Phones / Here's More Bad News For Hauwei, Facebook Will No Longer Support Hauwei Phones by Messymelly1: 11:38am On Jun 07, 2019 |
Facebook is no longer allowing pre-installation of its apps on Huawei phones, the latest blow for the Chinese tech giant as it struggles to keep its business afloat in the face of a U.S. ban on its purchase of American parts and software. . . Customers who already have Huawei phones will still be able to use its apps and receive updates, Facebook told Reuters. But new Huawei phones will no longer be able to have Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram apps pre-installed. . . Smartphone vendors often enter business deals to pre-install popular apps such as Facebook. Apps including Twitter and Booking.com also come pre-installed on Huawei phones in many markets. Twitter Inc declined to comment and Booking Holdings did not respond to a request. . . The move by Facebook dampens the sales outlook for Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, whose smartphone business became its biggest revenue generator last year, powered by strong growth in Europe and Asia. . . Huawei declined to comment. . . Alphabet Inc's Google said earlier that it would no longer provide Android software for Huawei phones after a 90-day reprieve granted by the U.S. government expires in August. But Google's Playstore and all Google apps will still be available for current models of Huawei phones including those which have not yet shipped or even been built. . . The Facebook ban, by contrast, applies to any Huawei phone that has not yet left the factory, according to a person familiar with the matter. Facebook declined to comment on when the suspension took place. . . In May, Washington banned U.S. companies from supplying technology to Huawei, part of a long-running campaign against the company. The United States alleges that Huawei is too close to the Chinese government and that its telecom network gear and other products could be a conduit for espionage, which Huawei denies. . . Buyers of current Huawei phone models that do not have Facebook pre-installed would still be able to download it from the Google Playstore. Future versions of Huawei phones, however, will not have access to the Google Playstore and its apps unless the U.S. government changes course. . . Huawei has said it was prepared for the U.S. action and vowed to work around any disruptions. But some customers at stores in Europe and Asia have told Reuters that they are reluctant to buy Huawei phones in the face of uncertainties, and analysts expect a dramatic drop in Huawei smartphone sales. |

Samsung announced deal with AMD their next phones will come with custom AMD Radeon graphics. Again Samsung has begun it's 6g network yet an illiterate Nigerian who knows nothing about technology will let person hear over. People rant about iris blaster that was first launched by Samsung in 2014 Only in Nigeria mediocrity is praised, India is set to launch 5g network, Samsung has begun 6g network yet we dunno when 5g will be launched in Nigeria. OnePlus released pop up camera this is called innovation not all about rebranding other's innovation. Most people crucify America forgetting hauwei is the only innovative Chinese company , 96% of equipments, chipset, graphics, memory card everything is been developed by u.s.a. Chinese only copies and rebrands at cheaper price, they are dependable and hauwei is China technology engine. When it comes to technology America dominates and hauwei and Samsung is their rival. 3 Likes |

Phones / Samsung Is Bringing AMD Graphics Technology To Its Smartphones by Messymelly1: 12:27pm On Jun 04, 2019 |
Samsung and AMD have made a surprise announcement today which could significantly change the graphics experience on the former’s future devices. The two companies have inked a strategic partnership in ultra low power, high performance graphics technologies. What this means in simple words is that Samsung’s future Exynos processors will integrate custom AMD Radeon graphics. The official press release is a little light on the terms of this deal. No financial details have been disclosed and it’s not explained what the “custom graphics IP” that Samsung will be getting from AMD entails. Future Samsung SoCs to feature custom AMD Radeon graphics It specifically mentions AMD’s recently announced RDNA graphics architecture which would suggest that this deal isn’t just patent based. Samsung will likely be paying licensing fees and royalties to AMD for its architectural IP which the company would then integrate into its own designs. AMD won’t be facing its traditional rival NVIDIA in this arena. ARM and PowerVR are the incumbents here. Samsung and AMD must be convinced that there’s more appeal to the latter’s IP with a particular focus on ultra low power solutions. This deal is also a major vote of confidence in AMD”s RDNA architecture which has already won over Sony for its next-generation gaming console. Being picked by the world’s top smartphone vendor is no small feat. “This strategic partnership will extend the reach of our high-performance Radeon graphics into the mobile market, significantly expanding the Radeon user base and development ecosystem,” said AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su. Samsung will be using the licensed technology in mobile devices such as smartphones and other products. It’s going to take some time before we see the fruits of this partnership in a Samsung device. Nevertheless, there are interesting times ahead www.tellkis.com for tech news |
Phones / Samsung Has Started Working On 6g Network by Messymelly1: 12:19pm On Jun 04, 2019 |
Samsung Electronics has opened a new research centre for the development of core technologies for 6G mobile networks, joining the global race for the still nascent technology, a company official has said. Samsung Research, the firm's integrated R&D organisation, has conducted extensive research on advanced cellular technologies and has recently upgraded a next-generation telecommunication research team to a centre to accelerate the development of solutions and standardization of 6G, according to a Samsung official. While 5G networks are just starting to roll out in early markets and the current 4G LTE still remains a mainstream mobile network in many countries, Samsung's move toward a 6G network is part of its long-term business plan to get ahead in the next-generation cellular technology, Yonhap news agency reported. Samsung launched the world's first 5G smartphone, the Galaxy S10 5G, in early April and has promoted its 5G solutions that can be used in a host of new businesses, including self-driving vehicles, smart factories and Internet of Things. South Korean tech companies have started working on future mobile technology to gain an early edge against the US and China, which have announced plans for 6G networks. LG Electronics in January joined hands with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) to open a 6G research centre, and KT, the nation's No. 2 mobile operator, last week signed an agreement with the Seoul National University (SNU) to collaborate on 6G research. Though still in an embryonic stage, the upcoming 6G aims to integrate satellites for global coverage to provide far high data rates and faster Internet speeds than 5G, according to the International Research Journal of Engineering and Technology. |
