OBO King, Davido, who acquired the supercar for his 23rd birthday, has wrecked it.

It appears an Audi R8 which is allegedly owned by Davido has been wrecked in Lagos after the car was pictured on a flat bed on the streets of Ikoyi, Lagos.



The details of the accident remain unknown, however, the singer was not involved in the accident, as he is currently in the US and reports suggests that one of his friends wrecked it as Davido is known to be free with his friends.. _

The pictures were shared by an Instagram user who witnessed the wrecked car being taken away.

Leader of All Progressives Congress Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shed more light on his visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in London.


He noted that the President is ‘well’ and ‘alive.’

The Niger State Government has called for a week long prayer and fasting for President Muhammadu Buhari, who is on a medical leave, for good health and success of his government.

The Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Jonathan Tsado Vatsa, stated this in a statement.
Vatsa said though every indication showed that the President is doing well medically, but there was the need for prayers for him as the father of the nation.

Vatsa stated that in view of the fact that all the people of Niger State should endeavour to pray and fast specially for the President’s sustained good health and success in his bid to take Nigeria through the path of greatness.

The statement said: “As a government we are praying and we urge all Nigerlites to use the next one week starting today and ending on the March 5th, 2017 to pray for Mr President’s good health and the health of all as he leads the nation through the path of greatness.”
Vatsa added that the prayer is required from the generality of the people of the state irrespective of religious differences or any affiliation.

The Commissioner explained that by every indication, the good health of President Buhari is for Nigerians as he has dedicated himself to the service of humanity diligently and with fear of God.

Members of the House of Representatives expressed shock on Tuesday that the Presidential Committee on North-East Initiative budgeted N60m to award contracts to cut grasses in communities ravaged by Boko Haram insurgents this year.

The development is coming while the controversy generated by a similar contract worth over N200m awarded by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir David-Lawal, has yet to abate.

The N60m in the 2017 budget of PCNI is to cover contracts to cut “shrubs, grasses and trees” along the Maiduguri-Mama Road alone.

Barring any last minutes changes, seven ministers are scheduled to storm Kwara State in continuation of the Federal Government Town Hall Meeting, aimed at explaining policies and programme of President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.

The Town Hall meeting which holds tomorrow (Monday), is the North-Central Edition of the event which was initiated by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Guild gathered that the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, an indigene of Kwara, has arrived Ilorin to ensure the programme records.

Other expected at the event were Minister for Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Minister for Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh; Minister for Finance, Kemi Adeosun; Minister for Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu and Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung.

The Town Hall Meeting will hold at a Banquet Hall located opposite Kwara State Government House, Ilorin by 10am on Monday.

It would be recalled that Mohammed had however, explained recently that the town hall meetings provide an avenue for both the government and the governed to exchange ideas, thus fostering good governance in the country.

”It’s not so much about the government explaining its programmes and policies but also about those who are governed expressing their satisfaction or dissatisfaction. What I found today is that there is a lot of misconception and prejudices, which this kind of platform will throw more light on.”

A man is presently lying unconscious by the side of the road in Iyana-Iba, Badagry expressway, Lagos. He was pushed out of a moving bus, popularly called 'Coaster', and the bus zoomed off.

A witness who sells garden eggs close by said she was arranging her goods to sell when she heard a thud and turned around to see the bus move off.


She raised an alarm, calling to the other female traders nearby but they were all afraid to take any action.

"It happened like one or two hours ago, in broad daylight," She told Metronaija in pidgin English.

"I was arranging my market when I saw a coaster bus. I looked away then immediately I heard a sound, like someone was falling down. I turned and saw the man on the floor. I started screaming, calling other women but nobody could do anything. The coaster just went like that."

The woman also revealed that the body of the man has been searched for a phone or any means of identification, but they found nothing on him, not even money. It is believed the people who threw him off the bus took all that from him.

Another witness said she believes he was drugged in the bus and disposed of all his properties.

No one is sure whether the man is alive or dead. So far, people have just been passing and looking at him curiously.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday denounced the Seattle judge who lifted a ban for citizens of seven mainly Muslim countries, vowing that his government would reinstate it as affected travellers scrambled for tickets to try to quickly enter the United States.

The federal judge in the state of Washington on Friday blocked Trump’s week-old order to stop people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from traveling to the United States as his administration develops stricter vetting rules for immigrants and travellers that Trump says are needed to prevent attacks.

Washington state is the first to test the broad constitutionality of Trump’s travel ban, which has been condemned by rights groups that consider it discriminatory.

“The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!” Trump said on Twitter. It is unusual for a president to attack a member of the judiciary, which is an independent arm of the U.S. government.

“When a country is no longer able to say who can, and who cannot, come in & out, especially for reasons of safety & security – big trouble!” Trump tweeted.

Because of the temporary restraining order, the U.S. government said travellers with valid visas would be allowed to enter the country. The State Department said almost 60,000 visas had been suspended because of Trump’s ban.

The order had set off chaos and moved thousands of people to protest at airports across the United States last week.

“I am very happy that we are going to travel today. Finally, we made it,” said Fuad Sharef, an Iraqi with an immigration visa who was prevented from boarding a flight to New York last week.

“I didn’t surrender and I fought for my right and other people’s right,” Sharef told Reuters as he and his family prepared to fly from Erbil, the capital of the Kurdish region of northern Iraq, to Istanbul and then to New York, before starting a new life in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose has reacted to claims by the Lagos State Police Commissioner Fatai Owoseni that criminals might hijack the 2Face led protests on Febuary 6th.
In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said


“The duty of the police to secure Nigerians is mandatory, and not optional. Therefore, if there is any intelligence report suggesting the possibility of criminals hijacking the process, it is the duty of the police to provide security cover for the protesters.Court of Appeal affirmed in its judgement in Inspector General of Police Vs All Nigerians Peoples Party that protest or gathering do not require police permit or interference as obtainable in advanced democracy.

“Most importantly, the protest is said to be for and about good governance. So who is afraid of the protest? Who does the police represents or is representing in this issue?”
“Nigerians are hungry and angry, our currency is now above N500 to $1. If Nigerians want to show their anger, no one should prevent them. Nepotism, extra judicial killings, disobedience to court order and human rights abuses must stop. “The conscience is an open wound and the guilty is afraid. If the APC-led Federal Government is now acting as if the protest is against it, it means the federal government has accepted to be guilty as charged. “Like I said before, I support the protest.”

Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki has appointed Hon. Gbenga Makanjuola as the acting chief of staff to the office of the Senate President.

Until his appointment, Makanjuola was the Deputy Chief of Staff and is required to act in that capacity pending the appointment of a substantive chief of staff.

Makanjuola's appointment follows the acceptance of the resignation of Senator Isa Galaudu who had held the position.

Galaudu, who was a member of the seventh Senate was appointed on June 23, 2015 and had reportedly resigned without stating any reasons.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki said Galaudu first mentioned his decision to step down for personal reasons last November, adding that they both agreed on his final exit at the end of January.

Saraki thanked the outgoing Chief of Staff for his commitment and dedication to duty.
