Why are the men so EAGER and COMFORTABLE to despoil their lineage and become the woman in their relationships.

The idea that retaining your maiden name is somehow an HOMAGE to their family is RIDICULOUS.

NOBODY knows who these people are.
It's unlikely that ANYBODY would ever know who this people.

Refusing to take your husband's surname is an INSULT to that husband.
It means she doesn't value the husband enough.
She thinks he's UNWORTHY!

NO woman alive would refuse a surname like Dangote, Musk, Otedola etc.
Even if she were orphaned.

Refusal to take your husband's name is a REJECTION of the man and his leadership.

It's an INSULT!

But a husband who not only accepts that but DROPS his own surname to take his wife's name is CURSED!

What do you expect from their men who have been completely emasculated by their Dutch overlords, they can't protect their mothers ,prey on their women and now a new low, taking their wives surnames.

Quit the tantrums & look at it from a broader perspective of Nation Building.
To what extent does this cash largese contribute to Nation Building?
... against the background of Educational, Health & Security sectors that are all in shambles in the country.

If there was such reward system in those sectors, Nigeria would be a stronger nation.
Brain drain & Japa syndrome would be at minimum.
Our soldiers in Sambisa, Police at check points, university Graduates, striking Lecturers & hospital staff are all ill-motivated.

Ideally, wearing the Green & white jersey for your country is enough motivation & reward. But then patriotism is almost zero. People play because of cash gifts.

All these are absurdities and amount to misplaced priorities.

You've probably never held any leadership position so I don't expect you to understand reward and incentive systems. When a county sends a private jet to rescue just one citizen in a crisis situation, it's done to make a statement on national pride and to spur motivation in citizens.

The ripple effect will be felt everywhere, all shouting about soldiers have forgotten we have a remembrance day dedicated to them for this same reason. There is no day for ordinary citizens , enough said.
