seunfly: I think they v always discouraged self repair in the past, people finds a way to break that software in the past and they will still do same to iPhone 13. My own is that people allows apple to bound them far too much.
Thinking maybe reprogramming the screen will work as dey have been doing on the true tone and battery
Let's wait for the Chinese ppl to figure it out If not eeh
We go see many iPhone 13 without face ID oo Or any crack screen iPhone 13 go cheap die
Imagine apple releases a car and after a while you get new wheels for it and the car knows those aren't the original wheels and lock up the car so it won't move amd displays a warning " not original wheels, drive is unavailable" we should probably expect that
Apple did it again... iPhone 13 screwed 3rd party repair.. Because if you break the display, your only course for a repair will be Apple or an Apple-authorized repair center.
Why is that?
It seems that Apple has tied the display -- yes, the display -- to the Face ID mechanism. This means that if you get a new display fitted, and the person fitting that display cannot carry out the proper pairing wizardry, then Face ID is dead.
Don't believe me? Now, not only are these videos impressive because we get to see someone so comfortably swapping parts inside a new iPhone, but we also get definitive proof that Apple has bound the display to the security system that deals with Face ID.
What this means is that if the display is swapped, the iPhone detects the change and disables Face ID.
So, if you break your display, your only current option is to go to Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider, and outside of AppleCare+, your out of warranty costs will be as follows:

Ahmading: Pls I need the glass. Van u help me with the price and where to get it in LAGOS
The screen guard or the touch glass?
Though which ever one are you referring to If you need exactly the screen guard buy it from AliExpress, or go to where dey are selling bulk screen guard, you will definitely see one dat will be manageable..
If is the touch glass you will have to order it from AliExpress, then take it to a repairer for them to separate the touch glass from the screen which is 50/50, or just buy the complete screen instead..
atheistandproud: Before us today, we have two very decent midrange phones competing for our attention. They are the Redmi 9T vs Tecno Camon 17.

That being said, the Redmi 9T would handle games and other graphical applications better. Why is that? Well the Redmi 9T has the better GPU and since it uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, games and apps (like GCam) are optimized for it.
Memory

Camera
This is one area on phones that is very important to a lot of people, the cameras. Lots of people rely on their smartphone camera not just for photo and video, but for work, meetings and other activities.
The Redmi 9T has a quad (4) camera set-up. The first is the main camera (wide) which is a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor. The second one is an 8MP Omnivision Ultrawide camera. The third is a 2MP Macro camera and the fourth is a 2MP depth sensor.
The Tecno on the other hand only has triple (3) camera set-up. The first is a 48MP (wide) camera. The second is a 2MP depth sensor and the third one is either a black and white or a QVGA sensor or purely just for aesthetic. All of the cameras on the Tecno are generic (the maker is unknown).
The Redmi 9T has the better cameras hands down. The Samsung GM1 sensor is tried, tested and very capable of delivering excellent shots.

The Redmi 9T has the better display options overall. The only area it falls short is the slower refresh rate which it posseses.

The Redmi 9T also has a Li-polymer battery but it is bigger at 6,000mAh. It supports 18W fast charge as well. The Redmi 9T takes this one.

The Redmi 9T has an infrared blaster and NFC. Both of which the Camon 17 lacks.
Connectivity The Redmi 9T has network bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40 and 41 for 4G LTE. Due to the modem on its SoC, it has upload speeds of 102Mbps and download speeds of 603Mbps.
The Camon 17 only has 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 38, 40 and 41. It has 75Mbps upload speeds and 301Mbps download speeds.
