Just to add, last month we co tacted the embassy and they said waiting time is now over 1yr 6months as against the initial over 1yr they claimed. I hope this statement from them is just to make me get my mind off it, it's been 1yr 2months since application today.

Congratulations!!

First, immediately get international passport for your two kids. Use the passport number to book for family reunion appointment for each of your babies.

Secondly, write the embassy an email with the two booking references for your children. The embassy will merge the applications with yours and invite the 3 of you at the same time.

Since you booked August last year year, you’ll likely get an appointment mail next month.

Please, house. I applied for FRV on 12th August 2022 and my husband has bluecard still no news from embassy for appointment. The thing now is that I gave birth to twins just 2weeks ago. I am confused, please what do I do? Will my babies have to wait or what? Please advise me on what to do. I am really exhausted. Thank you all

@codedboy95 I called them and they told me to send a mail to an address to ask for an update which i did 2days ago but still no response. I will wait till next week, if I don't hear from them, I will tell my HR to send a message to them. Please how did you handle your own case?

@codedboy95 i am in the 10th week post interview for bluecard visa and still no word from the embassy. It is well and i still believe God will do it soonest. I hope you are enjoying Berlin?

btw, I saw your previous post about applying for pre-approval yourself, how did you do it? can I mail you? I am already in berlin but I need pre-approval for my wife

Thank you so much for your comment!! I spoke with my employer and they said my start date will be adjusted. Hopefully 1st November will be the new start date just like yours. My job is not an IT job but 100% scientific, so starting remotely will be difficult.

Sadly, The embassy doesn't care about your start date. My initial start date was 1st of august but because of the delay, my employer kept moving it and now it is November 1st. Why they were not so worried because I started working with them remotely. so maybe you can propose working remotely with them if that is something they are open to but stay positive, I they will get in contact with you next week

Unfortunately, my job start date was 4th October 2022 and i still haven't heard from them. I contacted my employer and i was told it is not a problem since they can always adjust the start date on my contract but i do not know if the German embassy share the same view. It is well ooo. I believe God is in control as always.

Na wa ooo!!! I am in my 8th week of waiting post bluecard visa interview. This is the longest week of my life ooo. The relocation expert in Germany told me i didn't need a preapproval since my MSc was done in Germany but this delay is saying something else oo. I had my interview on the 12th August. For blue card, did you submit an A1 certificate or was it a requirement to speak German?
Also, did you use an NPC birth certificate or a declaration? (assuming you were born before 92).
I already had my interview with an NPC cert my parents got for me 11yrs ago.
Although I expect they would request a declaration via mail, I just want to know if anyone else has had success with an NPC cert.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am in the 7th week of waiting ie. Post blue card interview and yet no mail from the embassy but your testimony just encouraged me. I am believing God that very soon I will hear from them.

JFYI, I was asked to bring payslip to verify one of my past foreign work experiences. So anyone who is applying or has applied for a blue card visa should bear in mind that they can ask for you to provide bank statements to verify your work experience

Well from experience I think going to the embassy with preaproval from the foreigners authority is as good as getting your visa approved. I also think (I stand to be corrected) that the consequence of not applying for visa with the pre-approval letter is that the embassy now has to liaise with the foreigners authority, who then has to contact your employer or something of sorts which leads to delay.

With preaproval however your visa takes max of 3 weeks. I got mine within 2 weeks or thereabout.

I did not apply with pre-approval but my Masters degree is from a German University
