Drexel University paid the United States nearly $190,000 after a former professor at the school allegedly used federal grant money for visits to Philadelphia strip clubs and sports bars. Dr. Chikaodinaka D. Nwankpa, the head of Drexel’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, is accused of submitting improper charges against federal grants over a 10-year period. The investigation began in 2017 after Drexel voluntarily disclosed improper charges to eight federal grants for energy and naval technology-related research it received from the Department of the Navy, the Department of Energy and the National Science Foundation. After an internal audit in 2017, Drexel discovered Nwankpa used the federal grant money to make personal iTunes purchases as well as for “goods and services” at Cheerleaders, Club Risque and Tacony Club between July 2007 and April 2017, investigators said. source - https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Drexel-University-Professor-Federal-Grant-Money-Strip-Clubs-Sports-Bars-Philadelphia-562456591.html |
jaeyking:Are you referring to me or the OP? If me, I was just buttressing your final point about decommissioned planes mate. I didnt mention anything about Nigeria. |
jaeyking:There are thousands of world war 2 aircraft being restored and flown all around the world. They definitely have been decommissioned, or else they wouldn't be in the hands of private organizations. These planes are mainly used for air shows. Fifi and Doc, two Boeing B-29 superfortresses, are prime examples. |
immortalcrown:I read comments like these and I cant but shake my head in pity. It's mindsets and people like these that have led Nigeria to the state that it's in today. What has the crash of a WW2 plane in the US have to do with Nigeria? If you had bothered to think properly and read, which, sadly, many people dont do, you would have found out that this was a VINTAGE and restored military aircraft. There is a difference between a military plane flying and a military plane being IN SERVICE. There are many organizations and charity groups that restore old aircraft to flying conditions in the US, particularly those that were used during the war. These planes are displayed amd flown at air shows for the viewing public. They are a part of the country's history. I repeat, because they fly doesnt mean they are in service. My advice - learn about something before jumping to conclusions. Not everything bad should be somehow connected to Nigeria. |
Dont know who runs his mouth more, this guy or FFK. |
