a patient’s body, why administer it at first?

Exactly , last week I felt I bit headache, I went to a nearby pharmacy to check my BP which landed at 105/85.....I no know wetin e mean na.
Now the guy told me my BP is low that he will give me a medication I said okay. My mind immediately touched me I had to call my mom to tell her about it while the guy was arranging the drugs, my mom shouted at me to run ooo ..that 105/85 is good oo that I should run away from there.
Na so I disappear from outside even with the guy money.
